Samsung SyncMaster 740N
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 740N by  Ajish

Advantages: Stylish design,Needs less space,High quality image, low power consumption,Relatively inexpensive
Disadvantages: The only disadvantage is that it looks dim when looking from the end side.

...I bought samsung syncmaster one year ago and from my point of view this 17"monitor is really good. And the most unique feature is that its sleek and smooth designing tempts anyone. It requires minimum space. It even supports fast moving games and also movies very well.It is relatively inexpensive compared to other LCD monitors. It does not produce too much radiation and hence less eye strain. The wide viewing angle(160 degree) of this monitor really works when there is someone else standing beside you.It comprises of magictune(optimizes the monitor setting),magicbright II(supports text,Internet,Movie,Spots,Game,Custom) and magiccolour(reproduces rich and vivid image). The built in power supply is another feature. So why wait with these great features samsung740N is an excellent LCD monitor for working as well as for games and movies.... Samsung Syncmaster 2032MW
Review of Samsung Syncmaster 2032MW by  fallenakira

Advantages: Large Resolution, Crisp Display
Disadvantages: Average response times

...The Syncmaster 2032MW TFT screen was specially designed by Samsung for gamers and graphic designers. With a 1000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a 20" 16:10 screen, the Syncmaster 2032MW has exceptional image quality and bright colours. The rich quality and crispness of the Samsung Syncmaster 2032MW is amazing, with response times as low as 5 ms, 16.2 million colours and a max resolution of 1680 x 1050 this monitor is perfect for all things computing. From gaming to watching real time TV. (Whats more, the Samsung Syncmaster 2032MW also includes a built in TV-Tuner) The SyncMaster Uses both RVB and DVI inputs and has a max power consumption of 45 Watts. The Samsung Syncmaster 2032MW isn't the best monitor on the Samsung Syncmaster line but its value money is better than most monitors with its large resolution it beats its... Read review

Samsung SyncMaster 753DF
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 753 DF by  A.Smith

Advantages: Clear and bright screen, completely flat
Disadvantages: Could be larger, quite large tube

...I've been using this monitor for a couple of years now, I decided on Samsung as I bought a 15" Samsung Syncmaster monitor in 1995 and I still use it as a test monitor to this day, 10 years of use and still flawless, the reason I went for another Samsung. I've always been a fan of Samsung as I have never purchased a poor Samsung product. The Syncmaster 753DF is a 17" monitor of which around 16" is actually viewable. The actual screen is completely flat as opposed to the curved screens and I mean completely flat, you could put a spirit level across it and it would show you how flat the glass really is, I'm not sure what effect this is meant to have on the user but I prefer it to the standard curved screen. The glass on the monitor has an anti-reflective coating and surprisingly this does actually work; on a bright day you can still see... Read review

Samsung Syncmaster 710MP
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 710 MP by  express1

Advantages: Slim construction
Disadvantages: Was't very impressed with UHF picture

...I was offered a used model by a friend. It certainly looks the business & is very smart, when sat on the desktop. If you have a nice machine and it's good, you like to tell everyone else it's good too. Don't you? Well I love this monitor, if you want all the techy stuff look at the spec sheet! I'm just going to tell you what it's like for the average punter to use. The Syncmaster 710 MP is easy to use, is excellent when connected to your PC, has integral speakers , which won't blow your brains out, but make adequate noise to tell you what's happening. I personally prefer to use it as a monitor for my PC. The Syncmaster gives good picture & sound, when connected to Sky via a SCART cable, but using a simple stand alone UHF indoor aerial , means picture & sound quality suffer a bit. This machine is quite a handful... Read review

SAMSUNG SYNCMASTER 720N MONITOR - TOP NOTCH
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 720N by  traveller10

Advantages: Size & quality
Disadvantages: None that I could see

...was perfect for me, but obviously colour is purely a personal choice thing. I do think that the colour and design make it quite futuristic looking. The SyncMaster 720n comes with VGA Input. This is a standard video format and really does provide excellent image quality. Its a pretty time-tested and reliable format. Response Time is 8ms which I must say is super. What this means is how long it takes (in milliseconds) an LCD screen to go from gray-to-gray. This is a very important point in viewing moving images (for example movies or games). Basically the lower the response time the better the viewing experience. Another great point going for this monitor is the MagicTune (yes I did have to ask what this was !!!!) Basically this controls all the monitor settings. Because MagicTune uses an advanced display technology, called the DDC/CI (Display... Read review

