Review of Humax PVR-9300T

Best PVR Out There

Advantages: Easy to set up and use, picture quality, storage space
Disadvantages: None that I can think of other than being expensive

...problem is that i you set a buffer for say 1 minute either side of a scheduled recording the series record function will not work properly. This is a bit annoying but in practice it hasn't cased any real problems in my experience. The hard drive is huge - more space than I could ever need! All in all, a great PVR....

Nokia 9300 review

All of the exterior buttons and controls worked quite well, and the overall build quality and finish of the device seem to be top notch. Apart from the front panel, there are no volume control or other buttons on the exterior of the 9300, though there is an IR port on the side of the bottom the phone. There is no camera in the 9300, unlike with the 9500, so there is little to the back other than the battery cover, which can be a bit of a pain to remove, and two rubber feet. Nokia 9300i: The highly functional house brick.

Advantages: Functions, Qwerty keyboard, Syncs with ACT, PDA+Phone=9300i

...typing speed on it, given its size. Sure, its faster that a conventional keypad, but you cant expect much. I bought a bluetooth keyboard with it, which to my surprise didnt work. It worked with the N70, but not with the 9300i. I don't know whether it was that particular brand of keyboard that the 9300i doesnt work with, or whether it just plain doesnt work with keyboards. Okay so connectivity, its got bluetooth, and i believe infrared. Both of which are good, and tend to pick up any bluetooth device within quite a wide range. You can do all the usual pairing with sat navs and car phones. Its got a built in modem, which means you can connect your laptop to it, and recieve internet through it. Its got all the usual, video playback, polyphonic & real tones, voice dialing aswell, its even got a few games, which have excellent graphics...

The battery life of the machine is good, and it does not take an awfully long time for it to charge. Advantages: cheaper to buy 4 but can also buy singly

To use you just pull off the yellow strip and just drop it into your printer. It really is as simple as that. Instructions do say to shake the ink cartridge 4 or 5 times before putting it in but I have forgotten to do that and panic stations, but it made absolutely no difference that I could see but perhaps I was just lucky. These cartridges cannot be refilled and I have not yet seen any recycling place that it happy to receive them - probably just because they cannot be refilled. How long do they last?
