Omni Trio - Even Angels Cast Shadows
----------------------------------------------------------
It was around May this year when I found this album on iTunes. I had just been going through different phases of music genres, Rock, Hip-Hop,Pop,R&B, but I didn't take to them too much. I prefer more relaxing music, not classical but just more of a Drum and Bass type genre to give me that tingle up my spine like some music does...
I began to get into Drum and Bass more as the music is just so much different to the other genres. There are hardly any lyrics and just some sweet sounds to listen to. I really took to Drum and Bass and that is when I started to look for Drum and Bass albums and songs from iTunes and stores...
I couldn't find any in nearby shops or even when I...

Alkaline Trio Crimson CD
Review of Crimson - Alkaline Trio by
amylou8191
Advantages: Some Really Catchy Tracks
Disadvantages: Can Be Saming Wont Appeal To A Large Audience
...Alkanline Trio released this album in 2005 much to the joy off the vast majority of there fans. If you enjoy punk/rock/emo etc this album is defintely worth a look.
I would also recommend it to other people who enjoy music. If you enjoy a vast erray of genres i would recommend this album. It is just "hard" enough to distinguish it from pop but is not heavy enough to burst your eardrums - thankfully.
Alkaliine Trio have released another album this year called Remains which i personally didnt enjoy as much as this one. May just be me as i have lots of happy memories with this album, but if you have heard that album and enjoyed it definetly get this album.
You can pick this album up really cheaply now its 2 years old. On itunes it is £7.99 however i suspect you can probably pick it up on somewhere such as ebay or amazon for alot...

Eyeshadow junkie recommends No 7 Trio
Review of Boots No.7 Eye Shadow Trios by
bellahuang86
Advantages: Excellent range of colours, good staying power, no flaking/clotting
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, no non-glittery alternative, fragile packaging
...My overall impression of the Boots No 7 eyeshadow trios is a positive one. Having bought two trios, in brown and green, at £8.50 each, and a few singles at £6.50 each, I'm satisfied that the eyeshadows are of a GOOD quality, and value for money (in terms of No 7 products) because it's a lot cheaper than buying separate singles.
+ The packaging is compact, as each eyeshadow slot is small. Let's face it, this is perfect for when you need to pack a SMALL bag of makeup for an overnight event but want lots of colours to choose from the next morning. Plus, I find that in the past 8 years or so of my makeup wearing experience, I've NEVER actually used up a whole slot/pot of eyeshadow (they tend to either go bad or I get bored).
+ Excellent selection of colours in the trio range - off the top of my head, browns, greens, blue/aquas, pink...

The Trio go dark
Review of Good Mourning [Digipak] - Alkaline Trio by
contrastdrummer
Advantages: Dark, melodic, infectious punk with great lyrics
Disadvantages: Some tracks seem like filler
...This is Alkaline Trio's 4th proper studio album, released in 2003 on Vagrant records. The trio have always been a slightly dark band, but with the release of Good Mourning, the band have changed their image completely. Fortunately their music hasn't changed too much. Good Mourning features newly recruited drummer Derek Grant
The album starts off with This Could Be Love. Very dark and clever lyrics, from singer and guitarist Matt Skiba. Not one of my personal favourites though. I like it, but it doesn't grab me. 8/10
We've Had Enough was the first hit single from the album. This is good Alkaline Trio. Dark verse but it then goes into the chorus in a major key. Very lively too. The album redeems itself after the fairly disappointing This Could Be Love. 10/10
The good thing about Alkaline Trio is their guitarist Matt Skiba...

Alkaline Trio - Goddamnit
Review of Goddamnit [ECD] - Alkaline Trio by
bawney123
Advantages: All round good songs and lyrics
Disadvantages: Perhaps a bit mix and match here and there
...Alkaline Trio are a mixture between Rock and Gothic music, with all the drum beats and riffs of rock, but gothic lyrics and song natures. They have their own individual sound, with a combination of vocals you'll never find anywhere else.
This is probably one of Alkaline Trio's best albums. It isn't the most refined one, but it has an addictive rawness to it. It's clear to see just how much they've changed throughout time, right up until Crimson, their most recent album, jam packed with smooth guitar hooks.
First, a brief history. The trio formed back in 1997, initially made up of Matt Skiba (guitar), Glenn Porter (drums) and Rob Doran (bass), but Doran was quickly replaced with Dan Andriano. Throughout the course of the different albums, the drummer has changed from Porter (playing on 'Maybe I'll Catch Fire and Goddamnit), to Mike...

