The Vampire's Assistant, what a sequel!!
Review of The Vampire's Assistant - Darren Shan by  x__Amz.Loves.Harry__x

Advantages: anyone of any age can enjoy, gripping storyline
Disadvantages: really difficult to put the book down

...as a vampire's assistant has begun. Cover design The cover design for this book was again designed by Tim Byrne (the same man who designed the Cirque du Freak book) but this time there is just a rather freaky looking face with bright green eyes and an open mouth showing lots of razor sheep teeth. As the face is red coloured and sort of blended into the black background colour of the book, it almost looks inhuman, which Darren now is. I think that there is a picture of Darren on the cover because it gives the reader a strong image of what he was actually described to look like in the book, because different readers will each make their own images of Darren and the rest of the characters and storyline as they read the book. Again though there is the 'skull' logo at the top of the book which is the symbol for the 'Saga of Darren Shan... Read review

SKY - Diary of a Dishless Wonder
Review of Sky - Sky Digital by  BNibbles

Advantages: Good package pricing - prompt postal confirmation
Disadvantages: Difficulty getting to speak to a real live human

...'s no good, I have extreme difficulty bringing myself to pronounce the name of anything headed up by Rupert Murdoch.) However, following the not-so-shock news that ITV Digital has just turned belly-up, and given our joint addictions to "ER" on E4 and “Enterprise” on Sk… One, I'm forced by circumstances to consider the S-word and possibly even to SAY "Sky" - THERE, I've said it! THE CHOICES My street is also cabled out by Telewest, but perusal of their web-site shows, that to get E4 and Sky One, you have to dig two levels deeper into their option packages until, (unless you take on phone or broadband internet as well), they fail to compare, price-wise with Sky - but it's a close race. Besides which, Telewest's set-top boxes do themselves no favours by being totally incompatible with my VCR, whereas the ITV Digital and Sky offerings... Read review

Enterprise-ing rental firm!
Review of Enterprise Rent A Car by  mightyred

Advantages: Very helpful + cheap
Disadvantages: none???

...I used Enterprise several times whilst at uni in Canterbury. A couple of times to get me back up to Manchester when my parents couldn't collect me, about 3 times to visit my girlfriend in Nottingham and also once for a trip to Brighton. I've since used them once when my car had to go in for repairs and once for a business trip. Each time Enterprise were very helpful - they really couldn't do enough to help. Every time they came and collected me (even when I live about 500 metres from their depot - at that time I didn't know where they were!). I find this collection/drop-off facility incredibly useful and I'm sure that it gets them alot of business. They have a good range of cars - right from basic Corsa's etc upto e-class Mercedes. I've driven a Corsa, an Nissan Almera and also a Vectra. All three were immaculately kept... Read review

Excellent Enterprise Efficiency
Review of Enterprise Rent A Car by  hammd1974

Advantages: Helpful, Efficient, Service with a smile
Disadvantages: Time keeping

...that little hiccup everything else went very smoothly. The paperwork was waiting for me when I arrived, and I was offered a Tea or Coffee while everything was completed. I signed the paperwork, checked over the car for damage and paid my £50 refundable deposit. Enterprise's office was small, compact and very minimalistic but as I don't work there it didn't really have that much effect on me. The very charmin young lady showed me to the car, helped me fit the car seats and put the pushchair into the boot. She showed me how to operate all the controls and how to open the petrol cap, along with reminding me that the car took unleaded petrol. She then talked me through all the emergency phone numbers in case I needed them. Thirty minutes later I was seated in the car and drove away. I had the Almera (not a car that I would recommend) for one... Read review

Enterprise Makes It Easy
Review of Enterprise Rent A Car by  Pelenya

Advantages: Company will send the car to you, multiple pick-up and drop-off locations, competitive prices
Disadvantages: none known

