...Prior to my summer holiday i decided i wanted to buy myself a camera to take pictures of all the hilarious things that would happen on holiday so off i trundled to my local shopping park. I looked around and thought yes lets go to boots. Boots have one of the widest range of camera's i know off and i was very impressed with their display and their sales reps were very helpful and had good product knowledge. The first question posed to me was do i want a standard 35mm camera or an APS camera? I had decided before i got there on APS as my friend owned one and i thought the features of them were very good and the ability to choose your picture size prior to taking the picture was good. ...I was given my Advantix t700 APS (Advanced Photo System) camera for my birthday. I had particularly wanted this particular camera because it was on special offer in Boots for £62.99 and I knew it was worth £100 as I had seen it in other shops. The reason for this reduction was because they were getting a newer version of the t700 and wanted their old supply sold. The features that initially attracted me were the flip-up flash, the small size and the weatherproof quality. I am planning on travelling the world in my gap year and therefore wanted a camera which is going to withstand different climates and being thrown about in my backpack. ...I bought the Kodak T700 earlier this year. It cost me £100. I wanted a small camera that I could take around with me on holiday. The APS system would make it easy for me to change films, and allow me to frame prints in panoramic, HDTV or standard sizes. It is the smallest zoom camera I have come across, if only a 2.0x zoom. The date and time must be set before using and after replacing the battery. This is quite easy when you get the knack. The only annoying thing that you must alter the date display to the UK standard DD/MM/YY as it defaults on the American MM/DD/YY. The pictures are clear, but I found with the supplied Kodak 400ASA colour film that indoors pictures using flash were slightly dark. This problem was rectified when I switched to Fuji 200ASA colour film. You can compensate for a heavily backlit shot... Read review

...bought a factory outlet in march. very good quality for the price paid. the only problem i found lately is that it keys lock a fair bit while connected to the internet- it may even be a problem with isp connection rather than pc. hasn't crashed- yet!! decent software accompanied windows 98/ works etc. recommend three year garranty just in case though there haven't been any major problems as such. phone line at local rate is available and although it takes a bit time to get through the automated messages the personnel at the other end were very helpful and solved the problems after a 15 minute converstaion. on-site help is available with warranty if required. from what i've heard from friends about other pc as hp for eg i think i've found a much better, more reliable pc in dell...
