Can Langdon find the Lost Symbol?

...The Lost Symbol is the latest offering from Dan Brown featuring Harvard Symbologist Robert Langdon and like all avid readers of his work I was looking forward to reading the book. At 6am on a Sunday morning Robert Langdon receives a message from his mentor and friend, prominent 33rd Degree Mason Peter Solomon, to conduct a lecture in Washington?s Capitol Building and not wanting to let his friend down Langdon agrees to go and sets off for the airport where Peter?s private jet is waiting for him. However on arrival at the Rotunda area within the Capitol Building, something strikes Langdon as odd, there is nobody waiting there for the lecture. The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown- Ancient Mysteries

Advantages: A good read
Disadvantages: Part of the plot is not too convicing

.... Personally, it gives me a good reflection for my faith. And finally, even though there are a few issues with the book, overall it is still a good read. For those who are new to Dan Brown, I would not recommend to read it straight away as it may end up being different from your expectation. Reading other of his books will get you used to his style of writing. Then you can proceed with the Lost Symbol, which I think is slightly different to his other works....

A great set of rollers!

Advantages: shiny, full of volume curls!
Disadvantages: Still time consuming!

...I used these a few weeks ago at my friend's house and I was really impressed! When I go out to a wedding or a big occasion I like to spend some time getting ready and making my hair look nice. I have tried using curling tongs and GHDs to curl my hair but i'm always getting it uneven or burning myself or I get half way throguh and decide i'm fed up!! I went to my friend's house and used her roller set and I was really impressed with them! They heated up very quickly and were really easy to use. The box contains 20 rollers which are ceramic. They are in 3 different sizes which is dfferent to what I've used before as they only had two sizes. As clunky as a tap-dancing Frankenstein with new shoes..

Advantages: You read it quick
Disadvantages: Over hyped

...book one would be it would sell very well, some 80 million copies pre ordered world-wide so far, and the other is it would be written as a film script and even more in caricature than the previous Langdon books, insuring the movie rites early. The first line in the book is: 'Since the beginning of time...'. Browns prose is still reassuringly as clunky as Frankenstein's tap dancing. So huge were the DaVinci Code sales that publishers Bantam Press could make or break book shops by the speed they get 'The Lost Symbol' out. The fever pitch excitement meant a resulting price war which meant you could pick up the hard back for half-price at pretty much any good big book sellers, as did I, meaning someone is likely to go bust if they didn't hit their sales targets. My First Scalextric Set

My First Scalextric Set Having seen the Ad on TV and Boy really desparate for one I thought this the best to go for in the way of remote control race track as at 4 he's really not old enough for a big expensive set so he got this for Christmas. Cost us £30 from Toys'r'Us though can be found in many other stores and on-line, the price is about the same everywhere but you may find it a bit cheaper. Age on box states not suitable for under 3 years, due to small parts and functional sharp edges - we haven't found any particularly sharp bits yet ? so unsure which bits that refers to. Also tells you that new controllers may become warm and emit vapour and give off slight smell -this is normal and disappears after use. Nice ! Our first Race.. Brown hasn't lost it

Advantages: Great story, flows nicely, good characters
Disadvantages: Keeps you up all night

...counterpart for a change. The only thing I didn't like, and it's just a small thing; was that there was a map part way through the book showing the layout of the Capitol building. It looked totally out of place and more text book like than novel. As with the other novels there are other parts of the book where it deviates from plain text, and has symbols and items that need deciphering, but these are necessary and it would be impossible for Dan Brown to describe them without adding a dozen more pages to the book. But the map adds absolutely nothing because stopping to look at it breaks up the flow of the story, then after I found the area on the map that they were stood in I was still in the same situation I'd been before, Dan Brown had described the area as much as I needed him too, I didn't need to see a blueprint style map. Wonderful Literary Chick Flick Trilogy Box Set

Advantages: Well acted, Great Book Adaptation Storylines, Fun for All Ages
Disadvantages: Each Movie is About Three Hours Long

...be ignored by the overall storyline. I was slightly disapointed by this third story since it really didn't go by the books my L.M Montgomery at all. The first two movies are at least based on her books , but this movie was almost entirely made up. I was hoping the third movie would follow the other books about Anne as she is grown up with Children. Still, the movie was well made and entertaining. It was good to see the actors again, and the costumes anad attention to detail from the World War I era are fantastic. .... They incorporate into the programmes counting and colours, it does a spring and autumn watch, there is a programme on the channel that looks at special children and teaches sign language. The channel is very good all round entertainment for youngsters. The DVD is called Get Set Go, which is the name of the breakfast part of the channel. It is presented by Sid and Andy and is on from 6 am until 9.00 am every morning. This part is very upbeat to get young children set up for the day. Dead Set - Main Feature Only

Advantages: Brilliantly written, tense, funny and full of seriously OTT gore.
Disadvantages: The "Big Brother is the devil" thing is all a wee bit silly.
