As more and more of us are traveling to Australia, I think its useful to see what are hotels we are assured of, are actually what we are getting after thousands of miles of traveling to our dream destination. We booked The Travelodge Sydney because me and my partner thought its a reputable name, Travelodge all over the world. Fine within the UK, not great but always comes up to standard. An Excellent First Class Hotel

...We visited Sydney in January 2004 and spent three wonderful nights staying at this 5* hotel. Location ---------- The Sydney Four Seasons hotel is located overlooking the city's famous Rocks district. This gives you very easy access to the ferries which can take you to all the other resorts. It is also a short and pleasant stroll to the famous Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is also close to the city's shopping and business districts. To reach the hotel from the airport there is a shuttle service for a small fee and it will take about 20-30 minutes. Sydney Marriott hotel... the best i've ever seen!

Advantages: You can see the most amazing view of the harbour.
Disadvantages: it is a bit pricey, but it's absolutely worth it!

...I stayed in this hostel my first night in Australia - i booked a single room cos I figured after 24 hours on a plane anda rriving in Sydney at 9pm all I would want to do is have a shower and go to bed!! It cost just 19 pounds for a single room which was great considering you would expect to pay at least 10 pounds for a dorm room in Sydney, even up to 20 pounds for a hostel like Wake Up! just a little further down on Pitt Street! The hostel is located right in the middle of Sydney, within easy walking distance (even if you arel ugging a 20kg backpack around with you!) of Central train station and Museum train station. ...The Travelodge Sydney is one of the best value 3 star hotels in Sydney City Centre. Location This hotel is perfectly located a stones throw away from the action; a mere block away from Oxford St where you will find funky cafes, restaurants, Sydney's best choice of late bars for the clubbers among you and great shopping. Other nearby attractions Pitt Street Mall which is renowned for its shopping is less than a kilometre away as is Darling Harbour, the rocks, the opera house and the harbour bridge. ...Sydney General Before I went to Australia I had this image in my head of the Sydney Opera and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, this was the first thing I thought about when I thought of Australia, so the first thing I did when I arrived was drive down to see it for myself! All the major hotel chains have hotels in Sydney, although I would avoid the Hilton as it is a wee bit dated, (but nothing wrong with it, so don?t panic if you have already booked it!). Some of the best hotels are around the Darling Harbour area. If you want to go real cheap, there is always the Youth Hostel.
