Lonely Planet Taiwan

Advantages: Its a standard Lonely Planet guide, meaning its pretty useful
Disadvantages: No map of the Taipei MRT is a massive fail

Review of Lonely Planet Taiwan - Lonely Planet

Made in Taiwan - BHS

Advantages: Can be a bit pricey
Disadvantages: Not very disabled orientated

...out of the Storehouse group of companies and is now a sole retailer. It also dropped British Home Stores and became BHS. Now my opinion of BHS is brilliant for over priced christmas gifts but the clothes are ones that you buy for gran. Mind you I must admit, I never really look at clothes and it is now rather updated and is trying to attract a younger element. This opinion is of my experience...

...I was afraid of my stay for one-day stopover without prebooking any hotel in Taiwan to Hanoi. I had been arrived early in the morning at 7.30 a.m. and the flight to Hanoi was departing the next day at 7 a.m. The airport, which should close at night, is 50 km from Taipei city and I was told that people shouldn?t speak hardly English and all is written in Chinese characters.
