Review of Epson Cool Peel T-Shirt - iron-on transfers - 10 pcs. by
kerryzach
Advantages: easy to use
Disadvantages: easy to mess up,
...Funny title you may think, for a review on T Shirt Transfers. All will beome clear as the review progresses!!
Why did I buy Iron On T Shirt Transfers?
Well, I am a bit of an impulse buyer and I have seen these in Viking Catalogues and Wallis Catalogues whilst at work and always wanted to have a go with them. Whenever we used to go to Scarborough, when I was little, my dad always used to buy us a T Shirt we had designed ourselves. They were not expensive or very good quality but the deisgn was ours and we loved it!!
Where did I buy the Iron On T SHirt Transfers?
I bought them from Wallis' Stationers in my home town but you can get from Staples, PC World, and all other places like that.
How much did they cost?
They cost around £10 for ten A4 sheets. I cant remember the exact price Im afraid. A bargain I think as you can...

Graphics to make you Smirk like Elvis
Review of BFG GeForce 8800 GTS by
FlameDruid
Advantages: Smooth and powerful
Disadvantages: Power hungry, large.
....0C which is as high as it's ever going to go in XP very nicely indeed.
One of the things that filled my face with Elvis smirks when I opened the box was that it came with a poster and a T-shirt. I'm 53 and quite a stern and mature person so I'm not going to put a poster of a BFG soundcard on my wall but the T-shirt is brilliant. It struck me as a very confident move that they added it to the package. In a world full of jargon and hype, how nice to find a card so efficient that you could forget you owned it. That's why they supplied the T-shirt, I think. They must have known that without it there would be all these customers with lifetime guarantees and free 24/7 help they wouldn't need to use. They might forget the card that made all this possible. Their solution? Supply them with a free T-shirt so they'd remember what a great engine...

Quality as usual from Psion
Review of Psion Revo - EPOC32 5 - ARM710T 36 MHz - RAM: 8 MB - ROM: 8 MB ( 480 x 160 ) by
Mcsm
Advantages: A lot of lessons learnt from the Sienna are shown here
Disadvantages: Lack of a spell checker
...As far as pocket-sized computing goes, for something a step up from a cheap databank your choice has always been limited to 3Com's ubiquitous Palm Pilot family and the keyboard-less Palm-style Windows CE imitators. Now Psion is having another stab at the market with its curvaceous new Revo. It's not as small as a Palm Pilot, but it packs a potentially bigger punch and has a very useable keyboard to boot.
Psion's recently launched Series 5mx is a powerful beast but critics would argue it's just a tad too heavy and large for a shirt pocket. Until now, Psion's only truly diminutive offering was the Siena. A commercial flop, the Siena was truly tiny but it wasn't very powerful and it was devoid of any comms facilities apart from the then-optional PC synchroniser package, PsiWin.
Psion appears to have learnt from its Siena experience...

HOW DID THEY FIT ALL THAT IN????
Review of HP iPAQ Pocket PC H4150 by
maddad1
Advantages: WIFI, Bluetooth, Fast and TINY !!!
Disadvantages: Slight yellow tint to the screen
...is so small and light, it will slip into a shirt top pocket easily. It comes with a nice jacket to protect it, but this doubles the thickness of the unit. I've put a screen protector film on mine, and certainly in the summer carry it in my shirt pocket without the jacket.
On the negative side, there are only a couple of things I can think of worth mentioning. First, I've had to reboot it a few times because it seized. Its an easy operation, just press a recessed button with the stylus and it takes a few seconds. No data was lost and it worked fine after.
The other negative I have to admit, I didnt even notice until I read it somewhere else. The screen has a yellow tint to it if viewed at certain angles. Its not a problem as far as Im concerned, but clearly some dont like it, so I suggest you try to see one in the flesh before you commit...

Quality in every sense (apart from features!)
Review of Lexmark Z 33 Color Jetprinter by
acardy
Advantages: Easy to use, small, neat, fairly robust, good quality
Disadvantages: Not many features
...at a cheep price, and to do this maybe they have a skip a few features. That's fine by me because personally I only use the basic ones anyway.
Anyhow, the printer includes your basic functions and settings. These include the quality setting, the order you want the document printed out, the paper type (for example envelope DL size or plain A4), and the print style (for example banner or t-shirt transfer). That really is it for the functions, but as I said, it's more than enough for me. If you want all singing all dancing however, maybe you should look at a newer printer.
What is nice however, is when you print, a little information box pops up at the bottom right of your screen. This tells you how far gone to print job is, how much ink the printer has left and other such information. You can also customise the skin. Along...

