If say, the drum failed and it was half way through its expected life then perhaps I should be expected to pay maybe half of the cost of the new drum. However, it doesn't work like this. Firstly Tally make low estimates of the life of these parts and then, when they discover that the drum has served 50% of its life, they charge you 80% of the cost of the new drum. Where, I ask, is the justice in this policy? This is true of a range of parts, including toner cartridges which can also fail with a spectacular noise and then cost you to replace ink you haven't even used. ...The series which starts with Riders is fantastic. Riders follows the life of Showjumping, in particular Rupert Campbell-Black, Billy Lloyd-Foxe and Jake Lovell . The storyline is fantastic, a lot of research has gone into the book and you can tell that Jilly Cooper is very proud of her work. I am the proud owner of a signed copy of Score, and I wouldn't part with it for anything. Rupert comes across as a complete pig, and Billy as a loveable rogue. Jake is the mysterious gypsy. Rupert falls for an american woman called Helen who adores him and thinks she can change his ways, however he carries on womanising. Billy marries a journalist called Janey who is an absolute bitch, and Jake marries fat but loveable Tory, mainly for her money, so he can compete with Rupert on an even level and exact revenge for past events. ...The fox hunting debate is well trodden and I don't want to go over old ground too much or stir up the emotions more than they are already. But I would like to mention a new phenomenon that is occuring and that no-one seems to be linking to the fox hunting debate. In Scotland fox hunting using dogs is illegal (but still goes on in some rural areas - very hard to police). The Scottish Parliamerntarians (129 Memebers of the Scottish Parliament - MSPs) voted for the ban. These MSPs represent the people of Scotland - rural and urban - and vote depending on the weight of opinion from their constituents. I think it should be for the people of England & Wales to decide if a ban is necessary. Normally they could lobby their MPs and the result of a vote would mirror the views of the people - like it does in Scotland. Actually... Read review
