Select a bargain

...I recently discovered an excellent little shop named select. I found this little aladins cave which is packed full of low budget bargains in Rutherglen shopping centre which i usually only visit for a cafe lunch as the shops in recent years really havent been up to much but when i noticed a new shop had filled the space of one of the many vacant retail units i couldnt resist going in for a quick browse. Before i knew it i had been in the shop for more than 45 minutes and was making my way to the till with arms full of pretty summer dresses and a few other goodies. I purchased three dresses to wear over leggings. ...Way back in the olden days Condoms were made of animals intestines. Yuck how horrible is that piece of information. It is said in folklore that a Dr Condom who worked for King Charles invented them. The Japanese were said to have used ones made from tortoise shell or from Leather. Thankfully now they are transparent and microscopically thin and most are made from latex. BigBaz reckons when he was at sea the one he used were like inner tubes and called Volcanic Eruptions. Select your favourite clothes at a low price

Advantages: Good clothes for the prices
Disadvantages: The rails and the changing rooms

...As I walk along the busy highstreet of Weston-super-Mare, Select cathes my eye with the big sale signs in the window. I instantly think ahhh plenty of bargins so I find myself trying to weave myself though the crowds and eventually I have reached the shop. I'm standing in the doorway of Select scanning the shop with my eyes deciding in which direction to head. The shop looks crammed with people and the clothes rails look quite close together so the layout to me isn't very pleasing. Oh well, I think to myself shall I risk getting squashed or shall I leave the gorgeous jeans to my right. shopping at select

Advantages: value for money
Disadvantages: gets a bit crowded

...I was saying to my best friend that we need some good clothes shops for women in our area. We live in a small town with not a great variety of shops, the one store we usually went to was peacocks but i think they have started to go down hill a little bit,there clothes tend to look cheap. To our suprise the following week a new shop was to open and of course it was select , i was so excited i love to shop and it was local what more could i ask for. Opening day of select we dived in to the shop and i had gone to heaven not only were the clothes execellent value for money , they were execellent quality too,and they had a openning day sale( bliss ) The overall layout of the shop was good but a little bit crowded,as i had my son in his pushchair i found he grabbed quite a few clothes from the rails(a bit emmbarassing when he is trailing...

Select and Protect Home Insurance

Advantages: First class service
Disadvantages: Need to use Google to find one of their agents call back service.

...I had heard of this insurance company through a friend of mine who came back off holiday to find her terraced house flooded by a burst pipe. She had her home insurance with Select and Protect and phoned them with the news. They financed a new underground pipe to be put in place and paid for the replacement (new for old) of her damaged furniture etc. She was so pleased with their response, and especially the speed at which they reacted that she felt honour bound to recommend them. So i used them for my landlords insurance. Glad i did! A few months ago, the upstairs emmersion heater sprung a leak and emptied itself thought the living room ceiling and soaked anything in its path. I now have a new ceiling and carpets and my tenatns have new furniture and enjoyed two nights in a hotel while the house was dried out using dehumidifiers...

T0715 for Epson printers

Advantages: cheaper to buy 4 but can also buy singly
Disadvantages: you have to look around for the cheapest as prices do vary

...The inks are Black T0711 Cyan T0712 Magenta T0713 Yellow T0714 Each pack comes in a vacuum wrapping and it is worth to not open until you need it. To use you just pull off the yellow strip and just drop it into your printer. It really is as simple as that. Instructions do say to shake the ink cartridge 4 or 5 times before putting it in but I have forgotten to do that and panic stations, but it made absolutely no difference that I could see but perhaps I was just lucky. These cartridges cannot be refilled and I have not yet seen any recycling place that it happy to receive them - probably just because they cannot be refilled. How long do they last? Well that is like how long is a piece of string as it really does depend on the amount of printing that you do. The colours are all sharp and good though. Summary It...

...Well this one had to be a bit on the festive side and today I went to bingo and won £50 and a mountain of selection boxes. Now these are a treat as I do not normally buy them now as all my friends kids are all grown up, but secretly I do like to get one or two. The Cadburys 99p section box is the one I am going to write about, however you can get larger ones that go up to around £5 and if you look out for the £2.99 ones you can normally buy two for a £5. Bargain eh, well lets take a look. The Packing = A very pretty tin foiled packet measuring around 12 inches by 8 inches. The writing is in gold and says Cadbury and in red it has selection. Yummy Cadburys biscuit selection

Advantages: Good quality, no skimping on chocolate.

Fare enough the plain old digestive is good for that hunger pang on the move, but the selection of biscuits I’m reviewing here are your more should I say “High class” those sort of biscuits you’d buy if your mum was coming round for a cuppa. Slazenger V500 Select Cricket Bat

...After finishing my first season at my local cricket club with no cricket bat of my own, I decided it was about time to buy my own. After lots of recommendations about different bats I decided to go to the sports store and find out more. Thats when I stumbled upon an end of season price for the Slazenger V500 Select of £30. Usually this particular bat is £70. I plumped for the Short handle (mainly because it was the only one left in the shop!!). I wasn't disappointed. The bat didn't need 'knocking in' due to the protective cover over the front so I was straight in the Winter Nets with it. After a few overs getting used to the bat, I found the middle quite easily. The middle of this bat is not for the faint hearted!! A nice cover drive saw the ball hurtling THROUGH the bottom of the net and towards the far corner of the room...

Selective cleaning

Advantages: Lovely fragrance

...I used to use Salon Selectives as a teenager so when I saw it recently in my local Wizard store (a Pound shop) I snatched it up. I rushed home with a bottle each of shampoo and conditioner in my hot little hands. Imagine my disappointment when I realised that the products have changed beyond all recognition. Let me put it simply, apart from adding a delicious fragrance to your hair, they simply don't work. But I'm getting ahead of myself. *Appearance* Salon Selectives shampoo can still be found in bright pink plastic bottles with the words Salon Selectives in large white letters across the front.
