Best Family All-Rounder You Can Buy!
Review of Epson Stylus C44UX by
inycon2
Advantages: Easy to use, compact, simple instructions
Disadvantages: Noisy, A4 max paper size
...aspirations. I've been very pleased with the speed of photo printing.
INK
Takes T036 Black cartridges and T037 Colour cartridges. Prices very from £15 - £20 and can be bought cheaper in bulk from the internet sales sites. As I, generally, only print using a draft setting (options for different print settings can be chosen by entering 'print properties' in the dialog box, which pops up on the screen when you press print) the ink cartridges seem to last forever. As with most printer software there are options for choosing different print qualities from draft ( which I often use for printing text or pages off the internet) to photo. You can print in landscape or portrait and alter the page settings.
TECHNICAL DETAIL

Rainbow Broadcasting - The History of Colour TV.
Review of Everything that starts with R ... by
callancool
Advantages: Interseting subject
Disadvantages: None really
...the FCC commission stopped this, or the colour sets themselves were problematic I do not Know). Its early 1940 tests used 343 lines, but this had now been improved to 405. CBS trumpeted this with an hour long 'All Star' special 'Colorcast' (colour broadcast) on 25th June of that year entitled 'Premiere', with regular programming beginning two days later on the 27th with Ivan t. Sanderson's 'The World Is yours' the world's first colour TV series. CBS must have had greater clout, because it's system had a fatal flaw, despite the governments insistences, it wasn't compatible. Yup you've guessed it, the millions of monochrome receivers went blank with a colour broadcast, whilst the handful of colour sets in existence (rumoured to be about 400 in the whole country) had black screens throughout the glut of black and white programming on offer. Colour...

Original or compatible ??? It's up to you
Review of Epson T048 Multipack - print cartridge by
sandemp
Advantages: Don't affect warranty | Do the Job
Disadvantages: Expensive especially when compared to a compatible
...is no better than the unofficial.
-Text-
I must admit I don't print out a lot of text, but what I have printed has been sharp with no bleeding, with (yes you've guessed it), both types of ink. It really does seem as if a pattern is forming.
-Graphics-
My children and I have printed off several, brightly coloured pictures off of websites, including bookmarks that are almost full colour with light and dark colours next to each other. These have been printed on cheap, basic paper and again both types give perfect results.
---Economy---
I can't tell you exactly how many print jobs you will get out of these cartridges, as it depends on what you are printing. I've personally lost count of how many DVDs and photos I've printed. But again I can say that you don't seem to get any more than with the compatible.
---Warranty...

Pick a colour, any colour.....
Review of Crazy Colors Stargazer semi-Permanent Hair Colour by
Hydra101
Advantages: Vibrant and good choice of colours, no ammonia, good value for money.
Disadvantages: Can be messy, will only work well on blonde/bleach blonde hair.
...So, after many failed attempts at dying my hair various colours, and then using an all in one bleach and colour kit, only to find the colour STILL faded after about a month, I was now left with blondish/orangy strips in my dark brown hair, which really wasn’t a good look. So decided to have a look around on the net for some good colour products in the hope that they might now work a bit better on the bleached areas of my hair. This was how I came across Stargazer (www.stargazer-products.com). I done my research first and read a few reviews on their products and decided that these semi permanent dyes were worth giving a go, even though I was after something more permanent, they were cheap enough for it not too matter hugely and I could experiment with some colours before deciding what I actually wanted. So I went onto their website...

Whats your favorite colour
Review of Healing with Colour - Theo Gimbel by
Aquarian
Advantages: Feel better, calming effects and lots more
Disadvantages: Could change you
...All the time I have been on here I have thought about writing a book review and as an Aquarian I am always reading something or other. I love all types of books but this first review is going to be about something which interests me. Colour Healing.
The book is called Healing with Colour and is written by Theo Gimbel.
I have always been interested in alternative healing and have been fasinated by reading this book, to find that colour healing was very much a part of the ancient customs and teachings of the American Indians, Egyptians, Indians and Chinese added even more interest for me.
I can relate to the theory of the color healing because in the summer time when all the flowers are in bloom and the sun is out humans feel good.
S.A.D (Seasonal affective disorder) is suffered by many in the winter dark months, when...

