Epson Stylus DX4050
Review of Epson Stylus DX4050 by  markyeadon

Advantages: Easy to use, cheap and good quality printing
Disadvantages: Does use quite a lot of ink whilst printing

...and intuitive so after very little use you can knock out copies without any issues. You can also choose to vary the quality and colour settings direct on the unit, so overall it does its job very well in this department. ~~~~ Overall ~~~~ Again Epson have done a good job with the DX4050 printer. It's scans and prints relatively quickly as well. The quality is good and it is clear and simple to use. Unfortunately it has the same achilles heel as its large brother the DX6000, and that is the heavy ink use. After scanning and printing a few full A4 pages the ink was already beginning to shoot down, and very quickly you seem to have run out of ink. Now this wouldn't be too bad if I was using compatible cartridges, but with Epson originals you are looking at £7 per cartridge this can mount up. Although it is slower than a lot of printers... Makes My Stylus, Stylish!
Review of Epson Multipack T0715 - print cartridge by  shaaza

Advantages: last long, can be bought from many electrical shops, uses Durabrite ultra Ink
Disadvantages: a bit expensive when outght as a multi pack

...We just recently bought a new Epson stylus DX7400 printer as our old one stopped printing for some reason. Our new printer takes the T series Epson ink. To make everything a bit easier we just bought a T0715 multi pack ink package which comes with four ink cartridges. The T0715 can also be used with other Epson stylus models including the DX4450, DX4000, DX9400F, DX4050 etc. The Epson T0715 will come with four colour ink cartridges. This includes the T0711 which is the black ink, T0712 which is the cyan colour, T0713 which is the magenta colour and T0714 which is the yellow colour. The Epson T0715 multi pack is rather expensive as we bought it for £29.99 in PC world, I guess its not that expensive if you divide that by four, as it will work out to be around £7.50 per cartridge, which I think is not too bad considering the quality... Why buy an Epson cartridge over a cheaper make?
Review of Epson T036 - print cartridge by  Liney_1973

Advantages: Great print quality from this cartridge.
Disadvantages: Can be pricey depending where you buy it from.

...The T036 black ink cartridge is suitable for the following printer models (all Epson of course): Epson Stylus C42 Plus (this is my model)/C42S/C42SX/C42UX/C44 PLUS/C44UX. My black ink cartridge ran out and I went to my local Rymans to buy another. It cost £17.99 from that particular store but I know you can purchase it much cheaper (for as little as £3) if you shop around. I got home and followed the on screen instructions for changing the cartridge. They were really straightforward, it tells you how & when to remove the old cartridge, when to remove the new one from it's protective plastic packaging (taking care not to touch the little electronic chip on the side), when to remove the yellow tab that is attached to the cartridge and how to insert it. Et voila job done in a jiffy! The quality of the black ink once printed onto... Read review

Roger Me Stupid, Cheap Inkjet Cartridges
Review of Inkrite Inks for Epson - print cartridge by  Champ666

Advantages: Cheap and Just As Good As Epson
Disadvantages: May Affect waranty

...just slot them into the required slot and you are away. The ink level meters work as well as ever but it is noted that you are not using an Epson cartridge which could affect your warranty. Comparing these babies against the Epson, by printing out a photograph I previously printed using Epson cartridges I can see no visible difference in quality, and there is the same lack of smudging. My only concern being now how long they last when compared to Epson cartridges...... That was easily tested by printing out a copy of my 130 page thesis that my former boss and now emeritus pain in the backside professor wanted a copy of. This takes up about 2/3 of most of the cartridges which was about the same as the Epson printers. So I can safely say that they are an absolute bargain, as they do the same job for half the price. The only downside... Read review

Epson Especial
Review of Epson T0453 - print cartridge by  trevorbrock

Advantages: High quality, lasting images
Disadvantages: Cost

...An ink cartridge is not really something to wax lyrical about is it? This magenta is designed for a few Epson printers, and I use it for my Epson Stylus C84. Sorry Epson, but I use compatibles from time to time, which do the donkey work perfectly well, much cheaper. I can have a compatible from Jettec for £4 while I pay about £7.99 in PCW for the real thing from Epson. Having said that, I recognize the quality of Epson and like to use one of their own brands every so often. They are readily available, easy to insert, prevent irritating messages - like "the cartridge you are using is not a genuine Epson T0453 - do you wish to continue using it ?", and always work well. Colours are very sharp, the ink dries instantly and never seems to fade. But they do not last as long as Jettec - which have an extra 30% as well... Read review

