...Right now at the carphone warehouse, you can get the Ericsson T28s for £49.99 including free connection. The best thing is, you get £50 cashback for the phone and 3 month's free line rental when you connect to a BT-CELLNET or VODAFONE pay-monthly tariff via a redemption form. The BT-CELLNET tariff prices start from £12.99 a month and go up to £40 a month. So basically, u get a free Ericsson T28s, with free connection and 3 months free line rental. This offer is available in carphone warehouse stores or over the carphone warehouse direct sales line. It is by far a better deal than the one on the website, plus you get a 3 year warranty on the phone. The phone has excellent features and is an excellent size, main features including voice dialling, ringtone composer and vibration alert. Oh, and Tetris !!!...
...I upgrade from the T10 to the new supposedly "amazing" T28. When I first got this phone, I thought this phone was the bomb. This phone had all the best features I had ever seen. The menus were on a par with the superb Nokia system, the featurse were amazing and tetris just went without saying! The active sprung loaded flip didn't just look good, but it also served the purpose of answering and ending calls superbly. But after the first month it went downhill.... The flipo started to refuse to stay shut, then the aerial decided to come loose, folowed by the earpiece refusing to work and then the aerial finally fell off. All this happened just from normal day to day use.
My only good point about about this is how efficien their customer services were....
Advantages: Small, light, take it anywhere and forget about it. Disadvantages: Mildly slow menues. Radiation levels.
...I own a T28 and love it to death. It is small enough to fit inside my trouser pocket and forget about it - I dont know it's there. It doesn't even make my pocket bulge or anything. I can really carry the phone around with me without having to think about it. I see all these people everywhere carrying their mobile phones in their hand because they are too big and bulky to put inside your pocket - this is not the care with the T28. Your current phone may be small and light, but if it has a vibration alert feature, what's the point of having it if you're going to leave it in your bag because it's too big to put in your trouser pocket???
The phone weighs only 83gramms, and I have found that I can get 2hours talk time out of it or 60 hours on standby. I use my phone regularly, but for only a few minutes at a time, and find that I can go...

Review of Sony Ericsson T28S
Advantages: Size, vibrate alert Disadvantages: Battery life
...I recently bought a T28s on Orange Everyday 50. The phone itself is wicked, as i'm sure you know! It's smakk, it's light, it's got more than enough functions and best still, it's now available for free!!! If you're prepared to get the phone contracted with Vodaphone or Orange, mail-order companies are now doing the phone for free. This is the route i took and the phone was delivered at my home 17 hours after i placed the order - efficiency or what!
As a student, the best feature is the vibrate alert because i don't have to worry about putting the phone on silent before each lecture. I generally just leave it on silent and you'll know if someone's calling you because the vibrations are quite strong. It's the only phone with the game Tetris if you like the games! One other very useful feature is the fact that at any time, you can scroll...

Review of Sony Ericsson T28S
Advantages: Small, Portable, Battery Life Disadvantages: Unreliable, Fiddly
...An update a year later. The handset microphone and handfree has stopped working on my third handset, this seems to be a common fault. 14 months on, the handset is fiddly you can't switch the phone on and off without flipping the lid, which makes it difficult to operate with one hand. The use of it is non intuitive, somehow more difficult than a Nokia.
I hate my T28 and can't wait for a change, I don't think I'll ever buy a flip again. Lesson learnt.
Also, many of these faults are know, so who's lying to you when you buy one?
I'm on my third T28s handset in 2 weeks. The first two both failed in the middle of a call and wouldn't power up again (It's not the batteries!)
The shop replaced them for a new T28 both times. The shop claimed both times "they've never seen anything like this before", except there was another customer...

Review of Sony Ericsson T28S
Advantages: just a superb phone Disadvantages: nothing worth mentioning
...This phone is brilliant.
Right from the off, it will satisfy your needs from a phone and constantly surprise you with nice features.
Lets start with the fun. You get two games.."only two", I hear you moan...oh but what 2 games to choose, Solitare (patience to some of you) and tetris. These two games are addictive and you will wonder what you ever did on those long bus journeys home.
It has voice activated dialing, which you may say you won't use, but wait. If you record the key you will use for the voice dailing, when that number rings you it plays it to tell you who is ringing you before it begins the ring tone. How impressed will your friends be when they here "Dave's Mobile" before the phone even starts ringing.
There is of course a veritable feast of ring tones, not to mention some slots to record you own in. there are...

Review of Sony Ericsson T28S
Advantages: Small, Sleak, Quick to Charge, Stores 200 numbers and looks good Disadvantages: The Aerial is big but thats about it.
...When I first took this beautiful phone out of its packaging it dawned on me how nice looking this phone actually was. It has a very masculine feel to it especially compared to the Nokia phones of this calibre. The phone itself is light and it weighs out at around 80 grams which by anyones standards isn't a lot. The screen cannot be easily broken like a lot of its rivals as it is not flat with the phone but slightly sunken in to give it more durability. The phone has a vibrate function which can be easily felt so if you are somewhere too noisy to hear your phone you can take that important call. It has voice dialing for easier calling; it has games including the very addictive Tetris that everyone loves. The phone has a nice little function, which shows exactly how much stand by time and talk time you have left. It stores 200...

Review of Sony Ericsson T28S
Advantages: small and light, voice activated calls Disadvantages: big aerial, the flip can get in the way
...This phone was my second one, I?m really not sure how much it costs as I got mine free with a contract.
It is really light about 60 grams. It comes in a few colours, grey, beige, and fern green. It has a great design although the flip can get in the way. And it has a huge aerial.
It has a standby time of about 180 minuites which isnt very long, i'm not sure how long the talktime is.
The one thing that bugged me was it was so unreliable, you could be having a conversation or halfway through texting someone when it would just turn off. The worst I experienced is while phoning someone I could hear them but I couldn?t be heard.
Even though its screen was only a thin slit it had 2 pretty cool games on it. Tetris, as we all know I don?t need to explain. While the Tetris game was good you had to hold the phone sideways and the corner...

Review of Sony Ericsson T28S
Advantages: Makes you look good Disadvantages: Reception
...the aerial does look out of place. It's nearly as big as the phone!!!
I have had problems with the programming of the phone, ie. the software that makes the phone work. Accessing the phone book on numerous occasions has caused it to freeze and only to be restored by taking the battery out. (A bit like Windows 98!!!) The only way to resolve this problem is to get the latest software re-programmed into the phone. I got this done at the Carphone Warehouse, and it has worked much better.
Another problem is it ain't a Nokia, I can't download nice little pictures and ring-tones off the internet. Since then I have updated to a Nokia. But if you want to give the T28 a Nokia feel then you can recieve a message report when a text has been sent. All you need to do is type in the code *0# at the beginning of the message and continue writing.
Have fun...

Review of Sony Ericsson T28S
Advantages: Very small & light, packed with features but easy to use Disadvantages: Various scares over radiation and bugs
...Despite the recent scares over the high levels of radiation emitted by the T28, it remains a popular phone for a number of reasons. The most obvious attraction of the T28 is its size and weight. Measuring a slim 3in x 1in x 1/3in and weighing in at a tiny 40gms, the T28 is (to coin a phrase) small but perfectly formed. However, its size belies its feature packed interior, as it not only come with all the nuts and bolts settings (various tones, user definable sounds and profiles) but also extras (alarm clock, stop watch and countdown timer) and some novel games in the form of Tetris (turn the phone sideways, a brilliant idea) and solitaire (the card game, not the marbles). Perhaps my favourite touch is the Indiglo style backlight, which really does add that touch of class....
