...This is a film which I found when scouting for bargains on EBay, I though that I would give it a go as it stars Pierce Brosnan who I quite like. Pierce plays the role of Andrew Osnard who works for MI6 and gets sent to Panama to check on the safety of the canal. When he arrives he decides that he is going to need a spy working for him so he can get the inside information which he needs. He discovers a tailor, Harry, played by Gregory Rush, who works for all the important people in panama. Andy gets background information of Harry so he has no choice to spy for him. Harry is a vivid storyteller and uses it everyday in his work but will he be able to stick to the truth when giving Andy his information or will he stick to his story telling and what will the consequences of this be? Disadvantages: Weak story, ultimately a dull film

...Disgraced British agent Andy Osnard is packed off to Panama out of the way. Eager to get back into his boss' good books, he wants to provide him with some useful information. Choosing Harry Pendel, a tailor who is well-known in Panama, as his spy, he pays him to get hold of information relevant to the Panama Canal, hoping that some of it will prove useful. The fact that Harry is married to Louisa, who is the PA to the President of the Panama Canal, seems to be promising. Advantages: Some good humour, entertaining
Disadvantages: Sometimes a bit uneven plot wise

...This was a film that got a good mention from a friend of mine about a year ago. It?s no doing the rounds on Sky movies so I decided to give it a look. The cast was good with Pierce Brosnan, Geoffrey Rush and Jamie Lee Curtis, also director John Boorman has made some decent films in the past. Andrew Osnard (Brosnan) is a British spy who lets his chauvinistic attitude get in the way of his career. An affair with the wife of an ambassador ends up with a last chance assignment in Panama. The mission is to learn what the President plans to do with the Panama Canal, a life source of industry and of great interest to both the British and the Americans. When I first ordered shoes from the Shoe Tailor, experts in wider-fitting shoes, I measured my feet incorrectly and found that the only shoes in their catalogue that would fit me were their widest, ugliest, most orthopaedic, brown, granny shoes: the type you might wear to go out with your friends for a scone, in your later years. Hence my friends groaningly called them my ?scone shoes? and walked several yards behind me on the way to the pub every night. They were very comfy! THE SPY WHO SHOULD HAVE STAYED OUT IN THE COLD

Advantages: good cast, good idea, and Jamie Lee's boobs
Disadvantages: slow paced and there is no emotional ties to the characters

not quite Cream, but good

Advantages: innovative songs, great bass playing
Disadvantages: guitar work is a bit weak compared to Cream

...songs for a tailor is jack bruce's debut solo album. following on from his time in rock supergroup cream this collection retains the progressive flair that made cream famous. there are ten original tracks here all written by bruce with poet pete brown. songs such as 'never tell you're mother she's out of tune' and 'boston ball game' are very heavily jazz influenced with horns and imaginitive use of the bass. Bruce's bass playing is excellent throughout, his wandering basslines betray his classical training as they are very much like Bach. the album contains some songs that were originally done during the Cream years such as 'weird of hermiston' and 'the clearout', both of which can be found on the deluxe edition of disraeli gears. these versions are more complete and rounded although not having Clapton on guitar does detract...

Tinker Tailoring with Le Carre's usual style?

Advantages: Good, solid crime fiction
Disadvantages: Not along the lines of Le Carre's spy thrillers - may disappoint some

...Introduction If you're expecting something along the lines of a spy thriller such as 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' or 'The Spy Who Came in from the Cold', then this book may not be for you. This book, although still involving George Smiley, is much more of a murder mystery. I've seen other reviews likening it to Agatha Christie - unfair, I think, because Le Carre's own style is unmistakeable - but it is certainly of that genre. If you like well-written crime fiction, however, you will like this. I was certainly pleasantly surprised. The author John Le Carre, real name David John Moore Cornwell, was educated in Berne and Oxford, before teaching at Eton. ...I first discovered the Jemma Kidd Tailored colour powder blush duo in 2007 and have been using it ever since, my favourite colour in the range is 03 Desert sand / plum although it does come in two other colours soft peach/beige and clear pink. The Jemma Kidd range is available in Space NK for £16.64 which sounds expensive for a blusher but it lasts me about 7 months and a little goes a long way! The compact itself is a matt black almost rubbery texture and the weight is 9g. On opening you are greated with a large mirror that fills the lid of the compact so you get a full view of your face and at the bottom part is the blush. My particular colour is a dark peach and medium pink. The colours can be used together or on their own depending on your personal taste.
