...FEATURES Well to be honest I’m not the biggest fan of the T series industrial design, however it is a satisfactory model and I would ultimately recommend it to general photographers. The model I bought was the silver model which was basically brushed metal, measuring 3.5 x 2.25 x 87 (WHD in inches) and weighing 6 ounces (170.09 grams) with the battery and the memory stick. At the front of the model, there is a subtle branding which isn’t too eye catching or overwhelming and generally fits with the overall style of the camera. The colours available are, silver, red and black. If you slide the front panel of the camera down you will notice that the camera will power up and you will see a flash, the lens and mic and AF Illuminator sensor. .... Weight: 141g Batteries: Lithium ion. Battery and charger supplied. I'd say it takes about 100 pictures per charge, though this could vary with how much you fiddle with the camera in between. ...On paper, this was the camera I wanted. Here were my criteria: (1) Shirt-pocket size. I was sick of subconsciously deciding NOT to take a camera along because I didn't want to lug about a bag of camera-plus-accessories-plus-adapter-plus-plus-plus. I wanted something small and self-contained that I'd get used to carrying with me all the time. The DSC-T100 is about the size of a deck of standard playing cards. (2) More than 3x optical zoom. I've had 3x cameras (too little zoom). I have a 22x video cam (too much zoom, at least for my shaky limbs). Something in between is the ticket. This camera is 5x. (3) High but not necessarily state-of-the-art number of pixels. This camera is 8.1 megapixels. (4) BIG LCD screen. As big as possible. This camera is 3" diagonally. .... Overall, the camera's photos look pretty good and clear. As with the They're softer than the previous generation's--notably the T100--and than some of the competition's, due to what looks like more aggressive noise reduction.