Samsung SyncMaster 245B
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 245B by  Gooders5

Advantages: Superb vivid colours and quality and great value
Disadvantages: None

...Previously had an LG 19" Widescreen TFT and decided to upgrade to a Samsung SyncMaster 245B. Its native resolution of 1920x1200 is fantastic and the colours are so vivid. Playing gamers on it has never been so much fun, you can see so much and the screen is nice to look at. Its not as expensive as the Dell widescreens and in my opinion the screen is just as good, came packed with all necessary cables and 3 year standard manufacturer warranty. The TFT has a standard refresh rate of 60hz at max resolution but thats an average for a TFT and doesnt effect it really. If your looking for a gaming/media experience in the home and want a superb TFT to look at for visual quality this wont dissapoint you. Its great value for money and made by a reputable brand. Mine came in solid black polished finished and has a very modern look. Connections... Read review

Samsung SyncMaster 913n very good value
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 913N by  nickward1

Advantages: Excellent quality, response time, resolution and styling
Disadvantages: n/a

...I bought my Samsung SyncMaster 913N LCD monitor about 9 months ago for around £200 (absolute bargain!) and since then I have had no problems with it at all and the screen has developed no dead pixels. I am currently studying a multimedia degree at university and have had to create a lot of 3d models on the computer and my old Dell 14" monitor was just too small and supported a very low screen resolution. The 19" visible screen on this monitor is huge and is very bright and has excellent 700:1 contrast ratio. The supported screen resolution is also good and allows you too see so much more while using popular 3d modelling software. I also play some computer games and personally found no problems with ghosting due to the very fast 8ms response time. The ease of use on this monitor is very good all I had to do was plug it in and run... Read review

Samsung SyncMaster 151S
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 151 S by  miss_d_bus

Advantages: low user of electricity, small, light to carry
Disadvantages: rotating monitor software doesnt work on XP

...The Samsung SyncMaster 151s is a TFT LCD monitor. It is 15-inches. The way TFTs are measured are different than the conventional CRT monitors so this makes it similar to a 17" CRT monitor. The monitor accepts analog RGB video signals. Picture quality: The picture os very bright. and very good quality. I have had this monitor for a few years now and it was then £360. At the time it was voted by the main PC magazines as being both the cheapest and highest quality on the market. I sometimes think the picture is a little fussy but I am not sure if its my terrible eyesight and me needing to go to bed or if it is the monitor. Resolution The monitor's native resolution is 1024 x 768 but it will work at 800 x 600 if preferred. Compared to CRTs of the same size, its resolution is a bit small but thats how TFTs... Da SyncMaster 753 DFleX YO!
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 753 DFX by  oblivious0r

Advantages: Great Picture Quality and Great Value
Disadvantages: Heavy, Large Backend, 1280 Max Res

...'s Samsung TFT monitor I feel the picture is more crystal clear while his monitor is more colourful and detailed in some respects. I have my computer near the window and in the past the sun has tended to have a glare effect on my old monitor which really annoyed me when I was doing school work. This monitor has anti glare which means any sunlight won't reflect on it which is very nice as I can have the monitor facing the sun. When you first plug the monitor in there is no need in installing anything though there are CD's given to you which are drivers and some tool that increases quality of the colours but I don't use them because I lost the CD's. Your computer will instantly recognise the monitor as the SyncMaster 753. The size of the monitor is 17" (16" viewable) which means that the picture will be large and when I first got my monitor I... Samsung SyncMaster 193V - Cool monitor.
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 193P by  derek-j-a

Advantages: Light to move about my desk, Very easy on the eye, uses less power and runs cooler.
Disadvantages: At first text is not quite so sharp as on CRT monitor, but I hardly notice this now.

...For months I yearned after one of those stylish LCD monitors, but wanting a nice big 19 inch model which tended to be more expensive, I have been waiting for the price to come down. Looking around the computer stores, it soon became obvious to me that the ones with the best quality seemed to be the Samsung and after visiting a relative and seeing that he actually had a Samsung, I was sold on this particular make. It wasn't long before I was unpacking the box of my new Samsung SyncMaster 193V and what a joy it was to lift it onto my desk without straining a muscle and now I had more room to put my clutter! Actually that's not quite true because with the stylish product on my desk and the extra room in front of it, I felt strongly inspired to clean up my space. When I did my research into TFT monitors, I discovered... Read review
