...Tom Tom 520T I am pleased with the ease of use and find setting up an itinerary a useful feature giving you more control of the route taken. The clarity of instructions, particularly when reading street names, is excellent. It is also useful to be able to add locations, as a friend lives in a relatively new housing development which was not listed. However the "Points of Interest" feature is extremely limited. I live in the West Midlands, close to Dudley and despite having a zoo at Dudley the POI tells me the nearest zoo is at Chester 61miles away. Similarly, if I ask it for the nearest swimming pool I am directed to The Grand Hotel in Dublin 182miles away. The nearest library is given as 90miles away and the nearest police, dentist, doctor and pharmacy are all 175 miles away in Ireland. These are just a few examples of Tom Tom 520T...

Creda T520VW tumble dryer

Advantages: Easy to use, looks good, wont break the bank

...The T520 VW is a great tumble dryer. It is incredibly easy to use, with only one button and one "clock like" dial. The single button is used to select low or high heat.....and the rotating "clock like" dial to select the time desired for drying. ( Time goes from 0 to 120 mins). It is quiet, and has a reasonably large capacity and also boasts an "anti-tangle"claim. The white plastic fascia near the top of the dryer that houses the button and dial hasn't appeared to have discoloured over time....(unlike our washing machine which we've had for the same amount of time), and with the word "simplicity" embellished next to the creda logo, it really does sum up this item for itself. Simple to use, reasonably modern looking, won't discolour, and would easily fit into anyones kitchen or utility room or anywhere around the house for that matter...

In my line of work it is essential that I arrive at various locations throughout the country, and as well as instant point of interest access i also require the ability to pre-plan all of my journeys. This device can supply all of my needs and many more. The larger screen makes the typing in of locations and settings much easier than previous models. And the flexibility to practically design your own screen layout with the information you require on a daily basis makes using the Tom Tom Go520 so much easier. ...The TomTom Go 520 has a good size screen and is very easy to use. Its packed with features and my favourite is the bluetooth connection to your mobile, even allowing the extraction of numbers contained within your phone book (its handy to note you can duplicate your phone book onto the TomTom, meaning a back up of your phone contacts). When making a call the sound quality is pretty good. The navigation is easy to use and I have had no problem with GPS signal (unlike my previous sat nav). It identifies safety cameras and also alerts you if you are breaking the speed limit, however this feature is also the only drawback I have found. Occasionally it will get the speed limit you are in wrong (the other day I was on a dual carriage and it instead the speed limit was 30m.p.h.). It comes with an RDS reciever for traffic alerts, although...

1991 E34 520i

Advantages: Well built. Lasts well Great 6 cyl engine. Classic design.
Disadvantages: Suspension wear. Suspension noise from rear. Economy & insurance

...Have owned it for 5 years. It is 15 years old now. Got through it's National Car Test the other day, apart from some rear bulbs that had gone. The 5 series has pretty much set the standard for executive cars since the late 80's. Though I'm sure Mercedes are trying hard with their E class. I've been very pleased with mine overall. I'll definitely buy another BMW. The car, despite it's advanced age, still does everything well. They are built to last. Engine is still perfect after 144,000 miles. Insurance has been expensive but that's a complaint shared by most Irish motorists (am 35, clean license & no incidents). The 6 cylinder engine is wonderfully smooth and sounds great. I'm not into speed, but it has 150bhp. 4 valves a cylinder. Fuel economy is not good, but I don't drive around town much. The car is heavy at 1500 kg. I'm sure...

Disadvantages: 5 character post code search; windscreen reflection

...aerial for those with athermic windscreens. - There is no protective mechanism for the touch screen. Some third party companies offer covers which allow some protection and these would be a good addtion to the standard Navman box. - The screen reflects quite badly in the windscreen of my Accord due to the steep angle of the windscreen. A shield for the top of the mount would solve this and it clearly shows they have not tested the units in too many cars. A night this can be quite distracting. - Does not have 7 character postcodes. - Cannot cope with house names rather than numbers so no good to find 'The Glebe'. - The direciton button mechanism is fiddly and easy to mispress.
