Da SyncMaster 753 DFleX YO!
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 753 DFX by
oblivious0r
Advantages: Great Picture Quality and Great Value
Disadvantages: Heavy, Large Backend, 1280 Max Res
...'s Samsung TFT monitor I feel the picture is more crystal clear while his monitor is more colourful and detailed in some respects. I have my computer near the window and in the past the sun has tended to have a glare effect on my old monitor which really annoyed me when I was doing school work. This monitor has anti glare which means any sunlight won't reflect on it which is very nice as I can have the monitor facing the sun.
When you first plug the monitor in there is no need in installing anything though there are CD's given to you which are drivers and some tool that increases quality of the colours but I don't use them because I lost the CD's. Your computer will instantly recognise the monitor as the SyncMaster 753. The size of the monitor is 17" (16" viewable) which means that the picture will be large and when I first got my monitor I...

Samsung SyncMaster 151S
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 151 S by
miss_d_bus
Advantages: low user of electricity, small, light to carry
Disadvantages: rotating monitor software doesnt work on XP
...The Samsung SyncMaster 151s is a TFT LCD monitor. It is 15-inches. The way TFTs are measured are different than the conventional CRT monitors so this makes it similar to a 17" CRT monitor. The monitor accepts analog RGB video signals.
Picture quality:
The picture os very bright. and very good quality. I have had this monitor for a few years now and it was then £360. At the time it was voted by the main PC magazines as being both the cheapest and highest quality on the market. I sometimes think the picture is a little fussy but I am not sure if its my terrible eyesight and me needing to go to bed or if it is the monitor.
Resolution
The monitor's native resolution is 1024 x 768 but it will work at 800 x 600 if preferred. Compared to CRTs of the same size, its resolution is a bit small but thats how TFTs...

Samsung SyncMaster 193V - Cool monitor.
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 193P by
derek-j-a
Advantages: Light to move about my desk, Very easy on the eye, uses less power and runs cooler.
Disadvantages: At first text is not quite so sharp as on CRT monitor, but I hardly notice this now.
...For months I yearned after one of those stylish LCD monitors, but wanting a nice big 19 inch model which tended to be more expensive, I have been waiting for the price to come down.
Looking around the computer stores, it soon became obvious to me that the ones with the best quality seemed to be the Samsung and after visiting a relative and seeing that he actually had a Samsung, I was sold on this particular make.
It wasn't long before I was unpacking the box of my new Samsung SyncMaster 193V and what a joy it was to lift it onto my desk without straining a muscle and now I had more room to put my clutter! Actually that's not quite true because with the stylish product on my desk and the extra room in front of it, I felt strongly inspired to clean up my space.
When I did my research into TFT monitors, I discovered...

Expected CRT quality
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 753 S by
adehh
Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, good quality
Disadvantages: It's a CRT!
.... The monitor actually came with a floppy disk containing the drivers but I've not had a floppy drive on my computer for a few years now. I don't believe the monitor includes Macintosh drivers however.
I kept the quick installation guide for the monitor but I haven't kept much else, the guide seems of a good standard and offers driver installation instructions and diagrams for both Macintosh and PC installation. The guide is presented in around 14 different languages.
After reading the guide I can vaguely remember when I installed the monitor, the stand wasn't pre-attached to the monitor and had to be done manually although I cannot recall any problems achieving this.
I'm guessing not many are interested in this review but for those who are and on the lookout for a new CRT monitor, if you can find this or perhaps another in the SyncMaster...

CRT: Crumbly, Redundant, & Tired (Monitor-Speak)
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 191 T by
molelover
Advantages: all the benefits of LCD, good quality, excellent resolution, size and display, great viewing angles
Disadvantages: nothing worth noting
.... What is described as a 19" screen actually has a 19" viewing area, something that didn't always apply with the old CRT screens.
* And maybe the best advantage of all, LCD screens cause a lot less eye-strain. This screen doesn't flicker. There is less glare. I've actually noticed a marked drop in the amount of headaches I get at work, and that's got nothing to do with having a less stressful working environment.
Which shiny new monitor to choose? I chose a Samsung SyncMaster 191T, (and then got my employers to pay for it). I like Samsung: I think they produce good quality equipment and I trust their brand. The SyncMaster 191T has a thin silver bezel (the bit that surrounds the screen) and a black base. I never actually thought I could be attracted to a monitor, but I was wrong: this fellow is quite smart, almost futuristic...

