T630 - (Nearly) The Best Mobile I've Ever Owned
Review of Sony Ericsson T630 by
MotionBlur
Advantages: Nice Size, Good Colour Screen, Good Battery Life, Large Userbase
Disadvantages: Volume Could Be Higher, No Data Cable Supplied
...OK - my first review on Ciao, I hope you find it helpful !
I recentely decided to upgrade my mobile handset, as I had not used my O2 yearly upgrade for at least 2 years. My old phone is an Ericsson T68, which although looking a bit dated now, I bought really for its bluetooth capabilities (I own an Ipaq, and like to be able to connect to the net for e-mails/web browsing wherever I am).
I was not entirely convinced I needed a new handset, as the T68 ws doing everything I needed just fine...well, thats what I thought.
After a good bit of research, and looking at friends/family's mobiles, I decided to go for the T630...my brother has the clamshell T600 version, and although its a nice enough phone, the clamshell "bulk" was too much in my opinion...he always looks like he is a "little to pleased to see you" when he walks into the pub...

SE T630 (T-Mobile Branded)
Review of Sony Ericsson T630 by
theman_uk_2k
Advantages: smart looking, feature packed
Disadvantages: small memory
...I must confess I am a fan of Sony Ericsson phones. Having previously owned a T300 the only thing i could ever think of upgrading to was a new Sony Ericsson. So that's what I did. I liked the build quality of the T300 and i'm not disappointed with the T630 either.
APPEARANCE
To start off with, the phone looks very sleek. In contrast to the T610 which i think looks a bit clunky. At the moment at least is it available in only white or black. The buttons are very close together but i don't find this a problem when sending text messages. The buttons also a bit larger than some of the Nokias out these days.
And of course there is the Sony Ericsson joystick! It's a love it or hate it feature. And i love it. I think having a joystick is much better than scroll buttons for navigating menus, but i've heard some people say they prefer...

T630's everywhere I look
Review of Sony Ericsson T630 by
Rob664
Advantages: Stylish, good looking, talk time
Disadvantages: Scratches easily, tiny buttons
...T630's T630's everywhere I look I see T630's. It sounds like a nightmare but its actually a reality. Arrgh how popular can one phone be!! OK maybe Ive gone a bit overboard but seriously not a phone to buy if you want to be unique. Well at least thats the case for all the towns I visit. Saying that however, the sheer number of T630's around shows what a good phone it is.
The phone itself is one of the most stylish around, it is a good size and weight fitting in any pocket without creating unwanted bulges!! It has all the same features as the T610 with a few extre as well.
The specific specifications are:
Size (in mm) 44 x 102 x 19
Weight 95g
Battery Talktime 14 hrs
Battery Standby Time 315 hrs
Charge Time 2 hrs
One really good feature of the phone is its talktime. When not playing the games I charge the phone...

T630 - Great Phone, VERY smart looking!
Review of Sony Ericsson T630 by
riced_cars
Advantages: Design, Bluetooth, Voice Control, Personalisation
Disadvantages: Camera, Limited Memory, Slow to Text With, Unremovable Cover
...After having my old phone, the Nokia 6610 stolen, I ofcourse needed a new phone and after looking through the rather bizarre-looking selection of new Nokia handsets available, I settled for the Sony Ericsson T630.
DESIGN
The phone is white, with grey sides. This gives it a rather classical, "clean" look which I like. I think it somehow reflects on Ericsson's Swedish roots! The buttons are close together and have little bumps on top of them, which makes it easier to dial/text for those with larger fingers. There is a d-pad (directional controller) that goes up, down, left, right, and, "in". There is also a button on the left side for the camera, and two volume buttons. On the right side, there is an "Online" button to use for WAP/GPRS. Turn the phone over, and it looks just like a camera, which looks very cool.
You can either...

