Table Tennis - And it's a winner!
Review of Table Tennis - General by
alex2000_mc
Advantages: Helps maintain physical fitness, Easy to learn
Disadvantages: Difficult to Master, Learners could damage their equipment
...Table Tennis is a sport very similar to Tennis, but is played on a Table with dimensions 9 feet in length and 5 feet in width. A net which is 6 inches high, divides the table into two halves. The table is a smooth finished surface made of processed timber. Each half is further demarcated into two, to assist in doubles, the rules of which are explained later.
Players use a variety of Racquets, ranging from fast ones to spinny ones and a ball which is extremely light and made of a compound of camphor to play the game.
This indoor Sport commonly known as Ping Pong is surprisingly addictive. I began playing at the age of 5, merely as a hobby for almost 7 years. Soon i realized that i had begun to make significant progress and it was time for me to nurture my talent. Hence, i began training under a well known coach and a year later found...

I play, You play, Wii all play together
Review of Wii Play (Wii) by
sit2020
Advantages: Family fun
Disadvantages: none
...(or more) the same, or the odd one out or the fastest Mii. This against the clock, an incorrect guess will lose you time. You gain seconds by completing a successful round.
The mini game ends when you run out of time and the high score is the amount of successful rounds completed.
The next game unlocked is
Table Tennis
Now you start to use the Wii remote in a slightly different way, you grip the Wii remote as if you're holding the handle of a table tennis bat. Swinging it to the left and right to return the ball.
In one player mode you're playing against the computer.
Although this is not very easy at first, with practise you will find you're able to smash the ball, put spin on, all the skills that you can have playing the real game, although this game is enjoyable as well as challenging, it is much better when played in two...

Shall Wii Play?
Review of Wii Play (Wii) by
Magrippinho
Advantages: Includes Wii Remote, 9 quick games
Disadvantages: Repetitive, Basic
...'t quite as substantial as to keep trigger-happy players from having an advantage over more cautious ones. It is extremely enjoyable, but unfortunately virtually nothing changes every time you play, so it eventually gets stale.
It might be worth noting that you are allowed to "dual wield" when playing solo.
--Find Mii--
Miis are the universal caricatures/avatars you create for the Wii to represent you and your friends. In this game, you point and click the Miis fulfilling the requirements set at the beginning of each level. You might have to find to the 2 identical Miis, the fast Mii, the pictured Mii and so on and so forth until the time runs out. Things get more complicated as you advance, with more Miis, more movement and less illumination, but it's all pretty repetitive.
--Table Tennis--
You play Ping Pong, simply moving...

Nine Wii games for £5.00
Review of Wii Play (Wii) by
sandra102
Advantages: Cheap, fun, easy games
Disadvantages: The fun factor wears off
..., the more you shoot, especially in a row the more points you get. The levels get more difficult as you go through the game. Its a simple point and shoot game which uses the wii mote that is easy enough for the youngest family members to play. Good fun especially when the ufo's abduct your miis if you don't shoot them in time.
Game 2 - Find Mii You need to point and click on the two identical faces in the crowd of Miis before the other person or find your own mii or possibly three lookalikes. At the start its very easy as there are only a few miis and they don't move but as they start zooming about and there are more it gets incredibly difficult. You also have to find them on escalators and in the dark with a torch light. We only played this once or twice gets boring very quickly.
Game 3 - Table Tennis. You serve by hitting A and swinging...

Wii Play
Review of Wii Play (Wii) by
slate_dawg
Advantages: Good multiplayer and learning experience
Disadvantages: Limited lifespan on certain party games, graphically challenged
..., lifting the wii remote to jump and steering to turn as well as tilting it to speed up, this game is also quite challenging and guaranteed multiplayer fun.
- Laser Hockey: As with air hockey, the Wii remote is used as the "puck" and you have to score in the opponents goal. Simple but fun nonetheless!
- Fishing: This game is where the graphics are shown up greatly. You have to use the wii remote as a rod, dangling it in the water until a fish bites and striking ot catch it.
- Tank Battle: You move the tank around with the directional pad and point the Wii remote at the screen and pull the trigger to shoot. Again, its original and simple but a good bit of fun, especially when you are competing to destroy tanks in multiplayer mode.
- Table Tennis: Not like Wii Sports tennis, the wii remote onlt controls the direction of the paddles...

