The Classic Nokia 2600

Advantages: Slim, Cute and Cheap
Disadvantages: Battery backup unsatisfactory

...After Nokia released the models 2760 and 2630 is the Nokia 2600 classic. These models are an attempt to capture the market with features like blue tooth , video,GPRS and mp3 support and is also on the lower price range. The 2600 classic is the newer and more modified version of the earlier 2600. This version has more facilities and functions and is much slimmer. It has got quite an attractive look with an extra panel that comes along with the pack, which I think is great. The LCD is bigger than the previous one and comes along with a headset that features an FM radio too. The battery is however unsatisfactory. You need to charge up to two times a day if you listen to music or play games. It doesn't have a music player but can play mp3 and amr formats. It has only 10 MB inbuilt memory and doesn't have expandable memory. You can...

Nokia 2600, a phone that is just a phone

Advantages: Price, Easy to Use, Looks Sophisticated
Disadvantages: None, considering the price

...Nokia 2600 - I am prone to dropping my mobile phone. I'm not usually that clumsy, I just can't seem to look after my phones. The one I had before this Nokia 2600 was also a nokia. My boyfriend had given me his old one as he is on a contract and got an upgrade. The old one had a camera, colour screen, radio etc etc. When I eventually broke that one too I asked myself what I actually needed in a phone, and was it worth spending a small fortune on a load of features I was never going to use. The Nokia 2600 isn't a camera, a radio, an MP3 or video player, it is simply a phone, but what a great phone. It makes phone calls and allows you to text. What more could you want. Nokia is a brand I know well and a company that I can trust. Their phones are durable (unless continually dropped) and reliable. I decided to stick with Nokia. I went...

T-Mobile G1 - Balanced Review

Advantages: Youtube, 3G, fast, small, brilliant
Disadvantages: Battery Life, Weight

...The T-Mobile G1 is an exceptional device which allows you to do everything that you need when you need to do it. In the UK, the device comes with Unlimited Internet Usage, 'Unlimited' Meaning 1GB a Month of Bandwith, and the ability to access all of the applications avaliable on the Application Market. The Application Market is an online section, accessable via the mobile phone, to download various tools, games and various other types of apps, that can be executed on the mobile. Most of the applications are free, however; there are some that charge a small one-time fee, usually less than £1.50 (US $1.99). In my honest opinion the ability to add things, mostly for free, onto your mobile is a major bonus. The phone also ships with a Youtube application, and using the 3G Internet connection that the phone is compatable with, streams High...

T-mobile is clearly no longer just for hoopers

Advantages: Good coverage, excellent UK customer service (from Wales!), great value Flex-T plans
Disadvantages: Unused credit doesn't roll over.

...Over the years I've been with all the main networks, having started out on Cellnet (now O2), progressed to Vodafone, then Orange and now T-mobile. Bascially, whenever my existing provider annoys me with their ineptitude or another network offers me a better offer, I up sticks with my Portability Authorisation Code (PAC) and move across. Having been with T-Mobile for a year now, I don't expect to move from them anytime soon. Customer service is important to me. I don't want to have to ring these guys up every five minutes (in fact, I've only had cause to speak to a real person at T-Mobile twice) but when I do have to contact them I expect them to answer me promptly, understand what I want and deal with it. I'm prepared to pay more for a good level of service, and thought I'd found it with my previous provider, Orange, to whom I...

The T-Mobile G1 - A formidable opponent to the iphone

Advantages: Built-in compass sensitive Google Street View
Disadvantages: Slightly conservative look

...Although outwardly not as aesthetically pleasing as the iphone, the T-Mobile G1 is definitely a force to be reckoned with. It's body may be a little more "corporate" looking than that of it's ultra stylish competitor, but the G1's slightly smaller size and shape actually give it a more pleasant feel in the hand and pocket. Unlike the iphone it also has a sleek, slide out , backlit qwerty keyboard for those who find this type of text entry quicker and more comfortable. The newly developed Android operating system is visually and operationally fantastic and in many ways feels similar to that of Apple's Mac OS. Operationally the G1 allows the user to customize their desktop in the same way as the iphone, with one-tap icon navigation to all of the users chosen applications. These great applications are instantly downloadable from...

T-Mobile G1 - A Landmark Product

Advantages: Andriod OS, 3.2" screen, qwerty keyboard.
Disadvantages: Slightly old fasioned styling, build quality could be better

...T-Mobile G1. The Hardware: My initial impression of the G1 was mixed. It looks pretty business-like with the large touchscreen and rounded corners, but in both look and feel it has an air of Russian build quality about it. A far cry from the ultra sleek finish you get with the latest phones from Apple and Sumsung. The sliding screen does not have a positive location and tends to move slightly in the hand, not a reassuring feeling. The single USB/Headphone/Charging port is hidden under a flimsy push fit cover. The battery cover is prised off in creaky manner and the secondary volume and camera shutter buttons are fiddly to operate. The five main control buttons are well placed, operate with a satisfactory click and are back lit. There are the normal start and end call buttons, a back button, a home button (that displays...

T-mobile - the monkey service

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Disgraceful customer service

...I purchased a LG mobile phone from the T-Mobile store in Norwich in November 2004. Things were going very smoothly with regards to the service I was being provided with until June/July 2005. The phone stopped working sometime during June 2005 and I took the phone back to the zoo...sorry, store I purchased it from and asked them if they would like a banana...well... I may as well have done...what I actually said was "i wonder if you could help me my phone has stopped working". They said they would have to send the phone back to the manufacturer to ask them to have a look at it. This they duly did. After some monkey business...sorry, negotiation, they finally offered to lend me a "loan" phone for a deposit sum of 50 bananas...oops sorry fifty pounds. I took them up on the offer and went away with a loan phone. They duly telephoned...

thumbs up to t-mobile

Advantages: Good coverage, reasonable price plans, good customer services and free voicemail retrieval.
Disadvantages: None found as yet.

...I have been a customer of T-mobile now for a little over 3 years. I have a phone on contract from them. I initially signed up with T-mobile as they were doing and "all in one" package, phone 18 months line rental and 30anytime minutes to landline or other (at the time one2one) phones. My minutes could be rolled over upto a maximum of 1 hour and if I went over my 30 mins per month it was 10p a minute anytime. All this for £90. When my 18 months was up I upgraded my phone for free and changed onto the freetime tariff (which no longer is available unless you are already on this tariff) this includes calls to landlines and other t mobile users off peak (7pm- 7am and all weekend) up to 75 hours per month, at all other times calls are charged at 25p per minute with per second billing. This cost me £20 per month line rental. Text...

T-Mobile - Above the rest.

Advantages: Great Coverage,Great Prices, Great Choice.
Disadvantages: None at all

...it only takes upto 30secs and they are helpful people who will provide you with the best deal possible or any queries you have. T-Mobile also do not wish to lose customers tot he competition so they will endeavour to meet your needs if you wish to upgrade for example. Recently when I went to upgrade I was told i would have to pay the reccomended retail price of the handset which was £129.99, Then i threatened to cancel my contract and move to Orange and they offered me £80 of the handset if i stayed with T-Mobile. This then brought the cost down to only £50 which was an exceptional price for that handset (Nokia 8310). T-Mobile have come a long way since they were Mercury, 1-2-1, One2One and now T-Mobile one of the largest international Mobile Phone companies in the world. Because of this they have the financial backing to do...
