The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown- Ancient Mysteries

Advantages: A good read
Disadvantages: Part of the plot is not too convicing

.... Personally, it gives me a good reflection for my faith. And finally, even though there are a few issues with the book, overall it is still a good read. For those who are new to Dan Brown, I would not recommend to read it straight away as it may end up being different from your expectation. Reading other of his books will get you used to his style of writing. Then you can proceed with the Lost Symbol, which I think is slightly different to his other works....

...January 2003 was a complicated month. On the lst January, my husband had to go to hospital and be operated on. It was only a small operation but he dreaded it all Christmas and he came out of hospital on the 3rd. On the 4th, his knee swelled up like a balloon. Apparently something to do with the position he was on the operating table which meant a month off work. We live a kind of rustic life here in France and when one cannot work, the other has to and I spent January wallpapering old ladies houses because we needed to eat !!! Advantages: Reaslistic physics and swing system, 'real' golfers and courses
Disadvantages: You'll need a fairly powerful PC to run the game properly

...Its kind of a tradition to make a sport game using the name of a sporting hero/legend but the normality is that the game will turn out to be fairly poor because the developers tend to become too complacent due to the endorsements. The Tiger Woods series from EA hasn’t really been that great either, but of late EA have really stepped up a gear and released some excellent titles such as The Lord of the Ring: Two Towers, Fifa 2003 and most notably Tiger Woods 2003. Langdon Returns For Adventure No 3

Advantages: Sticks to the principles of the series
Disadvantages: written with the movie in mind rather than purely a book

...and comparisons back to the previous book were bound to be drawn. I personally have been looking forward to Lost Symbol but I seem to come from a smaller camp of Brown fans who think his best book was in fact Angels and Demons. Could he possibly deliver another book to follow in the success of the previous instalment of the Langdon saga? Rather than following the formula for the other two books directly Brown has taken a slightly different approach to this book. The writing style and the short chapters are exactly the same as the previous 2 outings for Langdon, but the plot takes a slightly different twist. The previous two books were written as solely books, but this one has a real feeling that it's been written with the movie adaptation in mind. It doesn't take away anything for the plot but there are a few more twists than the previous books...