Horn Trios by Brahms and Ligeti
Review of Brahms; Ligeti: Horn Trios by
sandersabigail
Advantages: Two outstanding peices of chamber music for an unusual combination of instruments
Disadvantages: On the surface quite contrasting works, listener must be openminded
...The work of Ligeti has been at the forefront of Western avant-garde since his escape from the oppressive communist regime of Hungary in 1956, and he is widely appreciated as one of the most outstanding contemporary composers. The Trio for Violin, Horn and Piano because it was born out of a three-year period of illness and writer's block after the completion of Le Grand Macabre in which time he laboured over a piano concerto but completed only two short harpsichord pieces (Continuum and Hungarian Rock), yet the result in 1982 was the Trio, one of the finest and most complex pieces written so far. His career up to this point had included such sucesses as his Requiem, Atmosphères and the soundtrack for Stanley Kubrick's film 2001. Tiring of his own cluster-textural techniques and the avant-garde, Ligeti refreshed his compositional...

Handy trio- coordinated with your eye colour
Review of L'Oreal Paris Color Appeal Trio Pro by
BananaNoodle
Advantages: Saves the hassle of wondering if it will suit you
Disadvantages: Applicators are a bit rubbish
...I can spend ages in the shop wondering which colours will go with each other if I'm not careful so this trio of pre-selected colours is perfect for me. I have blue eyes so I bought the one designed for blue eyes (I think they do grey eyes, green and hazel but I'm not too sure on that). This meant I got a little trio box with a highlighter in a gold shimmery colour and a lighter colour for the lid and a sort of purpley colour designed to go under your eye as a liner.
I use this as my day eyeshadow, there's not enough colour for night for my liking. As a day colour though it's brilliant. So easy to do and there's even a little guide on the back for those who are unsure where to apply the colours.
The product does come with applicators but once I could feel the plastic bit underneath the foam I used some more expensive ones I bought...

Smashbox EyeShadow Trio
Review of Smashbox Eye Shadow Trio Viewfinder by
kassurvey
Advantages: Great colours, ease of use, quality of product
Disadvantages: none
...Smashbox is a name I have truly come to depend on and it now fills my make up bag. The consistency of the products are such that the colours stay true during the entire day. Easy to apply, either with brush or finger tip and easy to blend; the colour trio gives perfect coverage for lids, sockets and brow line. It comes in a convenient size, which even with everyday use has lasted me several months already with little sign of running out. There is also a secure screw top lid which saves messy accidents in bags and pockets. There are cheaper eyeshadows on the market but this is a good mid-price range choice. I also have sensitive skin and have not encountered any problems using smashbox products....

No 7 Colour Perfect Trio
Review of Boots No.7 Eye Shadow Trios by
leebee81
Advantages: Dramatic colour
Disadvantages: Strange combination of mattes and frosts.
...I own quite a few eyeshadows, but I only packed the basics to bring with me when I moved from Aus. So most of my daring and funky colours are safely packed away at my in-laws place, away from heat and light, waiting for my return.
Consequently, when I saw this trio on the clearance shelf marked down to £1.75, I thought that was a pretty good bargain for 3 colours. Ive since found the usually retail for around £6.50. The only one on the clearance shelf was "Graphite," which contains silver, white and black. It does look quite dramatic in the container.
The colours go on a bit strangely, and dont really go together all that well. The centre colour, which is to be applied all over the eye, is a matte, very sheer white. This took me quite a while to build up, and to be honest, I prefer my the white in my Covergirl denim quad...

Tangenizing at it's best!
Review of Tangents 1973-1983 [Remastered] - Tangerine Dream by
orrin31
Advantages: Unreleased tracks
Disadvantages: Price, some 're-mixing'
...As you may have already guessed, this is a ‘best of’ album. As Tangerine Dream have been around for the past 40 years, you don’t need to be a fan to know there are lots of these compilation albums around – some good, some so bad you feel embarrassed to look at the cover let alone play it. ‘Tangents’ is certainly one of the best.
The tracks are from a wide range of studio and sound track albums; some classic ones like Ricochet, White Eagle and Exit, to some quite rare and difficult to find tracks (Wavelength and Flashpoint). Disk 5 contains a lot of previously unreleased tracks, which makes a very useful added bonus, and makes the price worthwhile.
Many of the tracks are just excerpts of long single track albums like Ricochet, but some are re-mixed, or "tangenized", as some fans call it. Some of them are quite different...
