Advantages: Good Coverage, Excllent Customer Services, Excellent Price Plans
Disadvantages: none
...In a world full of expanding technology and new innovations it becomes very difficult to keep up with what’s happening in the world. You buy one new gadget and just as you learn how to use it another one appears and yours becomes out of date. The same is to be said for mobile phones. Not long ago they were absolutely huge! When I look back and think about what I must have looked like carrying one of those things around with me I cringe with embarrassment. I was never a yuppy or anything but as a lone female walking around collecting money in some rather dodgy areas it was a necessary safety precaution (note I said collecting and not earning! lol)
Nowadays it seems the smaller the better and it makes you wonder how they manage to increase technology and decrease the size of the handset?
So you can now use phones for web browsing...

The best mobile device ever... period!
Review of T-Mobile MDA Vario II by
sosull
Advantages: Unbeatable connectivity, intergrated keyboard, has full WM 5.0 OS, great camera, excellent build quality
Disadvantages: Battery life, screen attracts fingerprints
...For a good while I've been searching for the ideal mobile phone replacement. My current, (yet now replaced), Samsung D600 had more than served its purpose over the last 16 months or so and with myself being someone who enjoys getting a hold of the latest technology the MDA Vario II seemed an ideal choice....
... so I bought one!
Beforehand I had a Pocket PC of my own; an HP iPaq 2210 which ran Windows Mobile 2003 Premium Edition. The main purpose for wanting one of these was so I could have a computer with me at all times; whether I needed to write a quick document, compose an email, make a note of an appointment in my calendar or perhaps maybe to relax with a quick game... the downside to the 2210 was it had no true internet. It did have Bluetooth but no Wifi so any email I wrote was only sent once docked with my PC. I had...

mobile magic
Review of Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile by
ricci
Advantages: great fun for scarlett, stimulating, visually bright, aids development
Disadvantages: the novelty will wear of, a little flimsy
...For Scarlett’s first Christmas one of the presents we got her was a mobile. She’s too young for a mobile I hear you say, yes we’ve heard that one before! Her first Christmas has coincided with us finally moving her from her moses basket to her cot, so the mobile was a good buy
DESIGN
I always thought that baby’s mobiles were quite unsophisticated things that just blew around a little, I was wrong! The mobile is a very bright eye catching concoction. It has three different animals hanging from a bright green pole that crooks at the top. Each animal is hung from a bit of string that is attached to a something that looks like a lampshade. Each of the three lampshades are the same colour as the animal and have black stripes on the underneath of the lampshade.
There is a bright green frog with big bulgy eyes and black striped legs...

T-Mobile Mates-Rates? They're Great, Mates!
Review of T-Mobile Pay as you go Mates-Rates Tarif by
jesi
Advantages: 5p text (or per minute talk) ANYTIME to fellow T-Mobile users
Disadvantages: If you use your phone mainly to call other networks, or spend more than £40 per month you may be worse off !
...T-Mobile has just introduced a new concept in Tariffs - the New Mates-Rates allows the T-mobile PAYG customer to talk to any other T-mobile customer anytime for just 5p/minute; a landline for 20p/minute, and any other network for 40p/minute; texts cost 5p to T-mobile customers and 10p to any other network.
I've been distracted by Billboards (Hoardings) for months advertising T-Mobile's latest idea in Contract Tariffs - called U-Fix - where a fixed Contract Rate gives you "xxx" peak (or off-peak) "any network" minutes and "xxx" texts (which if not used expire at the end of the month); you can also "Top-up" like a PAYG for additional usage (this credit balance carries over from month to month) -- this enables you to have the convenience and basic freedom of a contract...

Tesco are now Mobile...
Review of Tesco Mobile by
pauljm
Advantages: Reasonable cost and a straightforward range of tariffs
Disadvantages: Some underlying network problems
...Want to buy your mobile while picking up your beans? Why not go one better and have the supermarket BE the mobile network with Tesco Mobile (well almost… see below!).
When did Tesco build a mobile network?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The answer, of course, is that they didn't. The Tesco Mobile network is a 'virtual' network, similar to Virgin Mobile, in this case being carried on the O2 network. It is a joint venture between Tesco and O2. Why do these virtual networks exist? On the (physical) network operator's side they use up spare capacity while someone else picks up the marketing bill. On the (virtual) network operator's side they gain the ability to offer mobile telephony services without the need to spend (many) millions and years building a network. Here O2 effectively get access to Tesco's undoubted marketing ability...
DONT GET A MOBILE ITS TOO LATE NOW
Review of Mobile Phones - Mobile Phone Services by
fairypancakes
Advantages: n/a
Disadvantages: Low Demand = High Prices
...Its been a few years now since Mobile Phones really took off. Pay as You go services were what started the ball rolling into mega success. The concept is relatively simple. You pay for your calls in advanced with a "top up voucher" and then when you have used all your calling credit, say 5 pounds for example, you simply "top up" again. This was a completely successful alternative to "Contract" phones. In which you had to pay a fixed monthly fee, and then get billed for your calls at the end of the year. In other words it’s basically the same as the standard home telephone.
