However.... the following day the message was back. I decided that I would use the benefit of the offered live chat that came with the product and enetred a chat room. After been told I was 10th in the queue and waiting for 20 mins even though it had stated the wait was only 2 mins. I got into a conversation with Radiq who told me to completely uninstall the program and went through ways of opening folders etc to make sure that all of the previously installed versions of Symantec had gone... as he felt that this was the problem. Advantages: Easy to use, Easy to update

...We all know about Norton antivirus owned by Symantec (Used to have something to do with Dr. Solomon but can't remember). They are the world's leading security Software Company for Microsoft Windows based computer systems and are best known out of all the antivirus software available today. With the increasing number of viruses being spread over the Internet, people can no longer afford not to have antivirus software installed whether it is at home or at work. Not having it is asking for trouble and you'd be running the risk of losing all your work, music, pictures, addresses and everything else that's saved on your PC, especially if you don't have backups of your files. ...Apparently, "Norton AntiVirus from Symantec is the No. 1 anti-virus software in the world! I used Norton antivirus for about 5 months, before I could bear using it any longer! I'll be fair to it, I didn't get any viruses, but then again there are billions of antivirus programs that stop you from getting viruses, and you don't have to pay so much for them! As there aren't many, I'll start with the good points: Effectiveness: In the time I used Norton, I didn't get any viruses, and it did a good job of blocking unwanted popups and trojans. Advantages: Picks up SOME viruses, better then nothing.

This guy had full norton system works and AV and was still having trouble with his comp, he un-installed norton.. which took him about 2 hours.. since its nearly impossible after its stuck on there, it does NOT like to be un-installed. Then he installed *** ** ***** (another anti-virus), it found 3 viruses norton 5.0 didn't.. and seemed to fix his comp, this verison of AVG was 2 months out of date and found 3 trojans norton didn't, he then updated *** and scanned again only to find another 2 viruses. (Sorry, i have re-frained from saying the name of the other anti-virus, as it may be a rival product of symantec's) If that isn't enough...
