Teezing out those terrible tangles!

...For a long time now my five year daughter has been very proud of her very long golden locks. However, having such long hair is not without its problems, as every parent will know, especially when it comes to combing. Recently, her hair was so constantly tangled despite combing and conditioning that I persuaded her that it would be a good idea to visit the hairdresser and at least have her hair cut a little shorter. She how has more manageable and slightly shorter hair and while we were there I explained our problem to the hairdresser. Her response was - 'well you haven't tried the tangle teezer then?' Tangle Teezer makes brushing easier.

Advantages: It's affective, easy and comfortable to grip
Disadvantages: It's not made with left handed comfort in mind, its not cheap.

...as it seems more ideally shaped for being held in the right hand. It has an indented part where the fleshy part at the bottom of your thumb fits perfectly, and another much smaller indent towards the top of the left side for a finger to comfortably rest (this left and right description is from looking at the brush face on at the bristles). It fits comfortable into the palm of my hand, but I don't think it would feel comfortable and great to hold for a child's hand. The brush is made of plastic and has soft bristles without the little ball bits on the end and the bristles are in 2 different lengths the longest are about a centimeter in length and the shorter ones are half the size. Tangled for Ever!

You could guarantee this is where I would be every Saturday, to me Tangled at the Pheonix is an institution! It is a club night in Manchester, on Oxford Road, that is open 10pm - 4am every week. It has two rooms split on two levels, the main room plays uplifting House and Techno with a bit of trance thrown in as well. The second room which is above that plays Breaks music.
