Advantages: high sound quality, diverse functions, record to tape mode, record from tape mode
Disadvantages: usless instruction manual, useless recording programme, not all cables supplied

...The sound quality is good, so is the recording quality. The look and design are brilliant and so is the durability! It's an extremly good cassette deck with a level meter indication feature as well as noise reduction and dubbing which are just the start! In my opinion however, this should just be sold as a normal tape deck as the only real feature that lets it down is the transfering "2PC" mode which is actually the main idea behind this deck! Disadvantages As described previously, this tape deck has only one real disdvantage and that is the transfering of a tape to computer media. Advantages: Good quality tapes that will work and last
Disadvantages: Very dated with better SD Card or Hard Drive options

The problem with these tapes are that they can only fit inside a camcorder which is the size of a brick. This impacts on the portability of the camcorder. The HD or SD Memory card models are small to the point of being pocket size. Compared to electronic media, it is difficult to search the tape for sections of specific footage, there is also the problem of being limited to 60 or 90 minutes. Modern Hard Driver or SD cards can contain several hours worth of recording. ...The Explosion is one of those 'The Next Big Thing' branded bands - and the thing about these bands is that sometimes it happens for them, and sometimes it doesn't. However, in most of the cases where it just doesn't happen, the band isn't particularly great - this can't really be said of The Explosion. With 'Black Tape,' The Explosion has produced an album that although not entirely original, is full of substance, energy and excitement. Im quite lucky because I own a good make of Camera. A Sony One. However, I also match the quality of camera with a quality tape. A Sony one! Why? Well, Sony Tapes are obviously engineered to perform best in a Sony Camera. For this reason, I bought a 3 pack at the airport on my honeymoon. The price was £7.95 so about £2.64 per tape. For my £2.64, I am getting 90 whole minutes of sheer quality recordable tape that does not grain or lose quality with usage. No stretching or deformity. Just excellent recording and playback time after time. With a 90 minute tape such as this, you are getting an optimum tape quality. 60 minute tapes are too short in recording time...

Advantages: Quirky, fun and great soundtrack
Disadvantages: Predictable and a little sappy on occasions

...I first watched Empire records as a teenager and thought it was one of the best films ever made. Now nostalgia can make me watch it again and again and although I have down-graded it somewhat from 'World's Greatest Movie', I still feel that this is a good film about young adult life and deserves to be a teen classic. The film is about a group of teenagers who work in an independent record store (called Empire Records) run by Joe. The story opens with one of the employees, Lucas, discovereidng that the store is not making enough money and may be sold to a chain called Music Town. To try and save the shop he takes the day's takings and tries to win gambling in Atlantic City but ends up losing it all. Empire Records now in serious danger of having to be sold to the chain, the film follows one day in the life of the store and it's employees...