The Sony Ericsson T630 is overrated...
Review of Sony Ericsson T630 by
lizzie_haycocks
Advantages: Nice look, Good size, Bluetooth Connectivity
Disadvantages: Battery life, ringtones, texting speed...
...I waited a long time for this phone and having seen its stylish white exterior I thought its minimal ipod looks were pretty enviable. Unfortunately I was sent its ugly brother-the T630 in black. Its exactly the same phone and the size and looks aren't bad but in black, its highly business-like, slightly manly and quite frankly nothing out of the ordinary.
The good features of this phone...well I can't think of that many aside from the stylish white model. In black its a disappointment and I think the advertising campaign was over-hyped.
The backgrounds are limited (obviously its a colour model with a camera, bluetooth connectivity and polyphonic ringtones!) but can be downloaded. Its also irritating that the screen-saver is overrided by the clock which means that you don't know if you've received a message unless you're there when...

T630 - For life? Or just for now....?
Review of Sony Ericsson T630 by
hollysmummy
Advantages: Fantastic Screen, Easy to Navigate, Looks good!
Disadvantages: IR a bit useless, Camera a bit slow...
...I've had my t630 for just over 6 months and now it's on it's way to a new owner. The reason? I'm just too fickle with my phones, and where I fell in love with this last Xmas, I'm now firmly ensconsed in a love affair with a Nokia 7610!
That in no way detracts from the benefits of this phone however. It's small, light, the battery lasts for ages (days and days sometimes!) and it just generally looks good. I personally think that it's a definite improvement on it's little brother, the t610, and should really be considered if you're looking into a new phone. Especially since they're now mostly free on many networks and tariffs.
The screen is up there with the best of them. Obviously you don't have the size of screen that you might have with say a P900, or a 6600, but it's a diddy phone. Thats the way it goes! The colours are great...

T-Mobile T630: Who's The 610 In The Black?
Review of Sony Ericsson T630 by
barondesade
Advantages: user friendly, handy joystick, vibrant screen, looks good
Disadvantages: weak volume, limited games selection, rather basic features
...It's a frustrating business being a potless technophile. While reading 'Stuff' magazine each month, with its glossy pages of shiny new phones, I have to have a washing up bowl on my lap just to catch the drool cascading from my mouth. As a soon-to-be PAYG customer, I shuddered at the thought of having to buy a phone no better than the near useless Siemens S55 I had given up on long ago.
My luck took a turn for the better, however, and I received some cash from the Inland Revenue(yes, it does happen sometimes) and being the magpie that I am, saw this as a perfect time to get a phone that I would not lose my rag with after three months, but with no bills.
After much running around, and gnashing of teeth(my first choice, the Motorola V500 was as rare as the proverbial rocking horse poo) I saw the T630 in Argos and fell in love...

sony ericsson T630
Review of Sony Ericsson T630 by
mikey_2004
Advantages: cool looking, slim, good games, good sound
Disadvantages: easily scratched screen
...i recently recieved this phone as an upgrade for the T630 and i am happy i did.
its an amazing phone with great sound quality and picture quality. the inbuilt camera is functional though not very advanced. bluetooth is manna from heaven and the main reason to buy this phone, as well as infared you will soon find yourself swapping pics and sounds with all your friends, also the ability to record minutes of sound at high quality means that you can record notes to yourself easily.
the one downside to this phone is the setout means the screen is very easy to scratch and after one day in your pocket there will be irrepairable damage done to your screen, also text function is rather complexed.
games include V-rally 2 and mini golf but more can be downloaded from WAP.
with bluetooth you will never be short of tones or pictures...

T630 Review
Review of Sony Ericsson T630 by
danno1986
Advantages: Gorgeous, Styish Design. Easy to Customise.
Disadvantages: Smallish Keys. Camera Is Dissapointing.
...This phone is packed with features, such as the camera, bluetooth, infra red, GPRS, great games, polyphonic ringtones, and the list goes on.
As you can tell from the picture, this phone is stunning to look at. Being a reworked T610 many will be familiar with most of the features and will be able to appreciate how easy this phone is to use.
The main differences between the T630 and its older brother is the 65K TFT display, which is a big improvement on its predecessor.
While i have to admit i really love this phone, (it is by far the best one i've ever had) there are some minor flaws/ annoyances about it.
The phone has a very plasicy feels, which takes some getting used to, but i have to admit i don't mind this so much now. The screen and case seem to scratch very easily compared with my previous mobs, howver this may be due to me...
