...I have nothing but praise for this little gem. As a student it is ideally suited for those on a budget, the battery life is excellent and it is easy to use.
The fact that this is one of the few flash memory players that works with Napster To Go was the main selling point for me. Making it easy and considerably cheaper to listen to a variety of music each and every day, without the need to repeatedly listen to the same album (like i used to with my CD player).
Using the T30 Mp3 player in conjunction with Napster has broadened my mind when it comes to music and increased the number of hours i spend listening to music.
The T30 is easy to use, comprising of only 6 buttons it is easy to navigate the menus, skip forward and back and change the volume. After only a few days of use you negate the need to look at the symbols...

Advantages: Anti Blur, Compact, Large Rear Screen Disadvantages: Needs a large memorystick
...I have had the DCS p12 and now the T30 black. I have to say the the T30 is a vast improvement, especially start up and picture taking time there are few cameras on the market that compare. Both cameras are very similar in features (both have the same settings for presets such as low light and, snow etc.
The optical and digital zoom is adequate, with 7.2 mega pixels is great for anyone other than the professional photographer, however one minor problem is the need to purchase a large memorystick probably at least 1gb this stores about 300 photos at 7.2 mega pixels. Battery life is adequate (400 pictures+) and much better than previous models. The camera is fairly expensive (see sony.co.uk) for further details.
The camera also has anti blur technology which combined with the addition of the pre set filters which work superbly...

Advantages: Small and Lightweight, Holds good number of songs... Disadvantages: Tracks can 'jump at times.
...The Iriver is a nice little machine, especially if you're new to the world of MP3ism, as it is easy to use, and the software is a doddle (all the software that you need really, is Windows Media Player 10 at least).
What's the device's song capacity?
The device's song capacity isn't huge, nothing compared to the more expensive models like Creative or Ipods, but it's a cheaper alternative, ranging at n average price of £40 (about 80 or so dollars). However, the amount of songs it stores is exceptional, asI have currently about 80 or so songs, and have room for a good number more.
How fast do tracks transfer to the device?
Pretty quickly, but, again, not as quickly as a song would transfer to an Ipod or a device by Creative Labs-however, it still barely takes 5 seconds for a song to be put onto the T30 (depending on what program you...

Advantages: The most flexible and powerfull laptop out there Disadvantages: the price
...I wish Santa would have left that little toy under the tree but no luck, maybe next year.
IBM as made a name for itself in the laptop insdustry for leading the pack. Their machines are all work, no fun though, which as made them a favorite for business users.
The Thinkpads T30s are IBM Thin-and-light series which is supposed to be a compromise between power and portability. Well in fact the only limit to the power you can have in this little thing is how deep your wallet is. the prices range from a 1500 L to 3500 L.
the difference is mainly the hard drive, the screen definition either 1400x1050 or 1024x768 (all models are 14.1" by the way) and the options (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, CD/DVD writer combo, ibm security chip) all in all in a neat little package of 2.5 Kg.
the top models are powered by an ATI Radeon 7500 with 16 Mb...

Advantages: Slim, very light, IBM cachet, good screen, fantastic keyboard Disadvantages: Build quality perhaps, ticking hard drive
...OK, as I write this, the T42 already has its successors in the T43 and T60 which are in all likelihood higher spec machines, but the T42 has a lot of bang for the money.
First off, as a normal user, the 1.7GHz P-M processor is more than adequate, being equivalent to something close to the Pentium 4 3.0GHz and therefore on par with the desktops of the common people. Being an IBM, you may also choose to have a port replicator which would allow you to just slot your machine in at home and not having to worry about connecting wires etc and you can enjoy more "desktop-like" features, such as possibly a bigger screen, a mouse etc.
Amongst other good features, you enjoy a 512MB in-built DDR memory, which is enough for most daily uses and can be upgraded to a whopping 2GB. The only gripe I have with this is that to get to 2GB would entail...
