White Lightning Original Lubricant
Review of White Lightning Original Lubricant by  helix1250

Advantages: Easy to apply and doesn't attract Dirt
Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive than others

...be applied while the bike is warm and don't lubricate well in cold weather. This makes them terrific for off-road riding in warm weather, but a poor choice for cold weather use. Finally, there are more exotic lubricants, also based on either petroleum or wax, but with added ingredients such as teflon, graphite and/or chemicals that manufacturers claim bond to metal and protect it. These claims are questionable, performance varies and some of these lubes are relatively expensive, but the aim is to create a lubricant that defies the basic properties of whatever it's based on (oil or wax). To the best of my knowledge, nobody has found that elusive super-lube yet, but some of these concoctions seem to work better under particular conditions than others. Now that you have a better understanding of bicycle lubricants, here is the review... Read review

Wet Lubricants - Weekend Love Kit
Review of Wet Lubricant by  ickleycat

Advantages: Excellent Quality Products Which Last A Long Time - Wide Variety Too!
Disadvantages: Might Find Embarrassing To Purchase Over The Counter

....7oz bottle of "Wet Warming Lubricant" which gently warms on contact 1x 3.5oz bottle of "Wet Light Liquid Lubricant" which is gentle and contains Aloe Vera and Vitamin E 1x 3.1oz bottle of "Wet Platinum Premium Body Glide" which is long lasting, silicone based and never dries out 1x 3.5oz bottle of "Kiwi Strawberry Wet Flavoured Lubricant" which has a discreet but pleasant flavour Wet Warming Lubricant: This came in a red bottle. Pretty much use as much as you like with this one, you only need a small amount but you might want to spread it over a wider area as it is quite a nice sensation, so it's up to you! It gently warms on contact and steadily gets a bit warmer with friction, but it's not unpleasant at all. I definately reccommend this one! Wet Light Liquid Lubricant: This came in a blue bottle. A blob about the size... Read review

Advantages: Easy to use squeezy bottle and works great
Disadvantages: It might be a little pricey, so shop around

Finishline Wet Lubricant

Advantages: Doesn't wash off in wet conditions
Disadvantages: Does attract dirt and mud

Something For Lubrication, Sir?
Review of WD-40 Lubrication Spray by  fclayson

Advantages: versatile, essential for everyday use, lifesaver, cheap
Disadvantages: inflammable, won't get rid of the MK concrete cows

...for this versatile tool! Warning: this fluid is highly inflammable, as i found to my cost when i used it to clean a soldered joing on my gas fire. Use with caution. Other than that, a necessary addition to any home/boat/garage/boudoir. Use freely, and remember: little squirts can do the business... Cost about £1.50 for a small can, or £3.50 for larger size (400ml). A small can goes a long way, but this item is one that should be at the top of your shopping list. So there you are, Squigs. WD40, in all it's glory. You want lubricated, you got it. And strangely, it smells nice too. Made in Milton Keynes, a top-notch British product...... Read review

Jingle Away with Jo Jingles
Review of Jo Jingles by  Groovee

Advantages: Child gains lots of development thru the music and concentration and instruments
Disadvantages: Classes can get busy and may be too expensive

...if Jo is in your area. Jo Jingles is a franchaise and works in the area's where the Franchaises have been bought and then opened. The local franchaises have all the e-mail's or contact details for the person who runs them in that area. Our local one had some places left and I had to pay £26.50 up for a half term. This means that I could try it out with my son and see how he likes it. We went along the first morning. Got a bit lost and nearly ended up in the wrong place!! There was a different lady from the one whom I had spoken to and she was taking over a couple of the classes to ease the pressure on the main lady. We all sat on the floor and We started with the Good morning song and jo came round. Then we sang a couple of songs to get us warmed up. Then the children got introduced to the instruments. So far we have had... Read review

Damita Jo by Janet Jackson - A Review
Review of Damita Jo (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Janet Jackson by  MacattacKMidsUK

Advantages: It's got the first single on it
Disadvantages: It's too samey, interludes spoil instead of help

...I'm listening to it now. I'm going to try and review whilst on a first listen. Be gentle with me as it's my first music review! I am expecting something as good Rhythm Nation 1814 but I'll more than likely get something like Velvet Rope. Let's see... The way Janet's albums are stuck together is generally about 14 songs with little sound bites or studio 'bloopers' and every track normally blends into each other giving you about 70 minutes of non-stop music. This one is no exception. Opening with... 1 - Looking For Love 1:29 ...which is a narrative set to some peaceful music with a pulsing tone fading in periodically. You have the lady herself on about the creativity and energy in all of us and that we're all looking for love. Nice. It's a half decent warm up for... 2 - Damita Jo 2:45 ...the title track which breaks down... Read review

warm and sticky down my leg
Review of Immac Warm Wax AquaSystem by  Anfield

Advantages: dot to dot is easy with this
Disadvantages: the mess, hairs are still there and money is gone

...I had seen the ads, I had seen the hairs on my legs, I had the money, I was willing to try some pain for gain,if it was less than the epilator..... I was SO wrong. Once at home, clutching this wonder product, I hid in the bathroom and started to get to the point, assuming that once £9.50 is spent I would get great reults. Once you get through the outer wrapping, and open the box, you are confronted with 1 warm applicator (roll-on method),2x50ml cannisters of wax, 10 fabric strips and the instructons: a very lengthly piece of paper with writing on both sides and some demostrative pictures. Here they tell you all the do's and dont's, and the hows and whys. Once through all that, I ran the tap to just under unbearably hot (as they tell you), filled the canister thingy, slotted the wax bottle in and leant it upside down... Read review

Sea level rise - scaremongering or reality?
Review of Is global warming an urgent danger? by  Mayrad

Advantages: New natural habitats will be created.
Disadvantages: A very high percentage of people live in coastal settlements.

...atmospheric warming is greater than is generally predicted by GCMs for the next century, and so this is more likely to be a long term response” (Vaughan and Spouge, 2002). Therefore, according to this mechanism sea level rise resulting from ice sheet collapse could be regarded as scaremongering in the short term. A third example of a possible unstable mechanism is the ‘binge-purge’ theory proposed by MacAyeal (1992). The theory states that for a few thousand years the WAIS may be quiescent (no ice streams) allowing its thickness to increase forming a dome. This increases the pressure melting point at the base of the ice sheet, creating subglacial meltwater and a lubricating basal layer of till that allowS ice streams to form. These rapidly reduce the scale of the WAIS (and the Antarctic ice sheet as a whole) in a ‘purge’ phase, therefore... Read review

The High Road - JoJo
Review of High Road, The - JoJo by  Natanna

Advantages: Some really fab songs!
Disadvantages: None really

...It is hard to believe that American singer, JoJo (Joanna Levesque) is only 16 years old, her voice is very mature for her age; her music is also very grown up. She has a r'n'b and pop sound, this 2nd album from JoJo is full of catchy r'n'b tunes and some strong ballads which really show off her voice. The Way You Do Me - I wasn't too keen on this song at first, but after a few plays it was stuck in my head. It reminds me of 'Crazy In Love' by Beyonce. It has a very r'n'b beat to it and it makes you want to get up and dance. Anything - This is the second single to be taken from the album. The song starts of with a short sample of 'Africa' by Toto. The song itself is very catchy, I can definitely see why it is a single. This Time - Not one of the best songs on the album, but it has a catchy beat to it, another song... Read review