Wiicked Game - Wii Sports
Review of Wii Sports (Wii) by
GKnows
Advantages: Fitness Test, Fun Games, Wow
Disadvantages: Could of had more games, more features.
...A game that comes free with the console? It is destined to suck, but Nintendo proved us wrong with the fantastic Wii Sports.
Games:
-------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------
Tennis -
Tennis is definately the best game on Wii Sports, it is for up to 4 players, and the response times are brilliant, you use your own personal Mii on the court for a doubles match, and it is really, really fun.
Bowling -
I was really looking forward to bowling, and i have to say, i was slightly disappointed. I am quite good at bowling in real life, but on Wii, when i bowl, it goes straight ahead, but then, near the very end it suddenly turns, there is no way that happens in real life, but bowling is still good, and don't let my moans about it put you off, i have always been a bad loser. :-)
Golf...

A wii remote with great games
Review of Wii Play (Wii) by
Lauren89
Advantages: some addictive fun games, you get the wii remote
Disadvantages: not a lot of replay value and can get boring
...one to look like yourself, you can play with that one. All the games can either be played with two players or one. The games are as follows: Table Tennis - you use the Wii remote as your paddle and the aim of it is to rally as many times as possible, at first for 100 times. It's quite difficult at first to keep it going, but as you keep playing you'll find you get better and better and it gets addictive! I kept trying until I got 100. Laser Hockey is played like air hockey by holding the wii remote on its side to control the laser paddle which is a bit of a confusing way to control it as sometimes you end up holding it so that it goes upside down. Fishing is played simply by holding the wii remote a bit like its a fishing rod and dangling it in the water to lure fish over to it. The graphics on this game make the fish and background look...

wii play
Review of Wii Play (Wii) by
mcleism01
Advantages: free wiimote, good choice of minigames, mii support
Disadvantages: poor minigames. games lack depth
...have to shoot the spacehips before they take your miis of the screen, you earn ten bonus points for every mii they fail to kidnap and you earn bonus points for shooting golden spaceships. as you go through the stages you will earn bonuses for consecutive shots without missing and shooting the birds that fly across the screen.
2.Find Mii.8/10
There will be a lot of miis standing outside, in the dark, in space or on an esculator and you will be given a task to do within a time limit and your time limit increases every time you complete a task. The tasks include find the mii your using, find two lookalikes, find three odd miis out, pick a favourite and find your favourite.
3.Table Tennis.1/10
Table Tennis is BY FAR the worst game on wii play, I was hoping that you would play a sime final and final match as in Mario and sonic...

Wii can all play together
Review of Wii Play (Wii) by
jonny2483
Advantages: perfect introduction to using a wii remote, 9 games for a fiver
Disadvantages: packaged at 35 quid with controller, so overall its a bit expensive
...games that can be played as either 1 or two player modes. They get progressively harder and introduce a new aspect of wii remote control at each step, making it the perfect learning tool. Overall i find the games highly enjoyable, even if they do not provide a great deal of depth and I still regually play them on two player mode. The use of your own individual Mii characters in game is also a nice touch.
1.) Duck hunt
Simple remake of the early NES game duck hunt where you click and point at targets to shoot them down
2.) Mii hunt
Basic game where you have to click and point to target Miis in a crowd such as identical Miis or the fastest Mii or Miis that have fallen asleep. This is probaly my favourite mini game and can get very competitive with a friend, a must for all you where's wally fans :-).
3.) Table Tennis
Exactly what...
