Toyota MR2 GT T-Bar! A Future Classic

Advantages: Great looks, fast car, amazing handling and cheap to purchase
Disadvantages: common t-bar seals leaking but these can be replaced

...I originally had a mk1 Toyota MR2 which had reliability issues with trouble starting and rust build up etc. In January 2009 I decided to part with her and buy a nice red 1997 Toyota MR2 mk2 T-bar. Not only did it look like a baby Ferrari with its gleamiong red paintwork, pop up lights and twin exhasut system, it performed like one aswell! Not so common on the roads now you can't help notice people turning there heads for a look and i'm sure at first glance they think it's a Ferrari :) I have had no reliablility issues with my car as of yet, Ive had the car serviced at Toyota by very helpful staff. I have only replaced the engine struts underneath the engine and purchased some nice black and red rim 17" alloys with look a treat on the car. I recommend to keep away from the turbo version as my brother previously owned one...

I just love my MR2 T-Bar

Advantages: 2 seats, fast, roof comes off.
Disadvantages: Leaks water a little. Drinks fuel.

Simple and sweet motoring

Advantages: looks / pace / free from woosy driver aids / brilliant steering
Disadvantages: attracts attention e.g thiefs and police

...I purchased a 77,000 FSH white t-bar motor for the measly sum of £1395. As i'm a student still at college this money took a while to save up but for that type of money the MR2 has lived up to my expectations. My options for a new car where between a 205 GTi (immposible to find a good one), a ford capri 2.8L or a MK1 MR2. I didn't need long to deceide. With its clean cut angular curves and those pop up headlights the MR2 easily sums up my ideal motor. This review is as much an appraisal of the MK1 MR2 as an attack on the european bureaucrats who blight modern motoring with their rules and regulations. The MR2 would not pass any NCAP safety ratings. The MR2 would not have been built today as its angular looks are so far away from modern cars that more and more seem to look like bubbles. Another Chanel classic - Coco Mademoiselle

Advantages: Elegant
Disadvantages: Pricey

The bottle itself is one of those bottles I consider to be a dressing table bottle, that is, it looks very feminine and romantic. It's quite a simple design. The bottle is clear glass with the liquid inside being somewhere between pink and a peach. On the front are the words Coco Mademoiselle Chanel Paris. The lid is an unusual frosted white T-bar style. I'm a cheeky Mademoiselle so I am!!

Advantages: Beautiful fragrance, lovely packaging, long lasting in the bottle
Disadvantages: Price is a bit steep to outla but it lasts ages cos you won't use it all the time!

...square with a t-bar see through white coloured lift off top that once again is simple to pull on and off. It's a see through glass bottle and made of a decent glass so it's not ugly and bulky looking but it is sturdy and robust at the same time. The liquid itself is a light rosy colour and you can see it through the glass bottle (of course lol). It is dispensed by a gold pump action sprayer which is situated at the top of bottle which gives a fine mist out every time you use it. All in all it looks simple, elegant and sophisticated looking. The only annoying thing about this bottle is that the t-bar does fall off which to be fair isn't a big problem it's just that I don't like it when I put the bottle in my handbag and I lose the lid and stuff in said handbag and it always seems to collect bits of dirt and fluff in it so I'd like to see...

Advantages: Handling developbed by Lotus, stuning looks, perfect reliability. A1 examples still under £5,000.
Disadvantages: Rust kills most of them, lots of very rough examples out there - especialy T-Bars.

Appalling Customer Support

Advantages: better coverage than One-to-One
Disadvantages: Lousy customer services

...We have just been trying to sort out a problem with BT Cellnet after I suddenly found my phone had been barred for outgoing calls for the second time in two weeks. The initial problem occurred because we had been trying to change the direct debit from one account to another. They tried to get money from the original account, found they couldn't and barred the number. Cellnet denied receiving the new mandate, so we asked for a new one and paid the account by a funds transfer from First Direct. We know it has left the account and we were charged extra by FD for doing it the same day. A week after this, a new mandate has still not arrived, my phone is barred again and to add insult to injury Cellnet are also denying receiving the direct payment. Today, we have spent a total of an hour and three-quarters hanging on waiting...
