Carry your laptop in style
Review of Targus Premier Leather Notebook carrying case by  flooda

Advantages: Laptop is protected. Classy looking. Lots of storage space.
Disadvantages: Fairly expensive.

...I work in the corporate hospitality industry, so image is all-important, especially when you’re meeting potential clients for the first time. Presentation is very important, not only for your goods and services, but your own personal image and appearance. I use a laptop for work, but the nylon fabric case that it came in had seen better days, and was beginning to show its age and look very tatty. It’s little use presenting yourself and your company as highly professional, when your client takes one look at your laptop case, and wonders whether you’ve been using it to carry home the vegetables from your local Tesco. So hubby, bless him, decided to treat me to a new leather carrying case as an anniversary present. He bought me a lovely new leather carrying case in beautiful black leather made by a company called Targus. It looks... Read review

Targus Messenger Laptop Case
Review of Targus CityGear Miami Messenger Notebook Case Notebook carrying case by  bindie

Advantages: Lightweight, Padded Laptop Compartment
Disadvantages: Looks too much like a normal laptop bag

.... There is a small compartment on the cover which is zip closed. This is very useful if you do not want to open the whole bag up but want to make sure that the item is secure. At the bag there is also another Velcro fastening part which can store CDs or papers easily. All the zips on the bag are of good quality. The strap is strong, and is made well. It is easy to adjust and the whole bag looks very good. The grey, black and yellow look very good when combined in the right way. This is one of the best 17" laptop bag holders for a reasonable price. It provides very good protection for the laptop, and has a section divider if you have a 15" laptop, so would deal well with both sizes.... Read review

My new bag
Review of Targus Trademark 17 Clamshell Notebook Case by  danielalong

Advantages: Good quality laptop bag
Disadvantages: None yet

...Targus Clamshell XL notebook case With the purchase of my new and improved laptop, I needed a new bag so I could carry it around with me. A quick scour around some of the major retailers convinced me that they were all, bar a few, priced around the same price. I knew that I wanted a bag which was smart enough to carry to work and to meetings related to work, but which was equally able to withstand some knocking about. I also knew that I didn't want to feel that I had to treat the bag like a precious piece of equipment, and hence, this is the one I bought. THE BAG The bag itself is black (good serviceable colour) and has the Targus logo on the front of the pocket; very discreet, and not something which makes it look tacky. The bag itself is nicely padded, and so offers the laptop some protection without being overly... Read review

Laptop Carry Case
Review of John Lewis Laptop Carry Case by  neil1424

Advantages: looks nice, comfortable
Disadvantages: expensive, handle broke

...This bag is designed for laptops and small amounts of work folders Size & Price --------------- The bag dimensions are H32 x W45 x D15cm and it costs £50 from John Lewis Laptop Compatibility -------------------------- This carry case is large enough to hold any size laptop, apart from the large widescreen ones. I carry an IBM Thinkpad in mine with power cable and mouse with no problems. Appearance & Features ---------------------------- The case is made out of black PVC and feels and looks quite nice. It has a stainless steel carrying handle with soft leather material on the underside of the grip. It also comes with a removable shoulder carrying strap which is sturdy. Unfortunately, the main metal handle, though very comfortable to hold, is attached to the bag by 4 screws and these kept coming loose even after... Read review

Buy a Palm and help spare my blushes
Review of Palm IIIxe by  free4susan

Advantages: extremely portable, 8MB storage capacity
Disadvantages: not a flash looker!, can't recharge

...looks like plastic, so I'm going to put my money on that. There is a flip cover to protect the screen. In the back there is a handy holder into which you slide the stylus when not in use, the stylus being the thin black pen-like object which you use when touching the screen. It runs on two AAA batteries. When the Palm IIIxe is turned off the screen is a vaguely greenish colour. There is also a Hotsync cradle (another plastic affair), into which you place the Palm when 'syncing' (to be explained further below). Then again, as they say, looks aren't everything and in this case what goes on inside this Palm is a lot more impressive than the first impression it creates. It has 8MB of storage capacity. It comes with the Palm Operating System which includes a number of key applications including Date Book, Memo Pad, Mail and Address Book... Read review

