Advantages: Superb Sound, Very Loud, Ideal for Ipods

...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting Summary: This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. Can't get much simpler. It also runs off a wall...

Tannoy Arena: Sound and style that might just take you by surpris

They produce a meaty sound which makes explosions roar and are detailed enough so that you can pick out every crunch and chime from the shattering of glass. Music sounds bright and has depth. The bass box can be adjusted and its big sound blends with the other speakers. The Tannoys are loud enough to easily fill your room with sound or even have you pinned to the back wall. These tannoys have opend my ears!

Advantages: Awsome, rich and deitailed sound

...I recently decided to buy my first separates system and after some heavy research (and a limited budget) I chose these speakers to go with my amp. the last pair of speakers I had were some eltax concept minis for my micro system and I was impressed with them. but after hearing these Its a whole different league of sound quality even my wife was couldn't help but comment how much better they sounded. There not the best or the worst looking speakers in the world but they do look purposeful and well built. they have solid gold plated brass binding posts at the back, I'm not sure if you can put banana plugs in yet but i will find out in good time and incidentally there is a corner sticker on the back boasting of its audiophile credentials. They are rated at 50 watts at 8ohms but according to the manual it has the capacity to go up to 100w...

I love my Tannoy's

Advantages: Very clear, very crisp
Disadvantages: slight lack of bottom end! Tho I wouldnt frett.

Tannoy takes centre stage.

Advantages: Great price Vs performance, compact, good sound.
Disadvantages: Very minor "boxiness" in mid range.

...The centre speaker of a Home Cinema system is *probably* the single most important speaker of the whole bunch. It is, of course, only one of the 6 speakers in a standard 5.1 Home Cinema (HC) system, but it carries the most vital bits of audio information - the centre stage sounds, which, most of the time, consists of film or TV dialogue. For this reason, it has to be a very high quality speaker, with a good flat mid frequency response. Of all of my speakers, I probably like this one the least, which is really unfortunate, as the rest of the system is fabulous. Fortunately, the rest is *so* good, that I often miss the flaws in the centre speaker ! Having said that, I must point out that I am a bit of a perfectionist, so the "flaws" are really very minor - just a hint of boxiness in the vocal frequency range of 200Hz to 2500Hz...

HOME CINEMA ON A BUDGET? TRY THESE.

Advantages: Small,unobtrusive satellite speakers.
Disadvantages: Not as good as larger speakers.

...I brought my set of tannoys 15 months ago and, at the time,they cost £300.Now,with a little searching around,they can be obtained for under £200. What you get in the box is five satellite speakers(two front,two rear and a centre speaker) plus a seperate powered subwoofer. You also get wall mounted supports for the two front and two rear speakers and all the speaker cables(i changed the cables to 79 stand q.e.d. speaker cable to improve the sound). Setting up the system is relatively easy:you just need an electric drill for the the wall mounted stands and once fitted,you just connect the cables to your home cinema amp. Easy!! Once you have connected everything,it is time to try out the system. My first reaction and i am sure yours will be the same was one of complete disbelief!! The sound quality for such small speakers...

Advantages: Deep bass, weighty sound. Relatively cheap.
Disadvantages: Actually discontinued (seek out newer mx3s), treble and detail can sound a little less exciting compared to other speakers.

..., the Q35s were £350 and the Missions £400), but that's not to say that they offer and inferior sound. Tannoy pitch these speakers as hi-fi, but primarily as hi-fi/home cinema speakers. As such, at the price they offer an impressively weighty sound (probably due to the reflex ports) that goes well with home cinema and rock music alike (which is mainly what I listen to through them). In fact, the bass seems deeper and more comfortable than even the Missions I listened to. They show a decent level of detail which isn't too harsh but can't match the sweetness of more expensive speakers. I listen to them angled in a little to improve the stereo imaging, but given a bit of room and less toe-in the bass is deep and reasonably tight. At higher volumes is where these speakers shine at their price level, I feel - they display a mighty sound that...

Excellent travel system

Advantages: Folding down, multifunctional
Disadvantages: Slightly heavy

...Being a first time Mum, I searched around all the high street shops for a functional and attractive travel system. Out of all the prams this one had the easiest folding down system, even tho it was slightly on the heavy side I could fold it down with 1 hand! The carry cot was great for the first 4 months fitting in to the pram snuggly as the seat folded flat (which I found alot of other prams didn't do) The car seat had a base that made it so easy to take the baby in and out of the car (no messing around with seat belts every time!) It is also very well padded, however it didnt come with cushioned protectors on the straps. When we were taking baby home for the first time, the midwife told us it needed them which were only £5 extra to buy. She's in the buggy part now which has three postions and harnesses which is great. Overall fab...

A bulky travel system

Advantages: Big Shopping basket, Suitable until baby wants to walk, Great for Ramming people out of the way (joke)
Disadvantages: Very Heavy, Bulky and Hard to find somewhere to put the pushchair when not using it.

...I bought this travel system because i thought it looked good, boy was i wrong. Ever since i brought it i hated but my partner wouldnt let me take it back because he liked it. -Car Seat- My son never liked the car seat so it didnt get used much. It scrunched him up to much and even though they say you can use it until the baby is 29lbs my son would fit in it when he got to 20lbs. The only good thing about the car seat was that it was easy to fit into a car and onto the pushcchair to make it a travel system. -Pushchair- As i said above my son didnt like it in the carseat so i had to put him in the pushchair from about 2weeks old, this pushchair is ment to be suitable from birth.
