Fuji FinePix S3000 Zoom
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S3000 by
johnny760
Advantages: Great features for the professional or the novice
Disadvantages: Not as compact as most digital cameras
...The Fuji FinePix S3000 Zoom is a very stylish and affordable update of the FinePix S304 Zoom. The main difference between the two models is a video-out connection for immediate playback of images via your TV screen. The Fuji FinePix S3000 Zoom has a 3 megapixel sensor, like most other digital cameras at the entry-level end of the market, but it stands out from the crowd due to its 6x optical zoom, which is equivalent to 38–228mm on a 35mm camera. The Fuji FinePix S3000 Zoom has significantly fallen in price since its launch in August 2003 and can now be purchased for under £200 indeed its now on sale at dixons for under £130. But is it the right budget digicam for you?
The FinePix S3000 Zoom has a 3.34 megapixel CCD that delivers 3.24 million recorded pixels. There are 4 image sizes available (2,048 x 1,536, 1,600 x 1,200, 1,280 x...

NW-A3000
Review of Sony Walkman NW-A3000 20 GB by
TheCourier
Advantages: nice design, looks smart
Disadvantages: doesn't come with a remote control
...I have been a Minidisc fan since it arrived and now I've upgraded from minidisc to the A3000 walkman. The great thing I discovered about minidisc was the power consumption which made me confident to upgrade.
As promised the A3000 has the long battery life that I expected from Sony who are leading the field in battery life.
The look of the A3000 is just so sweet, the volume control and Hold are on the sides of the unit so nothing sticks out, the three buttons on the front is something I like, makes everything easy when using the unit.
The software, well I'm use to using Sonicstage with my minidisc recorder, I found the software for the A3000 very nice and quite easy to use, it can be a tad slow at times but that's not really a problem. You do get loads of different options on which compression to use when ripping a CD...

Yamaha PSR 3000 - A One-man Orchestra..
Review of Yamaha PSR 3000 by
derek-j-a
Advantages: A tremendous instrument for the musically minded
Disadvantages: -
...was really getting hooked on the likes of Jimmy Smith (a jazz organist), so I turned my attention to the electric organ.
My first instrument was a small Lowry Holiday followed by a small Hammond (great keyboard sound, but rotten base). In my twenties, I turned professional and purchased a small Yamaha with Leslie speaker - (a sort of spinning speaker inside a cabinet that produced a rich sound). Because of it's light weight for portability and reasonable prices compared to most other organs, I have stayed loyal to Yamaha ever since. I now own a HE 8 (old technology now, which I will soon be updated no doubt) and a PSR3000 - a 61-key electronic keyboard, which is the focus of this review.
What I Like About The Yamaha PSR 3000 is the sound quality and a huge range of "voices" - these are synthetic sounds that even the most critical...

AMD Athlon XP 3000+
Review of Amd Athlon Xp 3000+ by
china_wolf
Advantages: Decent performance, cheap, you can tell you're mates "I got one too!"
Disadvantages: Not as fast as Pentium 4 rated at same speed, not future proof
...stands for XPerience. Sure... any excuse for AMD...
Installing it was a breeze. Just earth yourself first before you take it out of it's box, being very careful not to touch it anywhere but the sides. The motherboard itself has the socket with a lever, just lift up the lever and slide the processor pins into the socket and close the lever. You have to check for orientation as well or the pins could get really bent out of place. After inserting it into the socket, you'll need to install the heatsink/fan onto the processor, be sure to use a flathead screw driver because that would help you hook one of the ends into place on the motherboard. Plug the fan into the motherboard et voila! Installed Athlon! Now just boot up and adjust the speed in the BIOS. If I remember corrently, the AMD Athlon XP 3000+ runs at 2.167GHz. That's not surprising...

Canon IP3000 - Super fast printing!
Review of Canon PIXMA IP3000 by
missnixon
Advantages: Ability to print straight onto the surface of a CD
Disadvantages: Front door flap for outgoing paper tends to bang down giving you the impression that it may break
...I had no idea printers these days had the ability to print as fast as this one does, until there was an IP3000 bought for Christmas. It seriously feels like as soon as you put the paper in, the printer has done its job and spat it out again! Fantastic!
I have noticed there is a higher model of this called the IP4000 which can print slightly faster. But if you ask me, an extra £30 purely to save an extra couple of seconds on print isn't worth it.
Heres why this printer is an amazing contraption:
^^^^ Features ^^^^
I suppose the most noticable function the IP3000 can perform is printing direct onto a CD surface. There is a CD drawer in which you simply insert a blank CD and away you go. Of course you would need blank faced CDs. The cheapest ones I managed to find were from PC World. They're Verbatim make and they cost £6...