PS2 carry case review
Review of Logic 3 PS2 Carry Kit (Carry Case, PS2 Game Pad, Vertical stand + DVD Remote Control) by  ReviewIt01

Advantages: Umm.. none
Disadvantages: Everything

...Unfortunately i have to give this product my very first "Very poor", as i bought one and was deeply inimpressed with the slow reactions and unhelpful assistance of the software manufactures. The Logic 3 PS2 Carry Kit barely fitted my PS2 slimeline, and when i did finnally push it in and ajust it so the zip would close, the carry kit did not protect the PS2 much, as one of the zips inside it scratched the edges of my PS2. The manufactures when i reported this to them said that it was my fault and that the carry case works for most slimeline PS2's. (???) They refused to replace the carry kit or the PS2 and i was left with the thing that is now in the rubbish bins. I reccomend this item to everyone that wants to break their PS2 or anybody that likes to waste money. This item has won my "Worst product ever" award of 2008!!... Read review

Carry case
Review of Toshiba Notebook carrying case by  redballoon

Advantages: Prevents scratches and damage to your laptop
Disadvantages: Quite costly

...I have just brought a laptop to do some word processing at home. It wasn't a very expensive one, but I wanted to take good care of it so it wouldn't get dirty or scratched. When I brought the laptop I asked the shop assistant if they sold any carrying cases and he showed me a couple of them. The first one felt very cheap and didn't feel as if it would last for very long and it also felt that it would rip easy at the seams. So I asked him if there where any more to look at and he told me that there where a few others but they where more expensive. He produced this Toshiba carrying case and I instantly knew from the look of it that it was more substantial and a better quality material. It was £25.99, which was more than I wanted to pay for a case but I knew that if I brought the cheaper one then it wouldn't have lasted as long... Read review

Sporty and Smart at the same time
Review of Targus Sport Deluxe Notebook Backpac by  pompey_jon

Advantages: Looks good, protects my laptop, Comfortable
Disadvantages: Internal capacity could be greater

...************************Intro***************************** After trudging through too many airports with my trusty but cumbersome Dell laptop case I decided I wanted an easier life. All those people running past me with their laptop backpacks which were easier to carry made me a little jealous, so I decided to do something about it. I took a look at the range of laptop backpacks available in the market and believe me there is a lot of choice. After excluding all of the ones that were designed by three -year olds I decided on a couple of bags from Targus which would suit my Dell 15.4" laptop. Targus say it will support laptops with screens up to 16" and I tend to agree with this I do not testify to know the full history of Targus but I do know they have been in the laptop case business for a fair while, and I have even used... Tomtom - just in case! . . .
Review of TomTom Carry case ONE Case GPS by  smudgeybabes

Advantages: Protects.
Disadvantages: None.

...First the technical stuff, the case is made of plastic, ethylene-vinyl acetate actually, which is a form of soft thermoplastic, including recycled materials, so you could say you are doing your bit for the environment. The outer covering is hardwearing Nylon. The carry case comes complete with a wrist strap, although personally I would not trust it. It has an improved zip, apparently the old one was prone to jamming. The picture Ciao have put up is of the old model, the new one is very similar, just a little more subtle. These cases are a good idea for keeping dust and scratches at bay, however, it may have been a better idea if the case was fitted with belt loops, so you could carry it on your belt, or a strap like binoculars have, rather than risk it slipping out of your pocket, or even leaving it in the car. The downside... Read review

PDA carry case and easy to use
Review of HP Premier Leather Case Carrying case by  JamesDavidson

Advantages: Protects
Disadvantages: Not many - it does its job

...I have to admit I like this one. I got give a simple one which was more like a cover that didnt give access to the screen. This one is smart and opens up to give acces to the PDA which is protect by a thin, but strong, plastic layer. It has little to no effect on the stylus meaning it feels like you are using the PDA without it on. It has a ring holder for a spare stylus or pen and the clear plastic part of the bottom gives access to the rest of the buttons. There are very few problems with it, none that I can find with it. The best bits about it: It is smart, black and sleek so does not look out of place in the scruffiest hand or the most manicurred hand. The thin plastic layer protects the screen without hampering the stylus. You can leave it in your pocket and the PDA doesnt do anything! It protects the PDA, ive... Read review