The Aliens have landed at my house
Review of Alienware Area 51 7500 by
docpov
Advantages: It is a great looking very powerful PC
Disadvantages: You have to have deep pockets
...the black box, a very strong good quality box and inside is another alien head inviting me to open the lid to discover the delights it is hiding within. There is a lot to feast my eyes on, keyboard, mouse, manuals, disks and my free Alienware T shirt together with a large bag of bits and pieces that obviously come from inside a PC somewhere (I am still not sure what that bag of bits is for, they don't seem to needed for the machine to run). Lifting this box out I come to the most exiting bit, my first look at the tower. Here is where beast really does start to be an apt description.
It is big, it is black (other colours available include lime green. blue, white and silver) and very intimidating.
It is the unique look of Alienware systems that are half the attraction and seeing this monster there was no way I could not be impressed...

My new digital friend
Review of HP iPAQ 614c Business Navigator by
ScottishWestie
Advantages: Features, well made, size & weight, value for money
Disadvantages: HP customer services, location of SD card
...advice in the 'get you started' booklet. There was a coloured flap on the box highlighting main features of the phone but little else.
It's not sexiest or most stylish looking phone I have ever seen put it next to the slim & stylish Apple iphone & no one would give it a second look. It doesn't come in eye catching colours or have slide out key boards, it's just a plain looking 'candy bar' phone with a built in jog wheel on the key pad.
It isn't as bulky as it looks in photographs & only weighs a mere 145g, put it in your shirt pocket & it won't pull your shirt out of shape. It will take up very little room in a ladies evening bag.
SPECIFICATIONS
Marvell PXA270 Processor 520MHz
128 MB SDRAM main memory for running applications, 256 MB flash ROM, Integrated WLAN 802.11b/g with WPA2 security, Bluetooth® 2.0 with EDR

Handy Palm
Review of Palm Vx by
athar
Advantages: 8Mb RAM. Huge variety of software. Slim. Long battery life.
Disadvantages: B/W. But with grey-scale I don't really miss colour that much.
...I don't usually like Organisers. Had a filofax...too cumbersome so never carried it. Even had a Palm III which after a couple of months even that felt bulky. The Palm Vx is such a slim product it can fit in a shirt pocket. It has an excellent range or software for it which is expanding every day (has the largest PDA development community). Anything you could possibly want has been written and is out there for you. I use it to connect to my Phone via the IR port to download mail and play some games. Granted the games ain't too fancy (about the standard of the ol' BBC micro back in 1980's but face it those games had great game-play. Also the killer app has to be AvantGo. Download all your news in the morning and read it on the tube on your way to work. No need to try and fold a braodsheet in a cramped carriage, just hit the scroll key...

Jet is right
Review of HP Deskjet 930c by
Rosie6349
Advantages: quiet, ink lasts a long time
Disadvantages: None
...When I bought this printer I didn't expect much for $89.00 US and with a rebate on it to boot but was told by the sales rep that it was a "decent printer for the price"
I brought it home and have used it time and time again. I like the small compact size, the easy load paper tray and I love the quietness of it. You can barely hear it run.
It came with some regular paper, greeting card stock, transfer paper, even paper for glossy folders and a book telling you what all you can do with it. I love making my own Christmas cards and transfers for t-shirts and it does a great job.
The color is very true to life and you can print out some great photgraphs with it also nice for gifts in a special frame.
Of course the software came with it too and one black ink cartridge and one color. I was told at the time that the cartridges didn...

Cheap to buy and to run
Review of Epson Stylus Color 670 by
Udo1
Advantages: cheap to buy cheap to run, good quality
Disadvantages: none
...I have bought my Epson 670 about half a year ago. My old Printer was a HP, but I found it to expensive to run, so I have gone for the Epson instead. I was very impressed right from the start. The resoluttion is 720 dpi, which is enough if you do not want to use it professionally. The cartridges are about £12 for the black and £16 for the 3-colour. However, if you go for compatible cartridges instead you could pay as little as £3 for the black and £5 for the 3-colour. These are roughly the same quality as the originals, but your warranty does not cover you anymore. The printer itself is very versatile. I use it for greeting cards, business cards and even for Iron-on T-shirt transfers. The quality is very good for the price of £78.99. You can see how much ink you have got left on your on-screen display. It comes with photo...
