A GEL FOR ALL SEASONS
Review of Wella Shock Waves Ultra Strong Max Hold Gel by
Badger_Boy
Advantages: Exellent long lasting hold, cheap to buy
Disadvantages: White residue in hair after use, makes hair feel crispy
...Today’s product under the microscope is Shock Waves Ultra Strong Max Hold Gel.
This product was purchased from Tesco’s for £2.19. As it is a Shock Waves product it is widely available and can be found in all major supermarkets, chemists and good convenience stores nationwide.
The gel is contained within the standard Shock Waves tube, so basically it is light blue in colour, stands approx. 14cm high and has the Shock Waves logo clearly printed up the side in white, blue and pink. The tube contains 150ml of the clear gel. The packaging provides the same promises as all other Wella styling products which are that the gel has a special micro-defuse system that separates individual strands leading to a firmer, longer lasting hold with the added advantage of easier styling. In addition to this, the gel should (in theory) brush out when...

LACOSTE INSPIRATION SHOWER GEL
Review of Lacoste Inspiration Shower Gel by
just.bcoz
Advantages: smells great, lathers well, softens, moisturises and fragrances your skin
Disadvantages: some people may dislike the fragrance and find it too expensive
...Lacoste Inspiration is a perfume which was launched approximately three years or so ago; as well as the Lacoste Inspiration perfume you can also purchase Lacoste Inspiration shower gel and body lotion as well which help to layer and compliment the scent of the perfume. Lacoste Inspiration is quite a light fresh and airy smelling perfume and some people may find that the scent of the perfume doesn't last long on their skin, especially if they have dry or oily skin types. People who have these skin types or simply find that the perfume smells too light on them would benefit from using the matching bat and body products of the same fragrance as this would help to layer the scent of the perfume and make it smell slightly stronger as well as increasing the longevity of the scent because you are applying a base for the scent to adhere to...

Joop! Homme Shower Gel
Review of Joop! Homme Shower Gel by
just.bcoz
Advantages: smells nice, layers and compliments the scent of the perfume
Disadvantages: none really, possibly too expensive for some
...Joop! Homme ~ Shower Gel
Some time ago my husband got a Joop! Homme gift set for Christmas; he really likes all of the Joop fragrances, but Joop! Homme is his all time favourite. The Joop! Homme gift set which he received consisted of a bottle of Joop! Homme eau de toilette, a tube of shower gel and a tube of shaving balm. The gift set wasn't really expensive and only cost about £28-30 for all three items, which is really good value for money considering a 75ml bottle of Joop! Homme eau de toilette costs £30. Most of the time when I am buying a perfume for myself or my husband I always tend to purchase the git set because you get more for your money and you also get the bath and body products which compliment and layer the scent of the perfume.
The picture at the top of this review is incorrect and doesn't resemble...

No unwanted little itches from this gel.
Review of Avon Aqua Sensitive Shower Gel by
wulise
Advantages: Ideal for all the family.
Disadvantages: Used by all the family!
...At the moment I am having a lot of fun testing new Avon products. Today I would like to introduce the ‘Avon Aqua Shower Gels’ range to my Ciao portfolio. I thought I would try these Shower Gels out as they were on special offer and I had forgotten to pack some “everyday” shower gels to use at the gym. Well that is my excuse and I am sticking to it! Okay so the gym provides a shower/shampoo but I personally do not really like the aroma, or the fact that it is not designed for sensitive skin. Now I must get back to the subject in question, ‘Avon Aqua Shower Gels’ and in particular Aqua ‘Sensitive’ Shower Gel.
In the past, I have tended to use Aqua ‘Sensitive’ shower gel, simply because it did not upset Shane’s skin or mine. (Shane tends to suffer from Eczema and generally has sensitive skin). The un-perfumed shower gel would gently...

ENERGISING SHOWER GEL!
Review of Hugo Boss Hugo Energise Shower Gel by
just.bcoz
Advantages: smells nice, layers and compliments the scent of the perfume
Disadvantages: none really, slihtly expensive for some
...Hugo Boss ~ Energise ~ Shower Gel
I bought my husband a Hugo Boss Energise gift set for his Christmas, he has a few Hugo Boss fragrances and he likes the smell of them as do I. Inside the gift set there was a bottle of Energise Eau De Toilette, a tube of shower gel and shaving balm. The gift set wasn't that expensive and only cost me £30 for all three items; when I'm buying perfumes I tend to always buy gift sets because they are better value for money. The Hugo Boss Energise shower gel can also be bought on its own from most department stores if you don't want to buy a gift set.
As you can see from the picture at the top of this review the shower gel is supplied in a silver coloured tube which has a chunky silver screw on/off lid. I think that the tube of shower gel has really simple colouring and design; yet it still...

