Tall Trees

...Trees Lounge: written by, directed by, and starring, Steve Buscemi. You may know him of Reservoir Dogs fame (Mr. Pink), or perhaps from The Big Lebowski (Donny). Or you may not. Either way, this film appears to be very much His brainchild, and his physical appearance very much lends itself to his character (Tommy). He's a bit of a puny specimen of a man, with a pained looking visage, and a set of curious teeth, so playing the loser Tommy seems inspired casting! This is Buscemi's second offering as a director, but his first full-length film, and shows what he has to offer for us in the future. Trees Lounge is 'a story about one man's search.. for who knows what', filmed in 1994, but set in the 80s (if their clothing is anything to go by.. I could be wrong though!). How Tall Are You?

Advantages: Great illustrations
Disadvantages: Some may not like the way that the story is largely told through illustrations

...This book is a follow up to the very popular book 'Hug' but it has to be pointed out that it's not vital that you read Hug prior to Tall. It's just the same little chimp, Bobo in it. - The Story - As stated, the story is predominantly told through illustrations. Bobo the little chimp is very small and meets other animals in the jungle that are all taller than him. The stream of animals that he meets are taller than him but each one of them is taller than the other in turn, e.g. the baby elephant is taller than the lion cub etc so begins the repetition and format of the story. ...My profile photo doesn't really show the fact that I'm actually 5 foot 9! Now this does have it's advantages but equally disadvantages. Clothes shopping is and can be a nightmare if I don't go to the right shops. The biggest brand shops are now doing 'tall' sections like New Look, Dorothy Perkins, H&M and many more. They are good but trousers are still a bit of a problem. I would end up having to go the next size up and having the waist inches to big! It was horrible and not great I got recommended a shop in Edinburgh called "Long Tall Sally" which is for women who are tall! Long Tall Sally It is a clothing range and shop designed for women over 5 foot 8. It is a fairly old brand, first developed in 1976 for tall models orignially. Treemendous Tree With A Load Of Balls

After reading lots of good reviews and also this tree-mendous tree was recommended by a friend I decided to buy the VTech Discovery Tree (for rest of review referred to as tree) for my setting about six months ago. ~What Is It ?~ A very brightly coloured tree which is green, red, yellow, blue and orange.The tree comes with five friendly ball characters. It is made by VTech and is made of tough plastic and is fairly sturdy. At the bottom of the tree are piano keys labelled ABCDE and a flip board also an on/off/volume switch. ...What is it like being tall? It is great, except when it comes to clothing. I am not particularly tall by todays standards I am 5ft 10..But my inside leg is 35 inches?you may class me as long legs short body. When are the clothes designers going to realise that British women are getting taller and that a 29 ? 32 inch leg just isn?t good enough. If I am in a hurry to buy a pair of trousers or jeans I usually end up buying mens pants. I cannot understand why they put mens pants with long legs, as even though men are tall they usually have little legs. Short people who have to cut and hem trousers or skirts are lucky, I can?t add a piece on without it looking ridiculous. Plus the fact that I have to travel out of my way petrol, parking etc to get the right length. It costs me a fortune. All right I hear you say, well...

Standing Tall Very Tall

Advantages: Good album for dinner parties and cosey nights in.
Disadvantages: Lot of ballads and not enough pop if thats what your looking for.

...Many of you will already know that Kym Marsh was once 1/5th of the first ever TV Reality Pop Group Hear?Say. A lot of you will say thats all it was just some Hear?Say and after Kym left they seemed doomed. Many people often criticise Kym for her leaving the group and tell tale stories and newspapers seemed to just fuel the fires! Any wise person would however, have seen that Kym was indeed the voice that held the group together. So here we are 3 years after the band first hit the big time and left without a trace and Kym Marsh is back working solo and definitely standing tall! So what do I make of her solo attempt at making an album? I am very impressed but do feel that it could be a little stronger but first attempt I hope there more to come form this lovely lass. Her first long play is jam packed with a whopping 15 tracks...

...This all started with Trinny and Suzannah. The trousers that don?t flap forlornly about at your ankle, but just look oh so elegant resting on your shoe. This appears sadly unattainable most girls over 5?9?. So what is a girl to do? Turn to the Internet of course! Tallgirls.co.uk is the Internet supplier of the clothing brand nine to eleven. I doubt anyone will be surprised to learn that they, basically, sell clothes and shoes to Tall Girls. At 5?t 10?, I guess that makes me part of their customer group. The range is in sizes 10 to 20 (UK) for clothes and 9 to 11 (UK) for the shoes. The web site is well laid out and easy to follow. On entering the site you are greeted with the home page (I guess that was stating the obvious) which lists ?gorgeous tall girls of our time ...?. A list of famous ?Tall Girls? flashes...

Disadvantages: Abit depressing but with lighter parts

...This Steve Buschemi's debut as writer and director. Made in 1996 it is a relatively unknown film but was a critcal if not commercial succes for Buschemi The film is about an alcoholic named Tommy (Steve Bushemi), the film starts and he is trying to wangle one more drink out of the barmaid 15 minutes after 'time'. The barmaid Connie(played by Carol Kane - Hester Street, Taxi) is obviously familiar and serves him with Tommy, which is an interesting tenet to the film as everyone knows everyone in this small suburb and everyone knows Tommy and he seems to recoil from it in shame. The bar 'Trees Lounge' is always populated by Tommy, an elderly alcoholic Bobby and another successful alcoholic Mike (Mark Boone Junior - Batman Begins, Lonesome Jim) Tommy starts to form a friendship with Mike thinks he is a looser. On her own standing tall

Advantages: Solo work from Kym Marsh
Disadvantages: some stuff sounds a lot like hearsay only without the other members

...I am sure quite a few people have heard of Kym Marsh, one of the original popstars winners who went on to become Hear'say, who then in turn left the group, married Jack Ryder from Eastenders and who now has supposedly split up with....Well this is the solo debut album from Kym run down track by track..... CRY The first release from Kym from her debut solo album 'Standing Tall'. If you listen to the radio I am sure you would have heard of this. I think it is a good first single and a good pop song. It's certainly not what I would call a classic but it does it's job even though you probably won't find this in the list of most memorable singles. COME ON OVER The second single from the album and obviously the second track on 'Standing Tall'. Again another good pop song, it starts off with a dancey beat which sounds rather Kylie...
