...After buying a brand new computer last November complete with a trial of Norton and having no problems for 3 months, I decided that Norton were the "way ahead" with Anti-virus programs and therefore shelled out a costly £60 for the Norton 360. Installation was simple, consisting of a program that apparently enabled the removal of all other Norton programs that had been previously installed. I also installed the same program on two other computers in the house, as this is a feature of the program, up to 3 computers can share the antivirus for a year. This all seemed amazingly simple for a simple computer user like myself and therefore my initial thoughts of Norton 360 were impressive. ...We all know about Norton antivirus owned by Symantec (Used to have something to do with Dr. Solomon but can't remember). They are the world's leading security Software Company for Microsoft Windows based computer systems and are best known out of all the antivirus software available today. With the increasing number of viruses being spread over the Internet, people can no longer afford not to have antivirus software installed whether it is at home or at work. Not having it is asking for trouble and you'd be running the risk of losing all your work, music, pictures, addresses and everything else that's saved on your PC, especially if you don't have backups of your files. I used Norton antivirus for about 5 months, before I could bear using it any longer! I'll be fair to it, I didn't get any viruses, but then again there are billions of antivirus programs that stop you from getting viruses, and you don't have to pay so much for them! Norton is well worth the price anyway so you might as well buy the real thing. Attention: if you were to download this program it could be of little use to you as you would not be assured a years worth of free updates. You may want to note that Symantec has produce many programs to aid you with your computer troubles and security such as CleanSweep (i believe it is called) and Ghost. This is definitely a top pick! There are worse strains of viruses out there: Some will attack your hard drive, delete everytyhing they can attach themselves to, forward themselves to other users via your e-mail account, et cetera.