3000+ Smiles since purchase...
Review of Amd Athlon Xp 3000+ by
UrkiE-UK
Advantages: Incredible power and speed
Disadvantages: High end of the price spectrum
...The heart that beats inside any PC is the CPU, and the stronger the heart, the faster the system.
There are two main rivals that give us the modern consumer-level CPU chips we have today. You'll either have an AMD or a Pentium CPU inside your PC, and both of them are trying to one-up eachother all the time, which is great news for us. The top-of-the-range chips we have today are incredibly powerful, and more than enough for the job. AMD's leading chip series is the 'Athlon XP', designed to work magnificently in XP systems, but just as well in non-XP Operators.
Enter the AMD Athlon XP 3000+.
The AMD Athlon XP 3000+ is one of those chips. a CPU chip designed for premium performance and responsiveness, and it looks like the aim was met with flying colours. The CPU is the small square of silicon that acts as the engine behind your...

SIM CITY 3000 UK EDITION-NOITIDE KU 0003 YTIC MIS
Review of SimCity 3000 UK Edition Complete package by
Puma1000
Advantages: New European ('UK') and Asian buildings sets, landscapce editor, building editor, scenarios.
Disadvantages: No graphical update, no difference in gameplay, not all the have buildings change.
...such as Whirlpools, Space Junk falling out of the sky and swarms of locusts are there to play around with and cause havoc. The landscape editor (which the original Sim City 3000 lacked) so your can create the right conditions to build you city on/in is a much welcomed addition. There is also the building editor which lets you bring your own designs into the game and is very detailed. Both these new features add much variety and longevity to the game. The new building sets add some renewed interest, but sadly some of the sets of which there are three, American, European of which the British buildings are part of and Asian don't change all the buildings. So American buildings remain in your European city as the games creators feel they are European enough I presume. What would have been welcomed would be some more admistrative aspects to the game such as new...

CANON IP3000
Review of Canon PIXMA IP3000 by
wipedoutgames
Advantages: Lots of Features
Disadvantages: A little big for a small computer desk
...What a great printer for the price. Not only do you get to print direct on to cdr/dvdr's but the print quality on everything that I have tried is fantastic. The only bad thing I can find is that when you have it placed on a hard surface (wooden desk) it gets a little noisy when picking up paper from the bottom loader cartridge, but printing is still smooth and quiet.
I have had this printer since october last year and it hasnt let me down yet. The cost of refilling is rock bottom whilst the quality stays sky high. I have never had to use the head cleaning as the quality has always stayed high, and the way the flaps all close up ensures the printer stays dust free inside.
If I was going to replace this with a newer one then I would go for another IP3000 or the IP4000 and above. An all round astounding printer for the price...

I Love My S3000XL
Review of Akai S3000XL by
forseyforsey2002
Advantages: Was Industry standard, Easy to use
Disadvantages: Software samplers
...I have had my S3000 XL for 5 years now, and with the prices you can pick thease up for now, they are a must for anyone who doesn't like working in the Computer Environment.
They come out of the box with 2meg of Memory, but this is easly /cheaply upgraded to a maximum of 32Meg (which is more than enough) for most uses.,
It can sample at 2 reates , The CD standard 44KHZ, or a lower quality, more memory space 22KHz, it also has 10 outputs (YES 10?),and a digital input., SCSI , so you can add a Zip/Hard drive and/or a CD rom,Filters, which you can assain to a controller like the Mod wheel etc..
I find this sampler very easy to use, and very inspiring for anyone who wants to get into or needs sampling in thier sonic scape..,
I use this sampler on most of my tracks, which are mainly commercail Dance tracks, I find the 10 outputs...

Creative Mouse Optical 3000 - Great wired mouse
Review of Creative Mouse Optical 3000 - mouse by
panther23
Advantages: programmable buttons, left or right haded, quality, durability, value
Disadvantages: none
...(press or roll) wheel can control speaker volume as well as standard point and scroll features.
It is not a wireless mouse, but we need to remember how it was looking like 5-6 years ago. They were quite expensive and technology used in them was developing.
It is possible to change buttons settings from right to left handed people thank included drivers and software. That's a huge plus when thinking about accessibility.
I have big hands but could easily fit Optical 3000. Controlling experience was either very satisfying. Maybe will exaggerate but had impression that it has been made especially for me.
Heard different opinion about this blue light. Come on, I do not understand where the problem is. It makes this mouse look a little bit better. I found it very useful when watching movies at night or when going to kitchen for something...
