McCoy's Salt & Malt Vinegar
Advantages: Delicious!
Disadvantages: Quite a few calories!
...There's salt and vinegar crisps...and then there's McCoy's Salt & Malt Vinegar. Accept no imitation. The Pringle is of course, addictive. The Walker is of course an old favourite. But the McCoy is the 'man crisp'...
The familiar ridged style crisp is a favourite with pub snacks, but more and more they are becoming a household favourite...especially if I've anything to do with it!! The glossy silver and blue packaging is eye-catching, but as you'd expect, they're not the 'healthiest' of crisps...if such a thing exists!!
At 164 calories for each 32 gram bag, there are certainly salt and vinegar crisps out there which can be deemed better for you, but few will match McCoy's for flavour. When biting into one of the thick cut crisps, the sharp vinegar flavour can really test your tastebuds. Combined with the salt it's flavour that...

* The Real McCoys *
Advantages: Great Flavour , Good Price
Disadvantages: None
...On a recent shopping trip to Sainsburys, I was feeling rather peckish and therefore I was looking for something that I could eat on the way home. As I searched the 'crisps' aisle , my eyes were snatched by an 'offer' sign. "2 for £1.50" it read , I looked at the item and saw that it was 'MCcoys crisps'. Into the trolley they went.
I have also loved McCoys crisps , however it is not often that we buy them as we usually opt for our usual ; Walkers. Now I have nothing against Walkers Crisps , I love their flavours , especially Prawn Cocktail however I prefer something 'filling' , which is where McCoys come in. Yes Walkers are a good snack , but I happen to find them too light, whereas McCoys are filling enough to satisfy my needs.
I took out a packet of McCoys Salt and Vinegar from the large bag. I like the design , I think it is...

The Real McCoy!
Advantages: Strong Flavour!
Disadvantages: Smelly Breath!
...Okay, so it's Wednesday and I was feeling a little down earlier so I thought a little treat was in order, so I indulged a little.... okay then a lot.
But when I was in Henry Healey's this lunch time buying my usual lunch, I just happened to be glancing over at the crisp stand and there they were, McCoy's Cheddar & Onion, "screaming" at me to buy them and who am I to refuse?
You must have seen these KP branded snacks on your travels to shops, supermarkets etc., In their easily recognisable gold and green foil
packaging, which helps to retain freshness which can I just say, they do rather well.
It's probably not a good idea not to have too near your nose when opening, the smell has been known to put some people off, not me, I love the smell of cheese - the stronger the better is my motto. I can hardly wait before stuffing these...

Not the real McCoy...
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Cost, cleanliness
...2 headchefs had recently left. It showed.
We also thought £5.50 for a glass of 175ml house wine was excessive.
If our lunch was an example of their cusine, the glory days of the McCoy brothers are sadly over....

Menacingly Mischevious McCoy's
Advantages: Taste nice, crunchy, flavour full
Disadvantages: A Bit Sickly, Very noisy, Hurts tongue if eat too many
...The Real McCoy?s are very strong flavoured crisps. I had cheddar and onion after sending my husband to the shops for some treats last night he came back with a multipack of McCoy?s which had only cost him 39p since the best before date was the same day. Usually they cost around £1.18 for a multipack of 12 x 35g crisps. Or 40p for a 50g single pack.
These crisps do something to the back of your throat what I call a kick. You know a really strong flavour suddenly reaches the back of your taste buds and you feel like smacking your lips together. Moorish mouthfuls of tasty, tantalising crisps.
If you like very strong flavoured crisps then you will like these I?d compare them in strength to a crisp called ?Seabrook?s? though they make ?Walkers? look weak in comparison. They?re a bit of a taste challenge and they?re great if you...