Is it vital to use vitality shower gel??
Review of Palmolive Aromatherapy Vitality Shower Gel by
duskmaiden
Advantages: nice smell, does its job
Disadvantages: nothing outof r the ordinary, smell not sstrong enough to be really invigorating
...I'm like most people. I hate getting up in the morning and need a jolt to wake me up. I need a zingy shower gel to rouse me from my slumber so I can get the day off to a good start. I usually find citrus or mint scents does the trick. I have used Palmolive shower gel quite a bit as I really like their honey and milk moisturising gel. They also used to do a nice kiwi scented gel. Since I trust them I thought I would try the Vitality gel from their aromatherapy range.
The gel attracted me as it has grapefruit, orange and cedarwood essential oils. These sound a nice combination especially as I like citrus scented products (I am a big fan of Original Source products). At £1.20 for a 250-ml bottle it is reasonably priced and thus you can use it as an everyday indulgence rather than an occasional luxurious treat.
The bottle...

cUrLy LoCkS GEL NO.1
Review of Alberto Vo5 Curl Power Gel by
emu128
Advantages: Works superb
Disadvantages: Quite Sticky
...My previous 2 opinions have been written on moose for hair, moose which boosts curls. You may want to read these opinions before you get started into this one. (The three op's are related)
This opinion however is on hair gel, not moose. The gel does the same job however. This opinion is on:
ADVANCED Alberto V05 Power gel
As said in my previous 2 opinions, my hair is thick, wavy and curly and needs attention everyday. When it isn't being straightened or put up it needs bringing to life and this is why I use curling or boosting moose / gel.
These are the three products I have written on: (My fave three)
* Salon Selectives Moose
* L'Oreal Studio Line Moussing Curls
* Advanced Alberto V05 Power gel
As you can see I'm now onto my last opinion. As said in my previous ops, I have been using all three of these products...

Next Generation Gel, My Vision Of Hell
Review of Brylcreem Next Generation Strong Gel by
PagetBoyz
Advantages: Strong Hold, Long Lasting Effect.
Disadvantages: A soapy effect occurs when rubbing into hair, bit pricey.
...I needed some new hair gel, so off I went to my local supermarket which happens to be Tesco. The hair gel range on offer was pretty poor, with there being a choice between Brylcreem and L'Oreal. I had used the old Brylcreem range, the strong gel, which was coloured green, Yummy, so I thought I'd give the new range a go. I purchased the Ultra Strong gel as back then I had a spiky style which wouldn't stay up.
Packaging: The new packaging of the Hair Gel is unique, but I thought it was pretty horrible with just a grey cover and the red lion on top with the Logo as well. The bottle was one of these squirty one's with a flip open top which made accessing the gel very easy, just be careful when you squeeze the gel as it is very liquified so will go all over the floor.
Does It Work: I've been told a little goes a long way, Yeah...

Tesco Value styling gel
Review of Tesco Styling Gel by
DeniseKelly40
Advantages: not expensive
Disadvantages: doesn't work very well
...Tesco Value Styling Gel
**WHAT IT DOES**
It is a styling gel to help create your won style. It's a wet gel, which dries into your hair. It means your hair will stay in place as the gel hardens.
**PACKAGING**
It comes in a reasonably large tub, which is made of flexible plastic that is see-through. You can see the blue gel, which is bright in colour and is eye-catching. It has a screw lid, which is white. The tub is waterproof and durable. On the front there is a white label with red writing and boarders. The Tesco value logo is on the front, which is red and blue. On the sides there is additional information on the product in blue writing with blue and red boarders.
**INGREDIENTS**
Aqua, Triethandamine, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, PVP, Diazolidinyl Urea, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Methylparaben, Parfum, Benzophenone-4, CL...

A gel with a purpose!
Review of Wella Shock Waves Ultra Strong Max Hold Gel by
DashOfMooo
Advantages: Super Strong. Great on short hair.
Disadvantages: Needs washing out in longer hair
...Let me start by saying that I have two opinions on this gel. One is good, one is bad. In the spirit of the positive atmosphere here at ciao, lets start with the positive side.
The Wella shockwave range is one of the biggest selling hair care ranges in the UK, and I believe this particular gel is their top selling one. It is attractively packaged in a light blue, semi transparent tube, with your usual selection of instructions, branding and aftersales consumer care - including some kind of chat room. Why would anyone want to talk in a gel chat room? Slightly odd - but anyway.
The regular tube shape, with wide base is ideal for keeping it upright in a messy, busy bathroom, while the flip open lid is fast and hygienic. (How can people still use gels and wax'es that require you to screw back on the top when you have sticky hands...
