My new bag
Review of Targus Trademark 17 Clamshell Notebook Case by
danielalong
Advantages: Good quality laptop bag
Disadvantages: None yet
...Targus Clamshell XL notebook case
With the purchase of my new and improved laptop, I needed a new bag so I could carry it around with me. A quick scour around some of the major retailers convinced me that they were all, bar a few, priced around the same price.
I knew that I wanted a bag which was smart enough to carry to work and to meetings related to work, but which was equally able to withstand some knocking about. I also knew that I didn't want to feel that I had to treat the bag like a precious piece of equipment, and hence, this is the one I bought.
THE BAG
The bag itself is black (good serviceable colour) and has the Targus logo on the front of the pocket; very discreet, and not something which makes it look tacky.
The bag itself is nicely padded, and so offers the laptop some protection without being overly...

Laptop Carry Case
Review of John Lewis Laptop Carry Case by
neil1424
Advantages: looks nice, comfortable
Disadvantages: expensive, handle broke
...This bag is designed for laptops and small amounts of work folders
Size & Price
---------------
The bag dimensions are H32 x W45 x D15cm and it costs £50 from John Lewis
Laptop Compatibility
--------------------------
This carry case is large enough to hold any size laptop, apart from the large widescreen ones. I carry an IBM Thinkpad in mine with power cable and mouse with no problems.
Appearance & Features
----------------------------
The case is made out of black PVC and feels and looks quite nice. It has a stainless steel carrying handle with soft leather material on the underside of the grip. It also comes with a removable shoulder carrying strap which is sturdy.
Unfortunately, the main metal handle, though very comfortable to hold, is attached to the bag by 4 screws and these kept coming loose even after...

Sporty and Smart at the same time
Review of Targus Sport Deluxe Notebook Backpac by
pompey_jon
Advantages: Looks good, protects my laptop, Comfortable
Disadvantages: Internal capacity could be greater
...************************Intro*****************************
After trudging through too many airports with my trusty but cumbersome Dell laptop case I decided I wanted an easier life. All those people running past me with their laptop backpacks which were easier to carry made me a little jealous, so I decided to do something about it.
I took a look at the range of laptop backpacks available in the market and believe me there is a lot of choice. After excluding all of the ones that were designed by three -year olds I decided on a couple of bags from Targus which would suit my Dell 15.4" laptop. Targus say it will support laptops with screens up to 16" and I tend to agree with this
I do not testify to know the full history of Targus but I do know they have been in the laptop case business for a fair while, and I have even used...

PDA carry case and easy to use
Review of HP Premier Leather Case Carrying case by
JamesDavidson
Advantages: Protects
Disadvantages: Not many - it does its job
...I have to admit I like this one. I got give a simple one which was more like a cover that didnt give access to the screen.
This one is smart and opens up to give acces to the PDA which is protect by a thin, but strong, plastic layer. It has little to no effect on the stylus meaning it feels like you are using the PDA without it on. It has a ring holder for a spare stylus or pen and the clear plastic part of the bottom gives access to the rest of the buttons.
There are very few problems with it, none that I can find with it.
The best bits about it:
It is smart, black and sleek so does not look out of place in the scruffiest hand or the most manicurred hand.
The thin plastic layer protects the screen without hampering the stylus.
You can leave it in your pocket and the PDA doesnt do anything!
It protects the PDA, ive...

SONY - Are we paying for the name???
Review of Sony VAIO CityStyle Carrying case Black, Grey by
watso75
Advantages: Good quality, durable
Disadvantages: Over priced, Uncomfortable handles.
...easy or usefull it is. The main handles on the bag are made from a hard plastic and although are moulded to fit together do not have a very comfortable feel if you need to carry the item a long way. Softer feeling handles would be of great benefit.
This brings me back to my original question, are we paying for the sony name???
Well it is a good quality case that has stood the test of time in an array of situations at work, but there are plenty of other brands out there today which can compete with this case for half the cost.
If it were my own money, think i would buy something a little cheaper....

Aquapac Mini Camera Case 404
Review of Aquapac PDA Classic Carrying case by
banker1
Advantages: Price, generic design, ease of use
Disadvantages: Limited life
...Although not the PDA case, I have the same version for compact cameras. I was in a rush to find a solution to take photos in the water during a surfing holiday but proprietary cases are very expensive so wanted a stop gap until I could do my research. I came across this generic case which suited my internal lens camera perfectly. Initially I was concerned by the small overlap at the seal but following the instructions I used it in the water all week with no leakage. During use any water over the lens will blur photos so I found a process of dunking the case in the water again shifted droplets for clear pictures. The soft blue plastic sections enable all control use. Things to watch don't open at the beach as sand in the seal might damage it, watch out if the silicate crystal pack tears and the clear plastic will scuff with sand...

carry case for a desktop PC!
Review of Shuttle XPC Bag PF9 by
miss_d_bus
Advantages: easier to carry PC and its assessories
Disadvantages: just wish someone else would carry it.....
...is inside. It then has a clip that goes over the front large pocket and holds everything in place.
The shoulder strap is adjustable and padded. This helps when carrying the computer for a long time as it can start to get a bit heavy.
On the bottom of the case are feet so if you need to put it down, the base of the carrying case is not directly with the floor. This helps to keep it clean.
There is also a handle on the top of the case if you chose not to use the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap can be removed by using the clips if it is not needed.
There is a mesh pocket inside the top of the case, the lid, with a zip.

Targus, What CAN I say.
Review of Targus 75W AC Mains Power Supply - power adapter - 75 Watt by
GerlofL
Advantages: It comes with more cables.
Disadvantages: The part that you can not take out of the charger is the weak part.
...Bought it, was happy with the idea that I could use it in England on any laptop, because I am moving from The Netherlands to England. However, I had it, and the iron pin at the end of the wire you put in your laptop broke, leaving the iron piece in my pc. Thank God I do not give a damn about my teeth, I ripped it out of my laptop, and there I was, a iron pin in my mouth, my laptop wanting power and my Targus Adapter shining at me like it did nothing wrong. The store owner did not give a damn, and said it was my fault. There I was, no guarantee, no power for my laptop, and no response from Targus.
If you never ever move your notebook, maybe this product is advicable, else I would go for something else, it is worth looking for, trust me.
I got blamed, and when I wanted to deny it they already walked away, without the intention...

Targus Ultra Mini 4-Port USB Hub
Review of Targus Ultra Mini Hub - hub - 4 ports by
matt_fantastic
Advantages: Funky glowing lights
Disadvantages: Cheaper "clones" are available
...I bought the Targus Ultra Mini 4-Port USB Hub as I have more USB items than USB sockets on my laptop docking station.
Its compact dimensions (width 9.5 cm, depth 4 cm, height 1.5 cm, weight 40 g)and included USB connection cable allow it to fit anywhere on the desk, and its four USB 2.0 ports (480Mbps data transfer) allow rapid connection to all sorts of peripherals. It's also backward compatible with older USB 1.1 devices, and Apple devices I believe, too.
Installation (with Windows XP SP2) is a doddle, with no drivers aor anything to install, just plug it in, wait a few seconds while Windows does its stuff, and we're off. Connecting USB peripherals previously connected directly prompts Windows to repeat its "Found New Hardware" business, but this takes just a few seconds.
When peripherals are connected, the plastic around...
