A Fine Single Malt from Tain

Advantages: Smooth so very smooth. Nice Flavour. Hint of Smokiness
Disadvantages: Pricey. Not that widely available.

...The biggest selling single malt whisky in its native Scotland happens to be Glenmorangie, 10 year old and this is one of the finest whiskies that I have ever drunk. A Jewel in the Crown

Advantages: Open all year, excellent course, not too expensive
Disadvantages: That north wind!!

...Tain golf course, I believe, is a hidden jewel in the North of Scotland, often overlooked for Royal Dornoch which is a near neighbour. Tain overlooks the Dornoch Firth in a beautiful setting in the highlands with a backdrop of mountains on one side and the sea on the other, ideal for a round of golf on a beautifully kept, very challenging links course. It is only 35 miles from Inverness, making it very accessible to visitors and there are numerous hotels and guest houses in the area including some top class hotels. The course itself is a Tom Morris design, built in 1890 - 6404 yards long (SSS 70 mens medals, 73 for women) with some very interesting and some very difficult holes. Glenmorangie For Outstanding Taste, Smoothness

Advantages: Superb taste, smooth on the palate
Disadvantages: A bit pricey, hard to stop drinking it, ruined my taste for blended brands

...been used to drinking is its smooth, smokey flavor. I had been used to drinking the less expensive, blended malts. I'm afraid Jon ruined me. Blended malts will never taste the same again! According to the bottle, The Glenmorangie Distillery was established in Tain, Ross-Shire, Scotland, in 1843. There is a picture of the distillery on the front of the tin. The Scotch today is produced in much the same way as it was over 400 years ago. What caught my eye is that it is stated on the back of the tin that whisky is allowed to mature in "selected casks of American mountain oak which allows the natural flavour of Glenmorangie to develop fully." Another gentleman stayed at this hotel in July and received a totally different situation, where he said the hotel could not be faulted, but said he spent this whole week this stay complaining. this hotel was not child friendly, apart from a kiddies pool, but the food menu did not cater for small children. Advantages: Beautiful scenery, Clean Air, Superb Excursions, Warm and Friendly Folk

...rather hilly, it is a most interesting place to stay and with lots going on both through the day and in the evenings, of course St Anton comes to life in the winter wiht skiing being available for both the Novice and the Expert Skier. St Anton is an excellent base from which to explore the rest of the Tirol, with the Kaunertal Valley, Italy, Lichtenstein, Switzerland and Germany all being within and easy day excursion by car, there are many chairlifts and cable cars around St Anton and regular tain service to Bregenz and Innsbruck. I would not recommend St Anton to those who find hilly environments difficult, I would direct you to Seefeld which is very level despite being in the thick of the mountains..
