What is Sylvester Stallone doing

Advantages: Loads of racing action/great for kids
Disadvantages: Just plain daft

...set in the late sixties/early seventies (see: Robbie Williams/Supreme video). It would have added more passion, character and substance to the plot. The scene mentioned in the previous paragraph would have been plausible. I had to ask myself what type of racing is it supposed to be. I?m not a racing expert, but these cars were neither F1 or Indy series. Although some of the crash scenes are spectacular and some of the best I?ve seen, there is still room for improvement. Some of the scenes are obviously computer generated (OK - a little better than Mummy 2) and look like something created for a Sony Playstation. There is one scene where Stallone is seen driving one of the cars out from a presentation to go after his team mate (Jimmy Bly) who seconds before took off with the other car. Well anyway, Stallone?s head is superimposed...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

sylvester and tweety mysteries

Advantages: very funny

...I watch tv quite a lot and I enjoy watching cartoons with my nieces. However I can honestly say that I have never really liked original characters such as Mickey mouse and Daffy Duck. Therefore Sylvester and Tweety has never been one of my favourites. The cartoon is about an old lady who has a cat called Sylvester and a bird called Tweety. Sylvester tries to eat Tweety and the old lady has to stop him. However they get up to lots of mischief in the process. The programme is suitable for people of all ages, but the programmes not that beneficial for children as it has no educational value. It is fairly funny though and that is its only positive point. Apart from the fact that the voices of the characters are outstanding. On the downside they show repeats of the programme quite often and this is annoying. I do recommend it, but if I was...

Caine and Stallone v The Nazi's

Advantages: Excellent Football fottage.
Disadvantages: Stallone attempts to steal every scene.

...I should have known when it said that Sylvester Stallone had written this movie that it really wouldn't be worth watching. Well, ok I did know which is why I had no intention of watching it until someone came wandering into one of my labs late last night with the movie burnt onto a CD...gotta love the internet. Anyway, work forgotten(as usual) a group of us crowded around a terminal to watch Stallone et al. doing the Rocky thing all over again... That is no word of exaggeration, this really was like watching Rocky again. Sylvester Stallone seems to have one script idea and just keeps changing the locations. ...This is a disaster movie like you have never seen before. The special effects are incredible and depict a massive explosion in a tunnel sealing both ends but leaving survivors trapped and suffocating slowly due to toxic fumes. Stallones goes down to help them to get out. The great thing about this movie is how one thing happens straight after another so its pace carries you along for the ride. It develops the characters perfectly so you can sense what each is thinking. It all combines to create a rollercoaster that never fails to bore or disappoint....

Demolition Man: In the 90's, Stallone was the future

Advantages: Bullets, Chaos, Decent FX and Snipes bizzare dungarees
Disadvantages: Suspension of disbelief only goes so far, oh, and Sandra Bullock

...There was a time, before Emo, Judd Apatow and cinematic standards, that all you wanted to do when you went to watch a film was witness a big muscle bound guy shoot another bigger muscle bound guy with an even bigger gun. Then say something clever and witty afterwards, this time was the 90's. Inbetween playing Rocky or Rambo, Sylvester Stallone proved himself to be a very talented at this, admittidly, probably not quite as talented as Schwarzenegger, but the the man knew how to look cool while holding a machine gun. ...Now I remember going to see this at the cinema in High Wycombe when it was released, it was a rare day off work spent feeding my inner sci-fi nerd. I am a fan of 2000AD and Judge Dredd and used to read the comic and graphic novels so I did already have a good working knowledge of Dredd and his back story.
