...I'd like to introduce you to an American store that ships worldwide. It's called Talbots, and they offer clothing for women and children. Talbots has been around since I was a child. My mom used to order the occasional dress for a special occasion, and now I find myself doing the same. Their clothing is classic and traditional and offers a range from formal to casual. I cannot afford to shop there very often, as this store's only drawback is the price of their goods. They tend to be expensive. However, when they have a sale, some very good bargains can be had. They usually have a big sale twice a year. This is when I do most of my shopping. The clothing is of excellent quality. Extra buttons and thread are always supplied. The fashions never go out of style and always have a polished look without being overdone... Read review

...--HISTORY AND BACKGROUND-- People have lived in this part of Wales since the Bronze Age with evidence of settlers farming around the Margam Mountain area, and there is further evidence of Roman and Celtic occupation. This 850 acre country estate sprung up around the grounds of the original Norman Margam Abbey which was founded in 1147 by Robert Consul, Earl of Gloucester. The remains of they Abbey can still be seen in the grounds of the park today. After the Dissolution of the Monasteries a number of different owners built around the site of the Abbey until, in 1793, Thomas Mansel Talbot built the impressive Margam Orangery (pictured). The existing Margam Castle was built in early 1830, in Tudor Gothic style, although this later fell into disrepair. The Abbey was acquired by the then Glamorgan County Council in 1973... Read review

...In 1840, William Henry Fox-Talbot had a dream, to capture a still image for all posterity. After much hard work and determination, he made this dream come true. And from that meagre ambition, has spawned the art and science of photography. Imagine the man’s bewilderment if he were alive today. Not only can we capture a still image, in colour no less, but we can capture moving images as well. Add to that the ability to simultaneously imprint sound on these recordings, and do all this in the comfort of our own homes. The poor man would probably die from the shock, but he would depart this earth with a smile on his face at where his accomplishment had led the human race to. And so to the JVC GR-DX25. It is not the cheapest of machines (£400), nor is it the most expensive. It doesn’t have the largest range of special features... Read review

...Rarely do you find such an honest, open and touching piece of work as Talbot's Fat Free Poetry. He captures modern life with surprising insight, showing a true understanding of how the world works. This is a short anthology available only on the net at www.homesteads.com/aardvaarkcreative and I would recommend a visit to this little known site. Fat-Free Poetry made me laugh and made me want to cry - for an unknown poet I was unbelieveably impressed. I hope we all get a chance to see more of this obviously talented man....