Epson RX585 do we really need 6 cartridges?
Review of Epson RX585 by  michaleks

Advantages: All in one, easy to use, looks nice
Disadvantages: 6 cartridges that run out too often

...I bought this Epson RX585 printer as a replacement of two other printers that I owned HP and older Canon. These days there are plenty of cheap printers on the market, however I did not want to follow "pay peanuts, get monkeys", so I decided to buy something for a bit more reasonable price to ensure better quality. I have also compared Epson prices for its cartridges with other printer manufacturers and found Epson was cheaper. The whole printer is easy to set up, good software for printing, scanning, easy to use. I use it mostly for printing documents, scanning, copying, tried once to print photos. I am quite happy with speed printing, could be a bit quieter on fast track mode. It copies documents with use of the scanner and single button in main menu. This is not very fast method of copying. I have not use it too much... Read review

Uses Epson C66 ink cartridges
Review of Epson Stylus D68 Photo Edition by  chewyleopard

Advantages: Cheap to buy, Cheap running costs, Good print Quality
Disadvantages: No good for printing on gloss paper

...I bought this printer because my Epson C66 died I paid £43 from ebuyer.com okay it doen't come with a usb cable but most printers don't and you can purchase them from as little as a £1 the D68 is just a C66 with a face lift it the print quality is very good not photo perfect one thing that should be noted is that if you planning to print on gloss paper get Epson R220 or above as when printing on gloss it tends bleed and run but it's very good on photo matt the build quality seems to be as good as the C66 I used about 70 sets of cartridges on my old C66 all none originals except the set that came with it another thing that I really like about this printer is thatthey take the C66 cartridges which are cheaper that buying the D68 cartridges even the compatable ones obviously Epson just change the part numbers to fool people into buying... Epson C40, it prints and its cheap..
Review of Epson Stylus C40UX by  GR-Design

Advantages: cheap, reliable, cheap catridges
Disadvantages: noisy!

...I’ve never been a fan of Epsons myself. I’ve always much preferred Hewlett Packards, simply because of their reliability, but it was when looking out of a printer for a friend of mine, who really doesn’t know that much about computers that I came across the Epson Stylus C40. All the friend wanted was a printer that was colour, held two cartridges (colour and black) and was cheap…oh and of course, a printer that printed! The Epson simply looked at me on Amazon and cried out to be bought, because it had all that and was under £50! Taking delivery of the box, I was really concerned about how small the box was, but that was due to good packaging, from both Amazon and Epson themselves. The printer is packed up in a neat little box, and unlike many other products, doesn’t have extra packaging where it... Read review

HP45 Print Cartridge
Review of HP 45 - print cartridge by  richard_richard

Advantages: Print quality, ease of use
Disadvantages: Too expensive

.... This strip keeps the cartridge from leaking in transit and also from drying out. I do have a word of warning about these cartridges. Once this plastic strip is removed you must put the cartridge straight into the printer, if you leave it lying around for a couple of days it will dry out and be completely useless! The cartridge fits into the printer quite easily, once you know what you are doing. These cartridges should slot into the appropriate holder inside the printer, making sure the cartridge is placed the correct way in, with the ink side facing downwards! I can’t say that I have any particular problems with the reliability or life span of these print cartridges. They seem to last for a decent amount of time, providing you are not printing entire pages in blank ink or something like that! I have heard that sometimes these cartridges... Read review

EPSON EPL6200-A tough competitor in laser printing
Review of Epson EPL 6200 by  gusgusrule

Advantages: Fast, excellent quality, relatively cheap to buy
Disadvantages: Bland design, high cost of consumables

...first things first, why Epson? ----------------- Why Epson? ----------------- Epson for me represent a market leader in the printing industry, they compete with companies such as HP, Canon and Lexmark. But what I like about Epson inparticular is that they are specialists in their field, instead of companies like HP which have diversified to some extent and now make computers, Epson have stuck to what they're good at, making printers and scanners and other imaging products. Epson have a really good reputation and all of my epson printers have been reliable, I've never had any troubles with them. But its not only the laser printers I'm impressed with, in terms of inkjet printers the printing quality is excellent and the printers themselves are relatively cheap, as are the cartridges, as opposed to HP and Lexmark which give you a new...
