2 STAR HOTEL THAT SHOULD BE FAR MORE

Advantages: Excellent value for money and extremely clean and tidy
Disadvantages: Slightly to far to be able to walk to city centre

It looks modern, compared to other hotels that appear to have been built many years ago. From outside, it did look well kept and clean. Disadvantages: No real disadvantages.

...Stayed at the Saville in April 2007. I had heard mixed reports about it so was a bit apprehensive. The studio apartment was very well equipped with washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave, full oven & grill and 2 TV's as well as DVD player and hi-fi. The lighting was a bit low especially in the bathroom, but on the whole the room was very comfortable and elegantly decorated It was Easter weekend and there was quite a lot of noise on the first night from some girls in a nearby apartment, but after that no problems. The staff were polite but a little distant, and the concierge although helpful was a bit unforthcoming with information. We had to push him for more details than he seemed prepared to give. The Star Hotel - An absolute Gem!

Advantages: Food - Staff - Location - Everything
Disadvantages: NOTHING !

...Just back from a wonderful stay at The Star hotel in Kingussie. We stayed for a 5 night break in Sept. and cannot find fault. We were welcomed by the owner, and shown to our room. Good size, with large double bed, nice dressing table & warbrobe with plenty of space for all our walking gear. Tea & Coffe making facilities aswell as an iron & hairdryer. You can have the option of having a bath or shower, we chose bath, which was huge! Ample car parking behind the hotel which also doubles as a little beer garden. Breakfast & dinner included in price...and to be honest we have never eaten so much in our lives!!! Absolutely amazing especially for the price! A decent but basic 2 star hotel near Bournemouth Pier

Advantages: Good value for money and good location.
Disadvantages: Based on the price, none.

...heating radiators, but also had openable windows which looked out on to the sea. Good wardrobe space, a dressing table and draw space. The bed was comfortable enough and the linen and pillows were of a good standard. The restaurant/bar was reasonable and the staff on reception were polite and helpful. I did not have a car but there was some car parking space outside but I don't know if this would incur an extra charge. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Bournemouth pier and a similar distance from Bournemouth town centre. Its abour 2 Km from Bournemouth Railway Station. Hotel stays in Bournemouth are quite expensive so I'd recommend The Russell Court as one of the better value 2 star hotels to stay at....

...My Husband and I have just returned from The Star Hotel, the hotel while being old fashioned it is extremelly clean and the staff very helpful and pleasant, the food is excellant I defy anyone to find better value for the money, the day before I arrived I injured my back and the girl on reception called Tanya kept heating my back pad in the microwave oven for me, she is a little treasure, on our second day we booked to return in March 2009 and we are looking forward to it, yes the hotel has no lifts but that is no problem, the portions of the food given are exceptional I'm sure I've put a stone on in the four days we were there. It is in a great location for seeing all other local sites, I can really recommend going to see the Reindeers just outside Aviemore a truly great experience...

Sydney Marriott hotel... the best i've ever seen!

Advantages: You can see the most amazing view of the harbour.
Disadvantages: it is a bit pricey, but it's absolutely worth it!

Money was a problem, but we decided that if we wanted a holiday to remember it would have to be luxury, so we decided on Sydney... as far away as we could get, down under!!! We looked through many brochures and many websites, to look for a fantastic place to stay, I have to say the most appealing was the Marriotts. The pictures showed the most amazing habour, the water sparkling a lovely crystal blue, and all the buildings surrounding it looked magnificent, like it was coated with shine, the picture did not look real. We decided to go for it even though we knew it would be less than we hoped for, we thought the brochures had comercialised it and with a computer changed...

Previous reviews of this hotel have only really described the casino area, but you can have a great time staying here even if you aren't into gambling, because there's lots of places to eat and things to see and do.
