...I recently upgraded to my new LG KM900 Arena from my current LG KF600 Venus after a bit of an argument with my (now) former provider. I got a great deal from Orange so I'm now the proud owner of the Arena. It's a candybar phone with a completely touch screen interface. I was a bit wary about not having a keypad but this phone is very responsive and I haven't had any trouble so far. My phone has a screen protector on it so it doesn't get scratched and this hasn't affected the way the phone responds to touch. It has the unique 'S-class' interface which has four different screens - the widget screen which is completely customizable, the contacts screen which displays your favourite contacts, the shortcut screen which is again customizable to your own choice and the multimedia screen which displays your favourite tracks...

...screens and almost no buttons there is no surface which doesn't result in some type of response from the phone, every surface is very, very sensitive, so while drawing my shape to launch the browser I would launch the contact list, dial a number or scroll a few random icons before the browser finally opened. When I did finally get the browser to open, I was actually quite impressed, due largely to the built in Wi-Fi and 7.2Mbps HSDPA, browsing over 3G allows the GD900 to do an excellent job of rendering even very complex pages. I mentioned the GD900's pinch function earlier, and while it works, it is no where near a slick as seen on HTC's Hero or the iPhone 3GS, as it tends to be a little sluggish while using the Crystal's browser. In the past with previous phones, when I've had to delete parts of a txt I would simply either tap the 'C' button quickly to delete a word, or, to delete a few words I'd hold down the 'C' button, whereby whole words were deleted at a gradually increasing rate. Unfortunately with the E900, the touch-sensitive buttons aren't responsive enough to be used in such a quick repetitive manner, and simply holding the 'C' button will delete the entire txt. Actually writing a text is easy enough though because the number keys you use to type the text are normal push buttons. Apart from the use of the 'C' button with text messaging, the touch sensitive buttons work reasonably well. They lock while you're speaking to someone so that your face doesn't accidentally terminate...

It's sleek and stylish and packed with many features which I'm still discovering nearly 3 months on. The design itself is very nice, and it's easy to handle.
