Top of the tables - ten out of ten
Review of Garlando G500 Football Table by
SimonM
Advantages: Smooth rod action, Strong, Good finish, Professional Standard Football Table
Disadvantages: Tricky to level on an unlevel floor
...playing area.
We've had several home tournaments with many hyper players, and my daughters now play (especially if there is a cash prize for the winner) and are gradually exceeding my playing ability - I can't guarantee winning now. The table comes with 10 balls, but you only need one to play a game with, since there is a goal return chute and scoring racks at each end.
The top is uncovered, so occasionally balls can fly out of the pitch, and the rods and pitch gather some dust. A dusting and a squirt of silicone spray is all the maintenance it needs.
I've had the table for a year now and I'm still over the moon with my toy, and it is still a dream to play on.
If you want info, contact Table Sports at Email: info@garlando.co.uk, or Telephone: 01275 333600, Fax: 01275 333890. You can also see the table at http...

Truely Tremendous Table!
Review of Tomy Multi-Activity Table by
VickyVickster
Advantages: grows with your child, fun, interactive, no batteries
Disadvantages: nothing really worth highlighting!
...It was over a year ago now when hubby and I were looking into getting some toys for our more and more active toddler (she was about 15 months old at the time) when we found what has turned out to be the biggest bargain ever in Argos. The Tomy activity table. We bought it for £5.99 reduced from £19.99.
Well I went and picked up the big box and brought it home. Taking the pieces out it was obvious how it all fitted together. Two large chucky capital I shaped legs slip into grips on the underside of the chunky lime green top.(around 12 inches by 8 inches) On top of the table top is a darker green lid which makes the table useable as a table for doing activities on/eating snacks off etc but under this lid are the activities.
My little Beth was instantly impressed with all the activities to play with. She stood up for ages at a time...

IRRESIS-TABLE
Review of Fisher Price Spinning Tunes Activity Table by
mysteryshopper2
Advantages: Brightly colored with lots of activities, holds babies attention, Reasonably priced, high quality
Disadvantages: needs to be more stationary, sometimes it slides, requires adult supervision if you have a climber
...of fascinating activities for sharpening their early developmental skills. This is another parent-friendly toy from Fisher-Price. For starters this toy was very easy to put together: assembly is a snap – just pop the legs in the appropriate holes by following a shape-coordinated guide, unwrap the toys and you’re ready to go. Thankfully, no tools required for this job.
~ Appearance ~
Table: The Fisher Price Activity Table is filled with Activities to keep all little ones busy for a long time. This is perfect for an early walker because of it's appeal, colours, and height. The table itself is bright yellow, with green, blue, red & orange legs, it stands about 16 inches tall. The legs are wide and curved slightly to the outside; making it very steady, but adds little weight to the table. Parents please note: the bottom of the legs are simply hard...

Trendy Table For Tots!
Review of Fisher Price Spinning Tunes Activity Table by
carebare
Advantages: lots of activities to keep baby amused
Disadvantages: none
...Well here you go folks here is the first of many of my ops about the stuff we had for christmas. With the amount of toys the children recieved they could keep me busy of here for weeks!
What is this toy?
----------------------
The fisher price spinning tunes activity table is designed for babies and children over the age of about 6 months.
To describe the item simply, it is a sturdy plastic table with a lift off activity tray on the top. The bulk of the table is bright yellow and there are multi coloured legs that just simply slot into the table top.
The activity tray has 2 functions, it can be used on the table when the child can stand or on the floor when they are smaller. The tray has 2 sides. The "noisy" side of the tray is brightly colured and features 5 spinning discs, a caterpillar,a butterfly and a rattling...

fun table
Review of Bruin Musical Activity Table by
lyndsayw
Advantages: age range is great
Disadvantages: cant think of any
...There are lots of different companies that make interactive toys such as fisher price and tomy, but bruin is an own brand from toys r us. Bruin offers a cheaper alternative than other companies still with the high standards that leading brands offer.
The age for this table is 12 months but my daughter had it at six months for her to be able to play with it we just didn't attach the legs as she got older and learned how to stand we then added them. It is very easy to assemble the legs just click into place and everything else is already attached. The table is hard wearing as it has had toys thrown on top and it pushed up walls yet is still in very good condition.
There is 5 activities on this table the first one is in the centre of the table you have got four animals which are cow, sheep, pig and a hen you can take these off...