The real McCoys!!
Advantages: Tasty, strong flavour, crunchy
Disadvantages: not amazingly healthy
...I love crisps of any description, usually Walkers but when I'm in the mood for a treat I pick McCoys.
McCoys are produced in the UK by United Biscuits. According to their website they are now the third biggest brand in the bagged snacks market with 5 million packs being consumed each week, shocking figures!!
McCoy's are flavour ridge cut potato chips. The great thing about these is that the chips are quite thick and crunchy and each one has a very bold flavour. Unlike some brands of crisps it seems that each crisp has been coated in the flavour which is nice because you get a really strong taste. They are often marketed as "male" crisps as I think they conjure up an image of strong, working crisps and of being "the Real McCoy".
The Salt and Vinegar flavour is very tangy so if you love S&V this is definitely a good choice for you...

They're McCoys and they're twisted
Advantages: Tasty
Disadvantages: Fattening
...I?m a bit of a crispoholic and enjoy a bag of McCoys crisps at the best of times, but when I saw these McCoys Twisted I just had to give them a try.
I plumped for the Salt and Vinegar with a Chilli Twist since salt and vinegar are by far my favourite flavour.
Like all McCoys these crisps are thick crinkle cut crisps or ridged as they like to call them. They?ve been described in the past as a ?man?s crisp? because they are so much thicker than ordinary crisps (is that akin to saying that men are thicker? I?ll leave you to decide that one!) .
Boring stuff out of the way first, they come in large 50g bags, so there are 260 calories a bag and there?s 15.2g of fat in the bag, but as I?ve said before, no one eats crisps of any kind and expects them to be good for you.
The crisps are nice and crunchy despite being thicker than most...

sylvester and tweety mysteries
Advantages: very funny
Disadvantages: show repeats often
...I watch tv quite a lot and I enjoy watching cartoons with my nieces. However I can honestly say that I have never really liked original characters such as Mickey mouse and Daffy Duck. Therefore Sylvester and Tweety has never been one of my favourites.
The cartoon is about an old lady who has a cat called Sylvester and a bird called Tweety. Sylvester tries to eat Tweety and the old lady has to stop him. However they get up to lots of mischief in the process.
The programme is suitable for people of all ages, but the programmes not that beneficial for children as it has no educational value. It is fairly funny though and that is its only positive point. Apart from the fact that the voices of the characters are outstanding.
On the downside they show repeats of the programme quite often and this is annoying. I do recommend it, but if I was...

These are the REAL McCoys.
Advantages: Great crunch, great flavour
Disadvantages: Too strong for some.
...If you want a strong crinkle cut crisp with a powerful flavour and tastes like it has been cooked the traditional way, you could do a lot worse than buy a bag of McCoys crisps.
Appearance.
-----------
The Packet is normally a shiny gold colour which portays quality. Using the foil packaging gives the crisps a better shelf life.
It draws your attention to it in the shops as no other packet looks like it.
Texture.
--------
They are rigid, crinkle cut crisp of a fairly un-uniform size. Where as many Crisp manufacturers try to keep all of the crisps the same size, McCoys tend to offer a varied crisp size that makes you think it is more traditionally made.
The crisp is quite thick too which means it has a very tough texture when crunching into it. The flavourings that cover the crisps are also quite predominant throughout the bag...

Steak and Ale, the Real McCoys
Advantages: big chunky crinkled crisps with lots of flavour!!
Disadvantages: They leave an after taste plus they are truly fattening
...Hi Every one!
The Real McCoys are just the thing to have if your feeling rather hungry or it's just those times when you want to snack. I know that they fattening but I just walked over the crisp section in the shop and thought to my self I fancied something but wasn't sure which one to choose!. I am watching my weight so I just though about treating myself.
These a the Real mcCoys Limited Edition flavour (Steak and Ale) they come in a Gold/brown and green foiled packet. This gives the crisps that extra freshness.
It states in white writing across the packet McCoys.
This is what struck my attention plus the fact they added Ale flavouring with the crisps. So I chose them and took them to the counter to pay for them.
They were 40p which at first though was alittle expensive for my liking but I endulged this time.
When I got them...
