Reviews of talcum
ALL WHITE, ALL WHITE, ALL WHITE
Review of Johnson's Talcum Powder by
blurbubble
Advantages: Gentle, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: Could still irritate the very sensitive
...There is no denying it – this is going to be a very white opinion! For a change I don’t mean white wine either! This time I’m writing about a very white product, in white packaging which makes you all, well, white!
Baby powder to be precise, and that bathroom mainstay Johnsons’ baby powder – found in many homes whether or not there are young children resident. I have used other brands – such as Superdrug and Tesco – and they seem to differ very little. They all come in the same predominantly white packaging and vary slightly in price by a few pence here and there.
I didn’t use talc of any kind for many years – I have very dry skin and a very sensitive nose and found that most talcum powders contributed to both problems. They would either dry my skin out all the more and/or start my sneezing manically as soon as the particles...

Imperial leather is a talcum powder, which makes your skin soft and smooth. You can use it after bathing or showering to give you that fresh, confident feeling and leaves your skin super smooth. It is luxury talc, with a classic fragrance and is a delicate formula.

It comes in a bright red plastic container, which is very sturdy. There is a white screw top, which has 6 small holes in to so it is easy to sprinkle talc on yourself without it going everywhere. The label on the front has the Imperial Leather logo in red and silver. The rest of the label is simple but effective. On the back there is another label giving you more detailed information. The label is white with black writing.

Just a baby at heart
Review of Tesco Baby Powder by
SusanLesley
Advantages: Smells good, works well, costs less than named brands
Disadvantages: None
...I love the smell of babies! Before I go any further into my opinion I’d better qualify that comment. What I actually mean is I love that lovely clean smell when they’ve just been bathed, powdered and changed, not the ‘before’ smell, about which I won’t detail in case you’re getting ready to eat!
So, taking this into account, it isn’t difficult to see why I love to use baby powder. I usually use Johnsons Baby Powder, but someone bought me some of Tesco’s own brand last Christmas and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality.
I didn’t expect it to be anywhere near as good as Johnsons but I was wrong. It worked just as well, it felt just as nice and had a different but equally pleasing fragrance.
I use talcum powder after bathing to make sure that all my nooks and crannies...

'er... 'F' is for fart
Review of Everything that starts with F ... by
Dalesman
Advantages: can clear a room in 5 seconds
Disadvantages: a good one can cling to the curtains for weeks
..........ohhhhhh nasty !!
My wife likes to play volcanoes ....thats another bed position when she lies down sprinkles talcum powder around the groin area and then lets one rip....Pufff it goes all up ion the air just like a volcano......I can't breathe after one of those jobs and all she does is lie there in tears of laughter with a cloud of talcum powder hovering near the ceiling in the bedroom....
Then there are the Farting Competitions which would probably attract some very serious contenders, perhaps some of the regular Ciao'ers could put them selves forward for an international Competition....
We Could advertise it over the UK Internet
As I see it, It would go something like this......
A Grand Farting Cometition to be held at the International Farting Stadium in Birmingham,
Fart Off at 3pm....
Referee .... Dalesman, UK (and Isle...

Lets talk about loo roll
Review of Asda Shades Aroma ultra Soft Bathroom Tissue by
francesca.sd
Advantages: thick, soft, smells nice, cheap
Disadvantages: powdery texture
...then this product is for you.
I recommend this product to businesses which have toilets. E.g. if you own a posh restaurant or hotel, then this will be excellent because it's posh luxury loo roll and your clients will love it! Same applies to people at home. If you have someone coming to stay or you want to make an impression on you then this loo roll will leave them saying "hmm that smells nice" (seriosuly someone said it to me at my house) Loo roll clearly has it's advantages sometimes!
The good and bad ♥
Okay so it smell good yeah? it's thick, soft etc. It's good value and it makes a change and it fresehens up your loo BUT! and yes there is a but, the only thing I don't like about it is that when you feel it- e.g. with your hands or when you're wiping it feel a bit talcum powdery. I don't like the actual feel of it- i like the thickness...

mmmmmm LUSH!
Review of Tesco Cherry Kiss Body Spray by
StephyBabes
Advantages: Great looking bottle, greta smell!
Disadvantages: ran out to quickly
.... I thought that it smelt better than some famous brands personally as well.
My first reaction was that it smelt like talcum powder and not like cherries at all.
As I used it more and more I began to realise the floral scent and not recognise the talcum powder smell any longer. After I had sprayed it I could then realise the subtle cherry scent. It was not over powering at all. It was absolutely gorgeous!
It was not a sickly scent either. Cherry kiss sounds like it might be a bit sickly but it is a lovely subtle scent.
The only problem is I don't think that I used it all that much before it began to run out. I presume that it was under 2 pounds as Tescos are usually good value so I did not hesitate to go and get some more!
Also once you had sprayed it on it didn't remain on you for very long. It soon wore off.
I truly...

Smile sweetly and say nothing
Review of 10 Worst Presents by
unixgirl
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: I might have to hold on to/wear said item
...Don't get me wrong with this review I'm not an ungrateful person. I'm quite easy to buy for and I like things that would suit all budgets (I think I proved this in my Top ten gifts review), but there are somethings I just wouldn't thank you for. Now some of these I have had as presents and others well lets just call it a warning............
10) Heavily scented talcum powder - I hate this stuff. It always makes me itch. There were a few people over the years that got me this, I know they were being nice but these just make me sneeze. The only talcum powder that should be allowed to be sold is Johnson's baby talc.
9) Wooden candle stick holders - I got these for a present when I was 19 from the then boyfriend's family. "Lovely" I said as I opened them. They weren't a nice long tapered design, it was more like a few off-cuts of wood...

BODY POWDERS
Review of Everything that starts with B ... by

Advantages: An ideal final touch
Disadvantages: It can become expensive if you use it frequently
...to France. Now, there are no more Marks & Spencer shops in France so I asked an English friend to buy one for me earlier this year. In the meantime, it had disappeared : I got talcum powder.
The packaging has changed.
One day as I was shopping at Sephora, I discovered the new range of products "Sexy girls have dessert" promoted by Jessica Simpson. In France, this brand is exclusively available in Sephora shops. Among these I chose the body pow | | |
