Until now I bought my first Snowbee line 5 years ago just as they started hitting the market. I had used many brands of lines up until then - Cortland, Lureflash, Airflo and was currently using a Shakespeare Worcestershire, and then I bought this 'new' line from a company who, at the time, mainly made waders The lines were simply called Snowbee Prestige lines then. At the time, the Prestige line felt good. Easy to cast, shot through the rings well and was reasonably durable. ...Car insurance. What an interesting subject. I hate it, and unless you're an insurance broker, you probably hate it too. But we all need it if we want to drive. This is the first year I have been with Direct Line, and so far, so good. My insurance with my previous insurers always cost me what I considered to be far too much money. I believe I am a safe driver, 1 minor hiccup a few years ago, but that was my fault and no other vehicles were involved. I just reversed into a very large, narrow post. It was in my blind spot...ok!!! Well, that's my excuse anyway, but that's my only accident, and I was still gutted when I'd done it! It so happened that at about this time a LineOne leaflet popped through my letterbox with the usual wad of junk mail. Luckily for LineOne, their blurb caught my eye and narrowly avoided instant consignment to the recycling bin; unluckily for me, I signed up for the LineOne SurfTime package… It seemed like a good idea at the time; the company offered free calls between 6pm and 8pm as usual, but the real temptation was the 1p per minute peak time calls when most other ISPs offered 2p. ...Introduction = I love my two Springer Spaniels so much that I would never compromise their health. They have both been insured since the day they came home as a puppy. Before getting a policy I did shop around via the Internet because you want the best price and the best cover. I think I tried almost every company (at that time as they may be loads more now). I couldn't seem to get the balance between good cover and reasonable cost. I love my dogs but I'm not made of money. Pet Insurance is the most likely policy you will claim on. My partner already had a Direct Line policy for car insurance and breakdown cover and there website advertised that you could receive a discount if someone at your address had a policy. ...‘Direct Line & Sinker’ I am a dissatisfied Direct Line Rescue (ex)customer. I, like many others, took the time and effort to shop around for my motor insurance, when I got the lowest quote available on the market from ‘DL’, I was astonished to see that the premium was a LOT lower than the main rivals, so much so in fact, that upon speaking to one insurer to ask for a comparison, they asked who I had spoken to so far and the poor girl on the other end of the line could not get off the phone quick enough after the hearing the words ‘Direct’ and ‘Line’ in the same sentence.
