My son had started to show a great interest in how a mouse can be used to operate the computer but I found that due to the size of our regular mouse he had difficulty holding it properly to enable good use of the buttons. Good, but not great, like the first two films

Advantages: Good action, fast paced, mildly entertaining
Disadvantages: a parody of the first two films, nothing original, poor characters

...Rise of the Machines was a disappointing effort, in the context of the first two movies in the franchise which were both excellent. T3 has its moments, there are some very well put together action sequences, and its a fast paced film in general. Nick Stahl is a great actor, but he was mis-cast as John Connor. Claire Danes as his "sidekick" was equally forgettable. Its virtually impossible to care about these characters. The "Termanatrix" isn't a patch on Robert Patrick as the T-1000, or the menacing T-800 in the first movie. Arnie, God Bless Him, isn't very convincing as the now pensionable Terminator, the character has changed beyond recognition since the first film. The whole thing feels like a rehash, or parody of the first two, there are no new ideas, nothing we haven't seen before, or seen done better in previous instalments...

Advantages: Its the best Terminator film in my opinion

While not as climatic as the original Terminator, this second instalment gets a huge injection of Hollywood and provides basically everything you've ever wanted from a sci-fi film, including some of the best special effects seen at the time.