900 Ink compatibles value for money
Review of Epson Stylus Color 900N by
soothsayer
Advantages: Cheap, reliable and lasts a long time
Disadvantages: limited suppliers
...I changed to an Epson 900 about 5 months ago and happened to meet a friend who told me about compatible inks.
My post is really about my experience with the inks I use in my 900
I have used compats before, but suffered a bad experience with them, so converted back to Epson and always paid the Epson full prices.
So when I was told about Jet Tec and they cost just £9 for 3 mono or £10 for a colour and mono, i knew i was dealing with some crappy ink compats and they would probably screw my 900 up.
One day when desperate, i inserted a Jet Tec colour which was given to me as a free sample but never used.
Now I use nothing else....they are very, very good value for money, and last even longer than the Epson genuine inks. More importantly they have never let me down, and always produce great quality printing.
Does anyone know...

THE COMPATIBLE MACHINE.
Review of Sony VAIO SZ3XWP/C - Core 2 Duo T7200 2 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
packerlist
Advantages: : SLIM, LIGHT WEIGHT, LONG BATTERY LIFE AND FAST IN BOOTING.
Disadvantages: TECHIES SOME TIMES CONFUSING.
...hand while taken about.
Right form time black has been my favourite colour so I went for black in the real sense and I like its black colour polished. I bought this for more than two weeks ago and I would have written a review for long but some thing drew me back so I delayed it. Its key boards is superb and very comfortable to press on with a rubber plastic like will I say that both of them are mixed together and I like the recent lap top innovations in terms of their soft key boards that is even good to touch and the most important features with the buttons is that it does not cause finger injuries.
The Sony viao is a compatible machine with a 13.3 wide screen display, which is an active matrix, what an intelligent mobile design that is good for Sony.
The revolutionary hybrid graphics of the Sony viao has...

First prize goes to Vital Colours!
Review of Schwarzkopf Vital Colours Permanent Crème Colourant by
annakalinski
Advantages: Cheap, easy, no stink, natural colour
Disadvantages: none.
...Well. I've had a right time of it hair wise. They discontinued my wonderful country colours in "highlands", a chestnut brown that was chestnut BROWN. Not purple, mahogany, red, black.... but rich brown.
I used 'virginia' by Recital. It looked okay i thought. When i used it, as well as making me wonder if there'd been a Gas attack nearby, then realising that it was the ammonia in the dye, my hair came out chestnut red. Still choking back the fumes from this monsterous dye, the mirror revealed white skin, black eyes. bright red hair. Goddamn i looked good. Not. it's expensive too if you need two boxes, as i do with my big "julia roberts in pretty woman" hair....:)
In order to rectify this I decided to use Herbal essences in "rich brown". Oh my life, is it a prerequisite for you to be colour blind, i wondered, in order for you...

Colour me any colour you like
Review of L'Oreal Excellence Revitalising Crème Colourant by
veramck
Advantages: easy to apply, covers grey hair very well
Disadvantages: none
...At the grand old age of 38 I can no longer hid the fact that I am going grey and not just the odd strand of hair but at a very fast rate, so being the vain person that I am I had to find something that would disguise the grey hair and let me keep on pretending to be 21!!
After trial and error with many products, including some which turned my hair bright orange I have at last found a product that is easy to apply and does what it is supposed to. This product is L'Oreal Excellence Creme Revitalising.
My hair is about shoulder length and very thick, the problem I found with other products was that they did not cover grey hair, apparently grey hair is much coarser than normal hair and does not absorb colours very well. The instructions with L'Oreal state that if you have grey hair you should leave the colour on for a little longer...

COLOUR PROTECT OR COLOUR PREVENT
Review of L'Oreal Colour Protect Conditioner by
blurbubble
Advantages: Feels nice, leaves hair shiny, good price
Disadvantages: Not sure about the colour protection?!
...of information contained on the label. I bought mine on special offer – buy one get one free for just £2.19 from my local Tesco so it is not a bad price for a 300ml bottle.
As for its effectiveness well, obviously we haven’t yet had any very hot sun-glaring weather in the UK yet this year so it’s hard to say from that point of view!! As far as sealing in any existing colour goes this does not appear to be any better (or worse) than any average conditioner available for a cheaper price. I found the shampoo sent the colour flooding out of my hair and the conditioner did not seem to do much of a job in conserving it for the next wash either. To be fair on the product my hair currently has a bright, semi-permanent scarlet colour in it which is supposed to fade each wash anyway but I was hoping these products would help slow that process down and so...