...I was having problems with my car (a 1999 Plymouth Breeze) before this past Christmas. It was leaking fluid from the front end. I took it to the local repair center to have it repaired. The report came back that it was believed to be a cracked head gasket and would best be repaired by a licensed Chrysler dealer. Therefore, I had to take it to the nearest Chrysler dealership, approximately 45 miles from my home. This presented a problem for me, because there is only one car in our household. No one in my family had a spare for me to use. How was I going to commute to and from work? I asked the Chrysler dealership if they supplied "rental cars," and the answer was, "No." They instructed me to contact nearby Enterprise Rent A Car, and so I did. The people at Enterprise, upon first call, were most helpful. They asked what type... Read review

Enterprise - star trekkin to great car hire
Review of Enterprise Rent A Car by  philippephiloppe

Advantages: Very flexible; great service
Disadvantages: None that I experienced

...of action. Anyway the normal car hire place they use was miles away - Gatport Airwick to be precise - and it was now 7pm and I didnt fancy the hike. So he suggested an alternative - our reviewee....Enterprise about 5 minutes drive away. But Enterprise were shut - as you would expect, it being well beyond going home time! Ah but were they to be deterred? Nay verily for indeed the gallant young man sadi that he would be happy to go back to the office, open up shop and let us have a car that very night. Could we meet him there at 8pm? Well yes, of course we could. So we waved goodbye to AA man (he has no further part to play in this review) and hot footed it round to Enterprise. True to his word, there was our Hero, Enterprise man, opening up shop as he had promised. Apparently it was 'no trouble at all' to him (I'm sure it was, but he... Read review

New Enterprises
Review of Sky 1: Star Trek - Enterprise by  nebcsa17th

Advantages: Seeing it all evolve
Disadvantages: Some things are lost within later series

...I am not what i would class as a trekkie, ask me 100 questions about all the series, from the original to Enterprise, i would like to think that i could get a fair percentage of them. Much as i enjoy watching the many variations of star trek, although i will grasp the general story line, i don't think i could tell you the episode names and numbers. So i think we can gather, much as i like it, i am not a boffin on the subject. Enterprise is the latest in a line of Star trek series. I have enjoyed them all and this is still good stuff. The secret is not to judge it by the style and character of the other series. I remember when The next Generation first came out. I was a lover of the original and was in the mind set that a new series was a bad idea. My sister said to me, " give it a chance and watch it as a separate programme from... Read review

OFF DIGITAL
Review of ON Digital - On Digital by  lupine_howler

Advantages: NONE!
Disadvantages: EVERYTHING!

...carried the box into town myself and handed it back to the shop assistant. "Sorry we can't take it back as it is past the 7 day return deadline" claimed the shop assistant. "No it isn't" I replied, and showed him the guarantee which clearly stated 14 days. "That's nothing to do with us I'm afraid, you'll have to contact On Digital and get them to give you a refund" he said. So back home I went, phoned On Digital and explained to them the predicament. "Its nothing to do with us. It's the shop who are responsible for the refund. Take it back and explain this to them, and if they have any problems with it tell them to ring us." So back I went. "Like I told you before," said the shop manager, "its nothing to do with us, and no I will not ring them, as it is nothing to do with us." Back home I went fuming and phoned On Digital, asking... The birth of Enterprise
Review of Sky 1: Star Trek - Enterprise by  annette_tr9

Advantages: Another great trek
Disadvantages: none

...The fifth generation of Star Trek, don’t we ever get bored of it?? Well obviously the answer is no, never, well it’s Star Trek isn’t it, who would ever get bored of Star Trek! Before Enterprise started I was a huge Voyager fan and was really annoyed when it was finished. I therefore grudgingly started watching Enterprise thinking it would never be able to get anywhere near as good as Voyager and it would be a waste of time. How wrong can you get. I have watched up to episode 16 now and am addicted. It takes you a couple of episodes to get to know all of the characters. The first episode does a great job of introducing them all. It’s done gradually as well, they are not just all shoved under your nose and you are expected to remember them. So who do we have then, well Captain Jonathan Archer is played... Read review
