Saloon - Front (FWD) - 4 Speed Geartronic Automatic Gearbox - 2922 cc - Max Speed: 155 mph - 272 bhp - Petrol - Available Trims: SE Lux, Executive (On Ciao since: 10/2005)
Advantages: Most stylish 4X4, hugely roomy, very comfortable, good value for money Disadvantages: Expensive second hand, needs bigger engine, may not fit your garage
...........
......The one we are driving is the top of the range 2.9 litre T6 Executive. Under the bonnet is Volvo's most powerful engine mated to a very good Tiptronic style automatic gearbox, they actually call it "Geartronic" but anyone used to driving a VW / Audi style "Tiptronic" automatic will find it very familiar.
For those not familiar with either, probably a brief explanation of this very intuitive system is in order. Between the seats where a proper gear lever should sit, there is an automatic, "push me pull you" selector lever, which moves through a "gate". Conventionally such a lever moves vertically through a series of, often, stepped positions in order to select the direction of travel or the particular gear you wish to hold, a low gear going down hill for instance. All automatics used to be very much the same format, but lately as...

Review of Volvo XC90
Advantages: Absolutely tiny, great battery life, good sound quality Disadvantages: Quite expensive, poor navigation
...Whilst Apple have just launched the iPod Nano, other companies have been creating miniscule players for quite some time now. The Samsung YEPP YP-T6 range being probably the smallest of the lot.
Unlike the iPod Nano, the YEPP features purely on being a music player. There are no fancy features like calendars, or games or organisers. This little device just plays music, plays the radio, and records your voice, and it does it all extremely well.
The integrated FM tuner is of excellent quality. It features a search to find active radio stations, or you can manually adjust the frequency as necessary. Unfortunately, I haven't had great luck with the auto search, and found that it skipped quite a few radio stations, which is unfortunate.
Voice recording functions are perfectly adequate, and there's very little say about it, other than...
Advantages: stylish and funky, the design is simple and easy to use .....*****joystick**** Disadvantages: it has been outdated
...When I was looking things to sell in an auction site, I stumbled upon my old Sony Ericsson T610. I opened the box and there sat the old mobile phone. I tried moving my hands over them and that a lot of experiences have been kept in my mobile phone. Personally since the time that I could afford buying mobile phones I went for the Nokia brand but things changed when I went for my first Sony Ericsson phone. I could still remember my satisfaction then.
I do not regret though that I parted ways with my T610 I know that the new owner would be glad having it.
So what did T610 possessed?
General Description:
The mobile phone that I acquired some years back was on a contract...pay monthly but do not be saddened because you could have the mobile phone then up until now as a pay as you go. The casing was silver for the one that I bought but...

Review of Sony Ericsson T610
Advantages: It's a car with four wheels!! Disadvantages: No feel about it - silly card key
...Renault's are a source of arguement for my husband and I!! My husband used to be a part's manager for a local Renault dealer, but he didn't drive, so his love is based on his experience in this job as opposed to being a driver!! Me, I'm an ex-copper, driven loads of cars and vans and must say I am unimpressed and do not like Renaults much at all. So every time it comes to cars, my husband and I argue.
Our current Laguna, the saloon 1.9dCI is our second one. Not through my choice - this one is my husband's company car. The first we got because he had always dreamed of getting a laguana. By the time we had had that for a couple of months, and he was given the option of a company car I tried to talk him into anything else other than a Renault, let alone a Laguna, but he wouldn't have it.
Even if he wasn't6'6", there is no way...
...to get hold of one for less than £10 and it was really simple to replace.
Unlike other phones that you have to send off, if you get the new screen, you can walk into halford's or wickes and get a T6 screwdriver and you can replace it yourself. Saving you lots of money, for 10 minutes work...
Advantages: Fast paced Disadvantages: last 50 or so pages
...'The Lost Symbol is the latest offering from Dan Brown featuring Harvard Symbologist Robert Langdon and like all avid readers of his work I was looking forward to reading the book.
-
At6am on a Sunday morning Robert Langdon receives a message from his mentor and friend, prominent 33rd Degree Mason Peter Solomon, to conduct a lecture in Washington?s Capitol Building and not wanting to let his friend down Langdon agrees to go and sets off for the airport where Peter?s private jet is waiting for him. However on arrival at the Rotunda area within the Capitol Building, something strikes Langdon as odd, there is nobody waiting there for the lecture. Believing he is in the wrong building Langdon is set to walk about but is interrupted by a commotion, on looking on what the problem is, it seems that somebody has left a strategically...
Advantages: First game to incoperate real band music Disadvantages: causes much stress when you fail licence by 0.02 seconds (again)
...when this game first came out it was one of the biggest hits on the playstation. this is well justified as the fabulous graphics and the wide selection of cars meant it became an instant favorite. It was the first game that actually made the player work to be able to compete. This added the element of achievement, as you have to learn to become a competent racer, rather than a rough driver in order to achieve the licences and become eligable to race. t6his is a game to challenge all and is only beaten in style and game play by his recent sequel, Gran Tourismo 2!...
Advantages: Stylish, impressive and a great drinks list Disadvantages: Some of the guest
...The Blue Bar is a London institution that really is worthy of the acclaim it regularly receives.
Within the impressive Berkeley Hotel and situated in the best part of Knightsbridge, the location is convenient for after work drinks or even for a late evening post-theatre/dinner stop-off on the way home.
Designed by David Collins (the man behind the design of top bars and restaurants including The Wolseley), the style is akin to something one would imagine to be found on 1930s ocean-liner and the crocodile skin floor and stylish (yet somewhat uncomfortable) furniture do make for a special atmosphere.
The drinks list is expensive yet impressive with drinks starting at around £9 for a G&T and £6 for a beer but it is cocktails where this bar excels. All the usual classics are accompanied by some Blue Bar specials.
Food is not...

Review of Blue Bar (London)
Advantages: Very different from the usual pop dross. Disadvantages: None really.
..., lots of electronic noises and whistles over a ditinctly dub backing, mmmm, won't be to everyones taste, but experimentally fab. 7/10.
6 My Superman.
I wonder if this is a tribute to Laurie Anderson, it mentions this on iTunes, not sure myself. Much more languid as a song, almost tortuous, I quite like that. 8/10.
7 Lights Out.
I absolutely love this track, without a doubt for me a real winner. Initilly i put in a punk playlist, then moved it to new wave, then to electronic, finally in my 'haapy days' playlist. It absolutely defies any genre. Silky voice with an edge (if that is not a paradox) new wave backing, punky slow guitar, heavy drum n bass. Then in the middle she sings in a completely different way. This for me is the song of the year so far. 10/10.
8 Starstruck.
Another Hazel O'Connor esque offering, full...
