A great new touchscreen phone from nokia

Advantages: Easy to use, fast
Disadvantages: Camera

...memory card, which can be replaced with a larger one if needed, but 8 gigs is alright The video function is great though, at almost DVD quality it looks great on tv, which you can easily do by plugging the TV cable into the phone. Overall there are a few flaws with this phone such as the camera, but these will be improved on in time with nokias firmware updates. Its a good cheap phone compared to some of the other touchscreen phones....

The LG Cookie KP500 is a good quality, touchscreen mobile

Advantages: Very good value for money, good build quality, good touchscreen, decent (3mp) camera
Disadvantages: Battery life (and meter) is not very good, camera does not have flash, limited games and apps

...I have had this mobile for about 7 months so far. It has been (one of the) best mobiles I have bought. It was very good value for money and the build quality is very good (although for some reason the pink version is more 'plasticky' than the black one). The features on the mobile are what you would expect on a mobile in the price range of the KP500; not too bad but could do with more applications and games. I have however had to send it back once for repair because of a software problem; whenever I went to the music player the mobile froze. This was solved by a firmware update. The 3 inch (not too big, not too small) touchscreen is also very good for what it cost; it is responsive but not as good as the iPhone. Another problem is the battery life. It drains rather quickly and the battery meter does not work very well. It will stay...

KF600: An innovative, touchscreen phone

Advantages: Touchscreen, camera
Disadvantages: No 3G, expensive

...The LG Venus KF600, provided to me by LG Blog, is a fairly new slider phone which is partially touchscreen. Unlike the LG Viewty, there are two screen (one of which, the InteractPad is touchscreen) and numbers and letters are inputted through a standard keypad. The phone's key feature, the InteractPad, replaces traditional navigation keys and updates depending what you want to do. When the phone is shut, no buttons are visible because it is a screen which will power off! For example, if you wish to make a call, you will have buttons such as mute, in addition to the hard connect and disconnect on the keypad, but if you wish to use it as a camera, the screen will change to having camera buttons (zoom in etc). For bog-standard Java applications (the phone supports Java MIDP 2.0), like Google Mail, you will be given a fairly boring set...

touchscreen slow and for the small-fingered only

Advantages: good dimensions
Disadvantages: slow, fiddly, confusing, irritating

...The touch screen is ridiculously slow. You can wait for up to 3 seconds just to scroll down to the next tab of a menu. The more stuff you have stored in it seems to make it even slower. The middle real button is too small and quite difficult to press without accidentally pressing one of the surrounding touchscreen buttons. The labelling of the soft keys are misleading as the label in the bottom middle part of the screen makes you want to press the soft key directly beneath that, but actually you have to press the real button in the centre. There are also a few buttons which just seem to be there for the sake of overcomplicating things, and there are a few menu steps where you are asked the same thing twice just to make sure you REALLY want to do the thing you want to do (eg make a call, answer a call). It's also inexplicably...

YP-P2JC Touchscreen Player Review

Advantages: Easy to navigate and use. Supports A2DP/AVRCP Bluetooth profile. Good screen.
Disadvantages: Screen can get very messy since it's a touchscreen.

...Firstly, just to clarify, despite it saying not touchscreen in the ciao list... IT IS! THe Samsung YP-P2JC comes in a few varieties, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB. I got this one, the 8GB as it's definately better to have more space than to run out of space. Since the player allows for video playback as well as music and photos, the 8GIG version is recommended. As you may know, this is a flash memory player, as opposed to a hard disk one, thus, it's very thin and very light. Audio, as expected is very good. Samsung have been making MP3 players for a long time now so this is no surprise. Samsung supply a nice pair of headphones with the player which have pretty decent bass and good tone overall. Photos are fairly well handled by the player. Generally the colours look bright and strong but ocassionally, the TFT screen doesn't do...

Review of SMART Board 580 - touch-screen

Cf-18, Panasonic are making my life better!!

Advantages: Tablet style flip screen, built in functionality
Disadvantages: ???

...on the lid!). The touchscreen is good and problems of losing calibration occasionally which we experienced with the 34 seem to have gone. There is also on screen keyboard, handwriting, display rotation utilities that come from panasonic so that you can use the device in it's tablet mode (with the lid flipped) also. They still cost a small fortune but I think these are only likely to be considered for corporate use and they do the job well. Thanks panasonic for ending the mysery you previously caused me, keep up the good work....