Stand and deliver!
Review of The Stand Comedy Club by
kayelletee
Advantages: Guaranteed great night out
Disadvantages: Need to get in early for a good seat; questionable food, early finish!
...I recently visited the Stand with a group of 7 friends and had an AMAAAAZING night out! So amazing that I can't recommend the place enough and had to write this review!
I have been going to the Stand for a couple of years now and it has never failed to produce a good night. It's great for large groups - although hen parties watch out - they tend to be target number 2 for the comedians... after the people who arrived slightly late and were forced to take up seats in the front row!
Cautionary tale number one - arrive early!! The show doesn't start til 9 but you'll have to get there when the doors open if you want a good seat. Right in front of the stage there are small round tables and chairs - definitely the best spot to watch the show - sociable for drinks and chat during the interval and with a good view of the stage...

on top of the world
Review of Top of The World Restaurant, Stratosphere Tower. Las Vegas by
cragglerok
Advantages: you can see the whole of vegas as you eat.
Disadvantages: no good if you are afraid of heights!
...This summer we visited Las Vegas, we didn't stay in the stratosphere we stayed in The Mandalay Bay but one night we visited the top of the world restaurant. This was the best dining experience of my life. Reservations for dinner are a must and there is a smart casual dress code, lunch times are more relaxed however and you could probably get away without either.
The Stratosphere is the highest free standing tower that side of the mississippi so your pretty high up! You take an elevator up through the tower 800 ft accompanied by an operator who chats to you as you ascend. You then go to the restaurant desk where you are greated and are taken through red curtains to a lounge where you are then taken to the restaurant to check in, we then went to the bar with our beeper in hand that tells you when your table is ready!
We had a drink...

TOP COMPILATION FROM THE TOPS
Review of Singles Plus, The - Four Tops (The) by
d_w86
Advantages: All the original recordings remastered; all the hits PLUS MORE; includes post-Motown hits
Disadvantages: A few weaker tracks on CD 2 but they had to be included to make a comprehensive album!
...'s vocals are sublime. This song is frequently used on adverts and featured on compilations - it's a classic. Once the distinctive intro starts, this should prompt you to turn up the volume.
5) I'll turn to stone - if you are looking for a seldom heard Motown classic, this is a good place to start. An absolute classic Four Tops track, not heard very often, very welcome difference in sound because though great, tracks like 'Bernadette' and 'Standing in the shadows of love' are very similar to each other. 'I'll turn to stone' is a mid-tempo number, full of that big Motown production and a dramatic organ. After a few listens, you will probably have picked up the lyrics.
6) Walk Away Renee - another Motown fan favourite. To me, the remastered recording on this album does this song justice - it sounds fantastic. As much as I love that warm...

Activity tables have come a long way.........
Review of Leap Frog LeapStart Learning Table by
Saturdaysgirl
Advantages: Keeps your child interested, price, adaptability, educational.
Disadvantages: Take care on wooden floors.
...3.9 kgs.
The toy is an activity table which sits on blue removable legs. They are easy to remove and just click back in. This is a great idea for children not yet standing as they can sit on the floor and still enjoy playing with the toy. It is recommended for 6 months and upwards.
There are two switches.
A blue on/off switch with volume control.
A green switch which lets you choose English or French.
(Yes! This activity table is billingual. A great idea as children learn from such a young age!)
There is a flip book in the middle of the table. Whichever page you choose determines the table either playing songs or descriptive words (in either English or French) The pictures on the book are of animals playing instruments or with letters, numbers and shapes. The pictures are cute and brightly coloured. The page is sturdy and easy...