Samsung SyncMaster 753DF
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 753 DF by
A.Smith
Advantages: Clear and bright screen, completely flat
Disadvantages: Could be larger, quite large tube
...monitors previously which are a little "out of focus" but the SyncMaster 753 produces a very clear and sharp image.
The menu on this monitor is very easy to use, in the past I've sat at the computer for ages trying to work out how to change the size of the picture, switching through loads of menus just to change the size of the screen, the SyncMaster 753 however I find the menu very easy to use; on the front of the monitor there are 4 buttons, one to go to the menu and select things, one to exit from the menu and 2 left/right change selection buttons to go to the option you require. There are no wheels underneath the monitor to change the brightness/contrast, this is changed from the menu, this could be a disadvantage to some users who are used to changing the brightness/contrast by rotating a wheel underneath the monitor.
The SyncMaster...

Sync Your Teeth Into This Master Monitor
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 710 TM by
anonymili
Advantages: Excellent response time and clear screen
Disadvantages: Somewhat costly at well over £300
...was hard pushed finding a current price for it anywhere else.
RECOMMENDED?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you're able to spend that amount of money on one and if you're into gaming and need a fast response time, I would definitely recommend this as a monitor to buy. If you don't need such a fast response time and/or feel it's a bit too costly for your budget, there's always the lower spec models in the SyncMaster range you can go for. I've got the SyncMaster 713BM at home which came as part of my PC package at PC World a few months ago which retails at around the £200 mark.
All in all the Samsung Syncmaster 710TM gets a big thumbs up for usability and a slight thumbs down for cost.
NB: for "Mantufacturer Support" and "Instruction manual" ratings I've stated "Satisfactory" as I've had no call to use them in over a year....
Samsung SyncMaster 913n very good value
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 913N by
nickward1
Advantages: Excellent quality, response time, resolution and styling
Disadvantages: n/a
...I bought my Samsung SyncMaster 913N LCD monitor about 9 months ago for around £200 (absolute bargain!) and since then I have had no problems with it at all and the screen has developed no dead pixels.
I am currently studying a multimedia degree at university and have had to create a lot of 3d models on the computer and my old Dell 14" monitor was just too small and supported a very low screen resolution. The 19" visible screen on this monitor is huge and is very bright and has excellent 700:1 contrast ratio. The supported screen resolution is also good and allows you too see so much more while using popular 3d modelling software.
I also play some computer games and personally found no problems with ghosting due to the very fast 8ms response time.
The ease of use on this monitor is very good all I had to do was plug it in and run...
Samsung SyncMaster, Amazing!
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 171 N by
rally1998
Advantages: 17" Slim Bezel, Modern Looking, Fantastic Quality, No Dead Picxels
Disadvantages: are there any?
...The Samsun SyncMaster 171N is an amazing 17" Flatscreen TFT monitor.
I have this black version and have done for the past two years. It has not ever let me down and is yet to have a coloured or dead pixel. Mine came with 3year Samsung warranty, which I believe they all do.
Resolution: 1280x1024, Brightness: 250cd/m2, Contrast Ratio: 350:1, Inputs: Analogue, Viewing Angle: 140/120 degrees, Response Time: 0.25ms, Colours Supported:16.2m, Dimensions: 367x369x190, Weight: 5.1kg,
With fantastic specifications and now cheap in price it really wouldn't be hard to choose this fantastic monitor. I have had many other monitors made by sony, phillips, LG, Ag Neovo and well....this is by far the best I have ever seen! Fantastic clarity and brightness with a good 25ms response time, it's good for watching fast moving images, DVDs, Games...
Samsung SyncMaster 245B
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 245B by
Gooders5
Advantages: Superb vivid colours and quality and great value
Disadvantages: None
...Previously had an LG 19" Widescreen TFT and decided to upgrade to a Samsung SyncMaster 245B. Its native resolution of 1920x1200 is fantastic and the colours are so vivid. Playing gamers on it has never been so much fun, you can see so much and the screen is nice to look at. Its not as expensive as the Dell widescreens and in my opinion the screen is just as good, came packed with all necessary cables and 3 year standard manufacturer warranty. The TFT has a standard refresh rate of 60hz at max resolution but thats an average for a TFT and doesnt effect it really. If your looking for a gaming/media experience in the home and want a superb TFT to look at for visual quality this wont dissapoint you. Its great value for money and made by a reputable brand. Mine came in solid black polished finished and has a very modern look. Connections...
