Review of Torn Curtain DVD by
anonymili
Advantages: It's Hitchcock
Disadvantages: But not at his best
...Torn Curtain is an Alfred Hitchcock produced and directed film released in 1966 which starred Paul Newman and Julie Andrews as Professor Michael Armstrong and his assistant/fiancé Sarah Sherman with support from Wolfgang Kieling, Lila Kedrova, Hansjorg Felmy, Ludwig Donath, Carolyn Conwell, Gisela Fischer and Gunter Strack.

Toftbo...? strange name for a shower curtain
Review of Ikea Shower Curtain by
mum2natalie
Advantages: Can be put in the washing machine
Disadvantages: it looks so good you'll want to redecorate
...I recently went to Ikea to make a few purchases. One of the things I came home with that wasn't on my original list was this shower curtain.
I 'needed' a new one, wanted one that was macine washable and it had to go with the colour of my bathroom - teracotta.
This one has all three. It was indeed new, I took it out of the packet myself. It is machine washable (see the additional information below) and it has colours that go with my bathroom and also adds a splash of contrasting colour too.
The one thing I didn't notice at the time was that it didn't come with curtain hooks provided. I should have purchased some at the same time but luckily the ones I were already using were clear plastic so I could re-use them for this curtain.
The colours in it are fab. Although my bathroom suite is teracotta with cream flooring...

Curtain lights
Review of Habitat Curtain Lights by
Pictoria
Advantages: Looks aboslutly wonderful
Disadvantages: Tangles very easily when put away
...My mother bought a set of these lights last year from her local Argos store in Doncaster in South Yorkshire.
These lights are extremly beautiful and can enhance the beauty of the home wonderfully over the festive period. Curtain lights are starting to become increasingly popular too as art decor in more modern homes too. I wenr to visit one home and they had them all along the wall of thier dining room and looked quite effective.
One word of warning! Putting these lights away can be a nightmare as they tangle so easily as my poor mother found ouf for herself last year. So if you are planning on buying some of these please take extra care putting them away to hopefully avoid tangling.
Curtain lights are now coming in a few more designs and are also available in a plain white or multi-coloured lighs. They seem...

Curtain Closes On Shady
Review of Curtain Call (Parental Advisory/The Hits) [PA] - Eminem by
rufnek2k4
Advantages: Has some new music inc a nice end-of-career song
Disadvantages: Most of it is old songs (well, it is a greatest hits album)
...We had The Show, we had the Encore, now its time for the Curtain Call. As the expression goes, all great things must come to an end. This is the end of an era for one of rap's, and music's, biggest stars. In my opinion, he was one of the biggest stars of the music industry over the past decade, singing with the likes of Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and also 50 cent. I grew fond of listening to his vocal talents ever since i heard him for the first time ( The Real Slim Shady). Now for the album review.
1 - Intro 6/10
The CD begins with another one of eminems concert style intros. This one has more of a 60's romantic style music, however, nothing special in this.
2 - FACK 8/10
This is one of the few tracks he sang especially for this album. He sings from a mans perspective about having sex with a woman and how he likes to f**k f**k f...

Top of my shops
Review of Top Shop (Shop) by
star333
Advantages: Fashionable clothes
Disadvantages: can be a bit pricey
...what the clothes look like from different angles.
The only thing which i think they should change is the curtain, I think they should have a door there.
~~~~ SIZES~~~~
Top shop has sizes for every body Tall or Petite.
The petite range is designed to fit those who are 5ft 3 or smaller, Petite trousers have a 29inch leg.
The tall range is designed to fit those who are 5ft 8 or taller like me and have a 36inch leg.
~~~~PRICE~~~~~
Some of clothes can be a bit expensive like the new clothes which have just come into the shop.
I think that the jeans are reasonable priced which start from £19.99.
I think the underwear is cheap as well and they have special offers on the underwear buy any 3 for £7.00.
~~~~~THE STORE~~~~~
The store is very clean and tidy and very well laid out, the clothes are arranged in size order with big signs...
Top of the Shops
Review of Top Shop (Shop) by
jenny_carr
Advantages: Great quality, very fashionable clothes
Disadvantages: expensive sometimes
...prices.
The changing rooms are at the very top of the shop and they are good compared to other places. They are large and they have three big mirrors in so you can see what the clothes look at different angles. There is a bench so you won't fall over whilst trying to put on those trousers! There isn't a curtain; it's actually a door, which I much prefer. I like them more because I find that the curtain in other shops like to creep open and that can be quite embarrassing!
The clothes are very good quality I think. I recently bought a baby blue T-shirt from Toyshop for £8 and I am very happy with it. The shape of the T-shirt has stayed in shape through several washes. I used to think that £8 was a lot for a T-shirt but it’s not really because it’s worth the money.
Topshop has a range of new, fashionable clothes but some...
on top of the world
Review of Top of The World Restaurant, Stratosphere Tower. Las Vegas by
cragglerok
Advantages: you can see the whole of vegas as you eat.
Disadvantages: no good if you are afraid of heights!
...This summer we visited Las Vegas, we didn't stay in the stratosphere we stayed in The Mandalay Bay but one night we visited the top of the world restaurant. This was the best dining experience of my life. Reservations for dinner are a must and there is a smart casual dress code, lunch times are more relaxed however and you could probably get away without either.
The Stratosphere is the highest free standing tower that side of the mississippi so your pretty high up! You take an elevator up through the tower 800 ft accompanied by an operator who chats to you as you ascend. You then go to the restaurant desk where you are greated and are taken through red curtains to a lounge where you are then taken to the restaurant to check in, we then went to the bar with our beeper in hand that tells you when your table is ready!
We had a drink...
Top Of The Flops
Review of BBC1: Top of the Pops by
stoffy
Advantages: memories of Liz Kershaw's sassy earrings...
Disadvantages: pointlessly revamped and outdated
...Every generation has its own memories of 'Top Of The Pops'. For some there's Jimmy Saville introducing Gary Glitter in a retrospectively sinister way. Imprinted on the memory of others is the be-maned Bruno Brookes and his chunky yellow microphone, reeling off statistics about Five Star and Wham! with the enthusiasm of a tartrazined-up toddler. And then of course there was that moment of organisational genius where the lisping Chris Eubank was the guest presenter when Suggs's was on the show performing his track 'Cecilia'…
However, the 1990's and early 2000's have seen TOTP rebranded time and time again in an effort to remain the flagship music television programme. Whilst it was still getting twice the number of ratings as ITV's nearest rival, 'CD:UK', youth TV guru Andi Peters was put in charge of rebranding the show...
