With a RAM Of Lightining
Review of Corsair Value Select DRAM 2 GB PC4200 by
lil_deano_lil
Advantages: Very Fast..Great Value For Money
Disadvantages: None =D
...- - - Corsair Value Select DRam 2 GB PC2-5300 - - -
If your looking to upgrade your system and not raid the bank, The Corsair Value Select DRAM 2 GB PC2-5300 is a
great piece of kit. With 2 modules of ram each with 1024 Megabytes of Ram (2 x 1Gb) with Speeds Up To 667 Mhz,
This upgrade is fantastic for any computer user that wants to multitask and use memery hungry applications.
I bought this ram for £65 a month ago but i'm sure you can get this cheaper. The Ram was very easy to install,
I opened my case, found the two 240-pin DIMM Slots, pushed down both of the safty caches and slotted in
both of the modules making sure i didn't touch any part of the chips on the Ram which may make it unusable
due to static electricity in the skin. If you are going to install the Ram yourself I recommend that you invest in
an anti...

Cheap, easy and reliable
Review of Corsair Value Select DRAM 512 MB PC3200 by
sillylizard
Advantages: Inexpensive, reliable, memory upgrade gives huge boost in performance
Disadvantages: You must make sure you get the correct type of memory!
...Increasing the memory in your PC is the most cost effective way to increase performance. This value product from Corsair is perfect for most users, the only times its not recommended for are servers that are on 24/7 and overclocking. I've never used value memory for overclocking, so couldn't comment, but I have used value select memory in a desktop that is left running for days at a time and never seen any problems. This memory is very robust, I've never had a chip fail.
Memory is also probably the simplest thing to upgrade inside a computer, it takes only a couple of minutes to insert the chip and then you are ready to go. In general, no settings need altering in your computer (since it already has some memory, it now just has more, unlike when its faced with an entirely new device).
When upgrading memory you must check exactly...

Kwanon kweates leally nice scanners!!
Review of Canon CanoScan LiDE 30 by
Kingseany
Advantages: Cheap, simple, quick to learn
Disadvantages: Multiple scan in one pass is suspect
...(which initiates ScanGear), select the scanner (you only do this once), hit the scan (acquire) button, then click preview. This bit is quite quick, a full A4 preview taking about 15 seconds or so. You'll now see the document appear on the screen. The software automatically senses what is document and what is not, and selects it. In 99% of cases it gets this right, on odd occasions, you might need to adjust it - but this takes seconds. Happy with the preview, click the scan button - and in less than 60 seconds for an A4 document at the default settings, the scan is complete.
** More Advanced Scanning **
In "simple" mode, scanning is very quick, and generally the reproduction on the screen is satisfactory for most uses. The advanced settings however allow you to fine-tune the scanning process for those more important documents. Settings...

Review of Epson Stylus CX6400 by
Deru
Advantages: Quiet, Fast, High Quality Prints, High Resolution, Saves space, Built-in card reader, Colour photocopying, Stand-alone printing, LOTS of functions, Looks good, Borderless printing
Disadvantages: Vertical paper tray, paper jams, Disobedient with paper! Takes time to learn to use, Index scanning difficult to work out!
...cartridges. To install them, I just had to lift open the scanner unit, lift up plastic holder, insert cartridges into the appropriate slots by pushing down till I heard a click (the lock that secures the cartridge on the cartridge itself), then close everything. The printer then ‘charges’ the ink, which takes about a minute. I also aligned the cartridges and printer heads. Basically, the printer prints a number of lines, I then tell it which lines are straightest, then which boxes blend together best. Had to do two of each.
Removing the ink cartridges is also quite easy. Just open the plastic bit that secures the cartridges, pull the lock/release thing and pull it out.
Setting up the software seems straight forward enough. The program runs upon inserting the CD and lets you select what you want to install from the CD. When you start...

Very Great System with MANY options.
Review of CyberPower Gamer Ultra 7500SE by
Azraeldarcon
Advantages: Many options to choose from, prompt delivery, and exceptional service
Disadvantages: The average consumer may find the odering process confusing and difficult
...CyberPower Gamer Ultra 7500SE
I have 2 of these PC's that are Identical and my wife and I have absolutely loved them. But let's get right down to it shall we.
Ordering Process:
The process of ordering any PC from CyberPower can be very confusing to the average consumer with little computer knowledge. You are greeted by a flashy main page with may options to choose from and starting prices for the machines. Once you have done the research and know what components you want, you can whiz through the customization process rather easily. You start by selecting the tower case you would like, and then move on to upgrades, such as neon lights and extra cooling fans. After this comes the selection of Power Supply, at this point there are only 2 choices needed, SLI ready or not, and what wattage you will need (the more and more powerful...

Cheep and Cheerful
Review of Visioneer PaperPort 6100 B by
grandleveller
Advantages: easy to use
Disadvantages: not many
...and it will start up. When paper port is up and running select the file menu at the top of the screen, now choose 'select source', a dialog box will appear, in this box you'll see paper port or visioneer scan manager, select this and the click ok, this process sets the scanner to scan using the paper port software.
Now to scan a document, place your document face down on the glass bed, i find lining it up along the referece frame helps a lot, especially keeping the document straight, now close the lid.If paper port isn't yet up and running then open it by pressing the button on the front of the scanner now press the button again, the scanner will now preview the document, what this means is that it scans the document for you to preview before you down load the scanned picture to your computer.
Previewing can be very handy if you only...

An Epson the size of an average dog
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R300 by
Kingseany
Advantages: Great value, loads of features, high quality prints, fast
Disadvantages: Price of ink - but that's nothing unusual
...opened reveals the slots for direct memory card printing. The other USB 2.0 port is located on the back, and is best used to connect to your computer – note theres no parallel port. There is another removable panel above the display, which I assume is for future expansion (an optional 2.5” colour display etc).
Dimensions
It’s quite a monster, well actually about the size of a small to medium sized dog, to be more precise : 49.8 cm x 26.4 cm x 21.8 cm, or in inches 18.7”W x 19.6”D x 11.4”H. It’s weight is 6.4kg (141b).
Installation
Thankfully printer manufacturers these days seem to have made installation the easiest thing in the world, it really is a doddle. Connect the power cord, turn on, select your language on the display panel. Install the ink cartridges (each one is colour coded), and press the Maintenance button. This part takes...
